I went to AT& T yesterday to see about getting a tablet for my niece and also wanted to see about a phone case I saw online. I was helped by Emily. She was able to help me get the right tablet I was looking for. I asked about the case I saw online. She looked up the case. The case was only showing the discount for online order only and not in store. I told her thanks for checking. Emily then went out of her way to see if somehow the store could honor the AT& T online price. It took a few minutes but was able to get me the online price. I entered the establishment and entered my information to obtain help with a phone line that went dead. As I waited, multiples people would not sign in and wait their turn. One employee had up to three customers at a time. At no time did she tell them to sign in, she just tried to help all of them. When I spoke up, the manager intervened and basically told me not to complain. She then proceeded to scold me as though I was her child. I don't appreciate being patronized. This service was worse then Spectrum, who I changed service from to AT&T. Human Resources should evaluate who they hire. I stopped by the AT&T store on Mall View this evening and had a really disappointing experience. I had already spoken with a manager beforehand who assured me that I did not need a screen protector, but when I came in, Karina kept insisting otherwise. She was not just pushy, her tone felt rude and condescending, and instead of being helpful, she made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. By the time I left, it felt like she was talking down to me rather than trying to assist. I usually expect better service when I walk into an AT&T store, but unfortunately this visit left a really bad impression. My wife came in for a new phone and was helped by a lady who ended up messing up her phone's icloud sync and then didn't know how to fix it. Instead of offering a proper solution, she fumbled around with terrible ideas that would result in the loss of her contacts, messages, etc. After noticing how something was wrong after she messed with the phone, she denied she did anything. What's worse is that at the end she laughed it off like it was no big deal. My wife ended up having to go to the Apple store and they immediately identified what she did wrong and fixed it immediately. My grandma has had AT&T for over 10 years now. Everyone in this location is rude & unhelpful. They just want to rush you to get out if you have questions but if you're buying something they want you to spend all the money you can lmao. My grandma lost her phone and had to go get a new one. They knew there was a fee to cancel ur phone early and still convinced my grandma to do it so she had to pay extra money, another worker even told us that we should have waited... as if they didn't convince my grandma to do it. But they take advantage of old people!!!!!!! Do not let ur elder family members go by themselves they will take advantage of you. The manager told us it was going to be 167$ a month for service & the phone so we went back to find out why so much and another worker told us it's only about 70ish dollars a month not 167. Wendy tries to take advantage of senior citizens by selling them expensive things they're not asking for. I witnessed her trying to sell $400 item when they asked for a $20 item. It was so upsetting to hear her try and convince a customer that they do not know anything and she knows what they should have regardless of what they are asking for. I was told my activation fee would be waived, just got my bill and their is a $30 activation fee that Wasn't waived. I also declined the added $17 a month protection on the iPad because so was getting apple care but sales rep added the protection after I told him no. I've worked in various customer service jobs my entire life and one of the first things you're taught is to set time expectations and apologize. Alan did neither, except tell us it would be another 30 min after we sat waiting for 30 min and got up to ask how much longer it would be. My dad had to be present as the account holder and relies on medications nearly hourly to function, the situation could have been avoided if we were just told how long this process would take, basic customer service. My husband and I signed up for "unlimited plans" thinking this would be better, the promotion promised unlimited for data for only 45 a month. This is all lies. They had us pay off an 800+ dollar phone before we could set it up, then failed to mention that the plan was going to increase in price after a month; from 45 to 65. And they took away the only features worth using, the personal hotspot. Had the worst experience with the management there , I got there for a curbside pick up and got there spoke to the manager Carlos told him I had made a order and instructed me to go inside to talk to a associate Emily . I went there with the expectation to go inside and just pay for my phone and walk out happy . I was completely wrong . Instead Emily said my online order wasn't compatible and she had to cancel it . She then proceeds to tell me that my plan is outdated and she has a better plan . I stop her right there and said I'm just trying to get my phone . And