I was a bit worries when I saw few poor reviews of another Pod Drop store in Farmington, but I've decided to give this Novi store a try. What a pleasant surprise! Ken went beyond my expectation in repairing my iPhone front glass repair. In fact, the first set of glass he has placed appeared defective (at certain angle, you'd see this blue hue, making difficult to see the screen), so Ken suggested to replace it with another one to see if this was a defective glass issue or not. I was like, "if this is the part quality issue, I don't want you to waste your time re-doing the work." To this, Ken said without a hesitation, " well, lets try it and see." The 2nd set of glass is PERFECT; as good as new! It's so wonderful to see business owner going extra mile ensuring customer satisfaction (you rarely come across it, frankly). I have taken many items here to be fixed and had no problem, however, the last time was a huge problem. Don't know if they just changed ownership or what but beware. 1) they don't open on time 2) they don't answer phone, voicemail is full, so you can't leave a message 3) they don't return calls in a timely manner 4) I was told I needed $600's in repairs. I got computer back and discovered it was the power cord - that's it! They had my computer for over a week, what a waste of time. This morning I broke the screen of my sons iPad mini. I knew he would be very upset so I wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. After searching online for a local places that fix iPads I found the pod drop in Novi. I dropped it off and 2 1/2 hours later Jason called and let me know that my iPad was repaired and ready for pick up. I cracked my iPhone 6 plus screen some time last year and took it to Apple Genius Bar - which took probably 1 1/2 hours all together & about half that time is waiting AFTER your appointment time. This past Friday, I dropped my phone in my work parking lot, corner to concrete = cracks all over, and I'm just dreading to go back to the Apple store - I even set up an appointment thinking it was the only option. I knew there had to be a better alternative. So, over the weekend, I look up phone repair shops near my work, which brought me to The Pod Drop. Tons of glorious reviews, "too good to be true?" I thought. Well, I went yesterday, totally skipped my Apple Genius appointment, and was in & out within 25 minutes (glass replacement took literally 10 mins!). I seldom write reviews, but I had a great experience with this place today and felt they deserved some recognition! Like your typical careless dummy, I dropped my iPhone on my driveway and the screen shattered horribly. I took it to this Pod Drop simply because the location was convenient for me...I was expecting typical electronics-store service: a little rude, a little pushy, and a big rip-off. I was so pleasantly surprised! I forgot the name of the gentleman who repaired my iPhone, but I think he may have been the business owner. He was extremely helpful, kind, and friendly, and above all, did an excellent job on my phone. It's as good as new, and the price was reasonable - he gave me an internet coupon they're running even though I didn't know or ask about it. This is what great business ownership is all about...and it's so nice when something that's inherently a hassle (like getting your phone repaired) is made a little bit easier. I was in the wireless business for 18 years and let me tell you these guys know exactly what they are doing (compared to 95% of these other repair shops, using cheap products to repair your cell phones). Jason and Robert where super friendly and honest Apple wanted $129 to repair my speaker and $119 to fix my son's backing on our I phone 6 walk-out paying less than half and it only took them an hour. Not to mention they fixed my girlfriend cracked I phone 7+ screen for only $100! Most other repair stores charge double. WOULD ONLY RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!!! read more

I am sold. A great and reliable phone repair store! I am the kind of person that always tries to fix everything myself first (with varying results) - but I will not longer try that kind of acrobatics with my iPhone! First I sent a message via Yelp to the Novi pad drop store and Robert got right back to me with an estimate and let me know there was not need to make an appointment. When I arrived Jason greeted me and got to trouble shooting right away. I was out the door with a fixed phone in no time! Jason also let me know that I should try to return the battery that I bought because it was no good - which was great because that saved me some extra cash. I was disappointed that the pod drop that was located in Detroit's New Center closed (because that was right around the corner from my house) but after receiving this first rate service I would probably would have opted for the extra drive any way. I dropped my iPhone 8 plus. While the screen did not brake (thanks to the tempered glass I had on it), the 'display' did. I thought I would have to replace the phone. Not so! Based on reviews (and proximity to my home), I called The Pod Drop and spoke to Jason. After a short Q&A I was on my way to the store. Service was fast and personable. The fee was very reasonable. The guys are super friendly while I was there. I had a cracked screen issue on my Iphone 6 so, the guy was really helpful with the questions I had for my phone. It's only took me to wait while there for 15-20 minutes, he offered me a free coffee while wait. He also offered a good reasonable price on my phone battery replacement as same time to have my approve and let me know what's up with it's need. Very fast service, a tad expensive for what it is. Also I think it's VERY fishy that one day after I had my repair done here, there were unauthorized purchases made with my apple account. This hadn't happened in the 5+ years I had it. My device was locked with a pass code too. Can't fully point a finger here, maybe just a coincidence, but very fishy nonetheless. In response to Rebecca - I never said I was asked for my apple Id / password. I stated that the circumstances were fishy, and let me restate "Can't fully point a finger here". How this degrades any integrity of the review remains a mystery to me. Do you know what integrity is? Quick, inexpensive repairs for a variety of smart phone ailments! I have used them three times now for repairs to broken iPhones/iPods, etc, and each time the device was repaired quickly, at exactly the cost that was originally estimated, and such that the issue that caused me to bring the device in for repair did not recur at a later time and date. All this at a fraction of the cost that Apple had quoted for the same repair. Definitely go see them if your device is in need of some TLC. (^_^) read more

