Made an Amazon return. Doing it there is convenient, however I stood at the counter for five minutes while the sales associates ignored me. One looked right at me when I walked up. The one was doing something on a computer while the other just watched. That's bad service. Prices are pretty high there. There arent words to describe how we feel. 7pm on Friday the 13th of December we had a very important project come up and we were stuck. We couldn't get other places to help, they said it cant be done. His name is Miles, found us at the counter, we told him what we were trying to do and he saw the problem other places were having, he came up with a solution and as we questioned his solution he said "I got this". Staples member for many years. Laptop screen malfunction on a 2012 HP, which I bought at Staples. Went to the Brighton Staples to buy a new computer and have my data transferred. Found the ideal computer, that was on sale and on an end cap display. Working with their Tech "Mike", he tells me they're out of stock (no out of stock sign displayed) and then showed me another computer $100 more... I ask for a break on the price, but no way per Mgr. Then Mike tries up selling me Mcafee for an additional $100+ when I told him I have Norton through Comcast, but he kept pushing until I gave him a hard no! Then he tries up selling me on a Staples credit card. Sorry, but I've been loyal to Staples, but the up selling must stop!! read more

Oh man I hate going here. It reeks of corporate big boxism, and on more than one occasion I've been followed around by a "helpful" worker. I'm not sure if it's official Staples policy or what, but basically they follow you around and chat about whatever you're looking at. They don't really know the difference between Gigabit and Fast ethernet or anything that would really help you make a decision between two different products. And yes, I can read the box. They are good at pointing you to the right aisle. And they do stock quite a bit of stuff you wouldn't expect, like art supplies. read more

Bought a tablet here. When the sales "kid" came out of the stockroom with the tablet he was followed by a manager as well as some other greasy kid who kept trying to sell me a warranty. I was rung up by the assistant manager who also tried to sell me the warranty two more times, and then a store card. I had to tell them no each three times, and then they tried making me feel like an idiot for not buying it. I also tried shipping through their UPS center before, and the assistant manager (dumb as a rock) had no idea how to make the label in the system, but he assured me he did. Finally some old lady who worked the center came up to this meathead and asked what the heck he was doing. I took my packages and got out of there. Expect to be hassled by idiots if you go here. read more

I have been to many staples locations before, but this last experience i had at the brighton location was very unpleasant. I needed to print off postcards and the man who helped me was very friendly and nice, but he obviously didnt know what he was doing. He might have been new, i understand. No big deal. But then, apparently their computer software wasnt working. So i had to come back later. Not cool, but ok, fine. So i finish my order that evening and the guy tells me itl be ready first thing the next morning. So i drive back (35 min drive) the next morning to pick them up and the girl at the counter tells me 'well if you would have READ YOUR RECEIPT you would know that you cant pick them up til tomorrow' ... your EMPLOYEE told me they would be ready! She was extremely rude, unapologetic, and made the experience that much worse. For one thing, employees need to know how things work, and if they arent sure, dont tell a customer to come back! For another thing, good customer service goes a long way! Even if something unfortunate happens, if she were to just be nice, i would not feel so unhappy about the situation. This has made me not want to come here again. Rude employee, another employee who didnt know what he was talking about. I would not come to the brighton store again. Go somewhere else! read more

Last month I went to Staples to get my Wedding Shower invitations printed, & that was a huge mistake because they printed them larger than the actual file & cut them completely slanted, which resulted in me having to recenter & recut 2/3 of them myself. The problem that I'm complaining about is my actual Wedding invitations. For my ceremony card they suggested a heavy cardstock in ivory color, which was "popular" so taking their word for it, I complied. But I needed my RSVPs on brown Kraft paper, (which they didn't sell) so they told me to drive across the street & buy some at Michaels. They didn't specify the quantity or weight of the paper that I would need for an RSVP postcard. I was asked to give my phone number so that they could call me when my order was complete & that printing out the 60 copies would take two days.. I never got a phone call, I had to call THEM. On the phone, the guy who answered said that he "ran out" of my Kraft paper.. (how could he have run out when two cards were printed on one piece of paper.. there was 100+ pieces of paper in that stack) & I only needed 60 copies. He took it upon himself to print the rest on the invite color (ivory) instead. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told that my Kraft paper RSVPs were too thin & wouldn't last through mailing. You'd think they'd tell me that the moment I handed them the paper & BEFORE printing them.. They also didn't cut my invitations to the specified size.. or the RSVPs to the mailing guidelines even after I told them & wrote it down for them on the examples that I had left for/with them. & to top it all off, they never even gave me back my flash drive.. which resulted in another drive back. They said "oh, we typically give the flash drives back" but the woman literally took it from my hand, left me the cap, & said it would be a few days... Honestly, I'm livid. What horrible experiences I've had with Staples, I'm sorry to say this but these people are clueless. I will absolutely never return to this establishment. read more

I spent $600 on a Brother MFC9460 laster jet printer...bought their extra service plan on 7/13/11 and as of today 8/8/11 the printer is smoking and the quality is horrible...it is probably just a bad printer, but it's not that they wanted to take care of me at all. Renee, the "manager" sent me to the warranty company and would not exchange (is all I wanted) the printer. IT HAS BEEN LESS THAN 30 DAYS....I will absolutely never shop at Staples again. I have a printer I cannot use and have to deal with a warranty company that is giving me the big run around...POS...I should have never bought from Staples...I will not do it again, learned my lessen. IF this was Sams or Costco...not a problem, they have a great return/exchange policy..they take care of their customers...DON'T SHOP AT STAPLES...they only sell...no customer service. read more