then she said if you let me explain I can tell you what benefits you from getting this plan . I let her offer me her option and tell her I don't want to change anything and just want to buy the phone . She then says we'll go ahead and order it online because it won't let us sell it here in the stores hat I had to pay a activations fee for the reason of getting a new phone . I tell her I shouldn't pay anything because I'm not activating a new phone and my phone is paid so there is no need for me to pay a fee.I walk out to talk to the people outside doing the curbside and ask who is in charge of the store and told him about the situation with Emily . I told him I had a email showing the price and that I only had to show my ID and card used . My phone had died to my son playing on it so then I ask for a charger or I can go to my car and charge it . They finally give me a charger . I turn on my phone show him the email and says that they have been having problem with "online order" I specify that I can order it again that I don't want anything extra just my phone and cases instead I got told to order online because I didn't want anything like that . So after going back and forth with Carlos I tell him I'll order it again in front of him and I do . He goes to the back to "look for my phone " which Emily had had our 5 minutes ago mind you and finally comes out after 15 minutes with another employee David who is the one who " got it to work" not only did I pay what I was supposed to pay but I left with a very bad experience from the staff and upper . There was another employee as well management that didn't help . So David's name showed up in my receipt and when they sent me the review email online it showed his name and not theres . I won't be going back and advice people not to either instead I will be driving farther to truxton for a much better experience. It's not the service representative's fault that their company is over priced, so I can't give this branch a bad review just because of that. So I'll judge their quality of service. This location is in an older complex but has an okay amount of parking. When you enter, someone will take down your info into an iPad where your name is entered onto a waiting list that shows on the TV screens. They now have a few tables with high stools so you can at least be comfortable while you wait anywhere from 30-60 mins to be helped. Don't expect to be bumped ahead in line even if your request is SUPER simple. read more

I was promised a new iPhone 7 plus for my birthday and we came to this store right before close yesterday evening. Sixto told us about the current promotions and passed us over to Agie who was going to help me pay off my old phone and upgrade to a new one. The only problem was that they did not have the Rose gold iPhone 7 plus that I wanted in the storage size that I needed, so he reached out to another store and said it should be there and ready to pick up by the time of my appointment the next day (3pm). Agie said he would not be there because he was not working but regardless, it would be there for us to pick up. 3pm the next day rolls around and we come for our appointment. The young lady helping us goes to check for the phone we are expecting in the back room. She comes out five or so minutes later and tells us they don't have the phone. That they employee who was supposed to pick it up 'called out' and that they could send someone to pick it up now but it would probably take around an hour. ...are you kidding me? I am not sure who was 'supposed to pick it up', but Agie already told us he would not be working that day. Was this her attempt to lie about the situation since no one had bothered to go and pick my phone up? Instead of dealing with all of this they could have done me the courtesy of calling me and letting me know it wasn't there. It was a waste of my gas and my time. I will NOT be coming back here. When we moved to Bakersfield, I thought I was going to do a "simple" transfer of AT&T services from our former residence in Torrance to Bakersfield. I found out the "hard" way that once an address is on an original transfer, it can not be reversed on a subsequent order. I have to admit I was very frustrated after the second technician sent out to install our service, also had the wrong address; ending in no connection at all. Kudos to the technician, Alex, who recommended I drop into the AT & T store closest to me. I was very skeptical, because I felt like it would be a Verizon store...where they do no customer service...just sales. HOWEVER...this is where the good stuff comes....I was first met by Fabian Capellino. I explained my "problem". He did admit that they could not change existing orders. However, Fabian consulted his manager, Carlos. Fabian thought outside of the box and offered a new service. Carlos definitely knows the ins and outs of the system. Long story short...I was able to maintain my service. I watched Carlos "work" his connections to make sure I had my service as promised. Moving is always hard...there are always obstacles. It really is nice to know that there are people out there who want to help. I know this was really too long for anyone to really read...I am known to "ramble".