Took my daughters iPhone 5 in for a screen repair, this is the 3rd time she has broken it. Service was great got the phone right in and started the repair along with the screen and LCD display the ear speaker was also in bad shape, this was all included in the cost. They spent a lot of time making sure everything was working correctly. Paid a little more then some of the other places but I believe the work put into the phone was well worth it. Also has them put on the tempered glass screen protectors, looks great. I would highly recommend for your phone repair needs, phone looks and works great. read more

Went in today to have my daughter's Iphone 6 looked at, to see if repairing it was feasible/worth it. Iphone was cracked and separating at the seam of the phone. The owner(Robert) I think, was extremely helpful, explained what they were doing, how they were diagnosing the problem, etc.. Long story short, phone needed a new Battery and a new LCD. Got it all done in about 30 minutes for a very reasonable price($100). Extremely happy with service, and would highly recommend. read more

Not only does this store do phone repair, they repaired my computer.....The owner Bob and Jason went above and beyond fixing a problem we had after the big snowstorm in February-we were on vacation and according to neighbors we had a couple brown outs. Dropped my iPhone 4S off at 12:30 in the afternoon with a cracked front and back screen. The total cost was $105, which I thought was pretty reasonable, as I had gotten estimates for over that price to just fix the front screen. I came back an hour later and my phone was ready to be picked up (a half hour earlier than I had told them I would be back), and it is as good as new. I never write reviews, but I thought I should inform people on the awful experience I have had with this store. I dropped my iPhone 5s about 6 months ago and shattered it, and then went to get it repaired at this store with the supposedly shatterproof screen. The first time they fixed it I immediately had horrible issues with the touch screen- it was like a ghost was controlling my touch screen, pressing buttons and scrolling and exiting out of things when I wasn't even touching the screen. I then called them about my problems and they were very generous in offering to replace the screen and try again for free. After driving out to the store twice from Brighton only to have it closed both times (once for a family emergency and a couple of days later for inclement weather), I finally was able get it replaced on the third try. My phone did not improve at all. I called once more and they replaced it a third time, which fixed it temporarily. I didn't have any problems until about a month ago, when I dropped my phone again and the supposedly shatter proof screen that I paid 200 dollars for cracked right down the middle. Now my phone is basically unusable. The touch screen is so glitchy that I can't even send a text. I go on twitter for two seconds before it scrolls around and exits out. Now I have no choice but to go buy a completely new phone for 300 dollars because I have absolutely no trust in these guys to fix my phone again. They seem like nice guys and were very helpful, but I would not trust the service at all. I will NEVER recommend this service, it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with it. read more

I called this store and asked a number of questions about a repair for my Samsung S7; cost, time lines for repairs, types of parts used etc. Apparently, the men on the other end if the phone didn't enjoy customers asking them about repairs and their experience. They ended up hanging up on me, when I called back they said they had work to do...code for not wanting to be helpful to me anymore. They actually told me that if i didnt want to drop off my phone (mine was a longer repair and they stated they would not guarantee a timeline because if someone came in with a shorter repair mine would have to wait) I could "bring a picnic and camp out for all I care". I am appalled at their rudeness and lack of interest to answers customs questions. Went else and paid less. Not a fan!! read more

Utterly surprised that this place is still in business. I was charged $130 to replace a battery, front screen and rear glass on my iPhone 4S. The touch screen became unresponsive within a couple weeks and shortly after, both screens cracked. The battery dies faster than the original that i took in to replace! I was told by Ken that these parts are high quality replacements. I wouldn't recommend an enemy to do business here. I am sickened by this place. read more
