They refunded us 69.21!! iCare Repair - Thanks "I care", for breaking our elderly mother's Apple Watch and keeping it for months! - Mobile Phone Repair Near Me - Brighton, Michigan

We brought my wife's iPhone in for a screen replacement, and initially had wonderful service in which it was repaired promptly and with a discount. Unfortunately, the replacement screen was faulty and had to be brought back approximately six weeks later. We were initially told the repair would be covered under warranty; when we went to pick up the phone, the repair person claims - after the fact - two of the internal water damage sensors were triggered so the repair isn't covered. Despite explaining that the water damage was the cause for the initial replacement, and the repair person being unable to show any water damage to the first replacement screen, we were still forced to pay for a second replacement screen. To add insult to injury, the second repair then damaged the iPhone's front camera, which disabled the facial recognition feature. We came back three more times for the repair person to then claim that the water damage was the cause of the broken camera despite the fact that the camera was working before both the first and second repairs and, once again, no evidence that water had damaged the camera in any way. TAKE YOUR PHONES SOMEWHERE ELSE... this business is dishonest and a rip off. read more

I went in to fix the back on my phone. It was cracked but nothing was wrong with it. I was turning it in to Verizon for a new phone and Verizon suggested I go to this place. iCare Repair quoted me $140, which I thought was insane. However I wanted a new phone and Verizon wouldn't take mine unless it was in perfect condition. So after iCare repair put a new back on my phone I noticed right away that I no longer could use my phone as tap pay (which I had done all the time before). ICare repair said they knew what the issues was, something to do with my wifi. when I went to pick it up the lady said she did me a favor by not charging me but next time I would be charged!WTF Now my Apple Pay and my wifi doesn't work! Oh and Verizon won't take my phone! I never had such an awful experienced in my life. I wish you would go out of business!!! read more

Late Yesterday I was given the run around by Verizon's corporate and franchises who DO NOT service their products they sell. Brighton corporate store was rude and unfriendly to customers. Fortunately I was referred to by a customer in line to go to this iCare repair shop. Last night I was greeted by John, their tech who was sociable, friendly and courteous! I would have my phone after 10 am. I didn't mind the overnight wait. This afternoon I was treated by Mel (see her photo) who was super helpful to a customer in front of me having severe issues with her phone. Mel was straight forward and steered the woman in the right direction to get her problem solved. This was a wonderful service, my phone was repaired and ready to go when I arrived. I highly recommend this store due to its hard working manager and tech personnel, Forget Verizon for any repair work, they just don't do it. Bravo iCare ! Because you do! Junk junk junk do not get your iPhone screen replaced here all you will have is problems. They use cheap junky screens to replace that won't stay in. Apple voids the warranty if any third party works on your phone also they charge $40-$80 more than a screen replacement than the Apple Store. I'm leaving a 1 star only because you can't leave a zero star rating, I was told my phone would be done in an hour, the manager (who is the one who i dealt with) never stated ANYTHING about closing early and the business hours on the door said they were open till 7, when I got there a couple min after 6 (when I dropped my phone off just before 5) they were closed. all my bank cards to access my money are stored in my phone, upon picking up my phone today I was told their hours changed and they close at 6, I was never told anything about that, the manager wasn't willing to do anything for the inconvenience she caused me. After calling around, I chose to go there because she said my phone would be fixed in an hour. EXTREMELY unprofessiona, not to mention compared to other repair places they are very expensive, but I was willing to pay it because I needed my phone to be able to access my money accounts and even to get into my house. I will make sure that I tell everyone I know in the area to go somewhere else!!!! HORRIBLE customer service!!!! read more

A good place to take your cell phones etc for repair. They took the time to correctly diagnose my I pad problem. After replacing 2 batteries, they looked closely and found an issue with a charging chip. They are a busy store with constant customers dropping off and picking up their technology. read more

Worst I've ever been treated by a business. I went here about a year ago and just told someone about my experience and realized I never wrote a review and felt I should help you avoid wasting time and money. Long story short, they broke my home button then blamed it on me for a while until they finally admitted it but still wouldn't fix the problem. They'd rather screw a customer over rather than spend $80 to fix their mistake. The long version is below. I dropped my iPhone 5s off to get the screen fixed and a couple days later the screen was popping off so they agreed to replace it for free. But the second time they messed up even worse. As I came to learn, switching a 5s thumbprint home button is basically impossible but the kid who worked there didn't know that and tried to replace mine after he broke one of the chords that connect the button to the phone. Apparently you can't do that or else the thumbprint won't work (I learned this by talking to Apple and going to another local screen repair shop who both told me that icare replaced the home button incorrectly.) We argued for a while and they told me it was my fault because there was rust under the screen and it was just a coincidence that tiny bit of rust caused it to stop working after they replaced the home button with the wrong button. Eventually we "compromised" by me paying about $80 and they switched my phone out for a refurbished one. read more

Avoid this place. Had my iPhone 6 phone screen repaired here. After spending $165 to get a new screen and screen cover, I was extra cautious with handling my phone. Within 24 hours the phone screen cracked completely from corner to corner. My guess is that the glass didn't fit precisely and the extra pressure caused it to crack. When returning to the store they explained they can't warranty it. The rep didn't show any sort of remorse, almost seemed like he was happy to see that the phone screen cracked because then he could get me to spend more money for another repair. Terrible phone screen repair followed up with worse customer service. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

I went into iCare because my hubby is an idiot and dropped his phone. The screen was cracked, but everything else worked fine. We didn't know, but the frame was bent. We went to the iCare by Taco Bell in Brighton. They replaced the screen and we opted to purchase a new glass stick on protector screen. After we got it home, my hubby realized the home button didn't work, he had difficulty turning the power on and the screen was separating from the phone. We went back to the store. They told us it would be under warranty. They realized the home button was broken (although it worked before we took it in). They could only replace it with a regular button (not the fingerprint version that we had). They decided that the reason the screen was lifting was because the battery was bloating, so we decided to buy a new battery. At this point we are about $200 into this repair. A few days later, the protective glass screen is peeling again, it split near the top and half of the screen of the phone stopped working and the home button fell off. Clearly the problem was that they never fixed the real problem, which was the bent frame. Instead of fixing the screens under the warranty, they told me that it was OUR fault and that my husband sat on it, which was absolutely not the case. They never fixed the original problem. Instead they got us to purchase more products that would inevitably fail because the real problem was never fixed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go to Apple if your iPhone breaks. They will help get you to fix it properly and maybe even be able to replace it for you. Do NOT trust this company. They do not stand behind their quality and workmanship even if they tell you that they will warranty their work. I am beyond disappointed. read more
