The staff at the Astra on our recent trip were truly exceptional! We were in town celebrating my mom's bday and they helping make it truly special. From the welcome gift to the room upgrade with the Space Needle view, everyone went above and beyond. The hotel was very clean and in a great location that was walkable to everything we needed. Special shout out to the staff, especially Everett and Gio who were super friendly and great at what they do. Thanks again!

Hotel Astra hotel was easy to find and get to. The hotel itself was absolutely gorgeous, and the decor was definitely my favorite part. Check-in was quick, easy, and very accommodating. We arrived early after getting off our cruise, and even though check-in wasn't until 3 PM, they were able to get us into our room sooner, which we really appreciated. Wesley was an absolute doll and took great care of us, including holding our bags. The view from our room was spectacular -- I honestly couldn't have asked for a better view. Definitely coming back here again!

I was very happy with my stay at the Astra Hotel. It's conveniently located in downtown Seattle and we were able to get around with public transportation. The main bus stop we used to get to Pike Marketplace was just a couple blocks down which was like a 3 minute walk. The check in process was simple and the front desk staff are friendly. I booked the king bed room with the Space Needle view and it was quite lovely. We didn't visit the Space Needle during our quick 2 day trip so getting to enjoy the view from our room was pretty neat. The room was clean and modern, it had a nice subtle space theme to it. It was enough space for my husband and me. I also love the full size shower amenities. I would stay here again in the future if I'm ever back.

Right off the bat Garret was amazing checking us in. He saw us and automatically said let me upgrade you both. The checkin was seamless and smooth very professional and gave us food and night life recommendations after a day of hiking and impromptu stay. The room was perfect for us. As soon as we opened the window you see the beautiful sights of the city and it took our breath away. They have a restaurant on site as well and rooftop club. We walked to this little pizza place we found. A lot of things in walking distance. When we come back to this city we will definitely stay again.

Great spot! Friendly staff and high tech. If you've been in a NYC hotel room, this was spacious in comparison. Comfortable bed, clean. Charging ports by both beds. Motion sensing light for the bathroom. Nearish most attractions. Could be a 20 min walk to the pier or the Space Needle but prepare yourself for hills. Uber was our friend this trip. Our room wasn't ready on arrival but they did store our luggage and it was waiting in our room when we returned. We did not try the restaurant on site but did have coupons for a daily coffee & pastry item from the coffee shop in lieu of a lounge/ free breakfast. Amazing coffee and a great start to the day! Gym was 24 hour access (great for when you're on NY time) and lots of great equipment and a water refill station. We did not have a car so I can't speak to parking. 2 small negatives. The shower had a shower head and a hand held wand attachment. But the wand pressure wasn't adjustable and the shower head is a rainfall style, also not adjustable. If I had needed to wash my hair, this would not have worked. Please, we need women to design these fixtures! There is a rooftop bar with food, buts it's open to the public in the evening which can lead to an hour long wait. Hotel guests should get priority for this. We went up on our last night to see the view but did not stay. Overall, a great experience and I would return in the future.

Space needle at night! Our view from the 8th floor!

Our stay at the Astra Hotel in Seattle was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end! Everything about our experience was just perfect. What impressed me most was the attention to detail and how accommodating the entire staff was. When we switched rooms from one with a view of the air conditioning units to the 8th floor, they made sure we had a beautiful view of the Space Needle. That little extra effort made such a difference! The staff also went above and beyond in so many other ways. They kindly put our refrigerated items away for us, and every time we requested housekeeping, our room was taken care of without any issues. I even requested a microwave for our room, and they provided one for us. Those small things showed us that they genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable. Everyone we encountered was professional, friendly, and welcoming--from the front desk and housekeeping all the way down to the valet staff. Every interaction was pleasant. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, clean, and in a great location for exploring Seattle. We were able to enjoy Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Snoqualmie Falls, and so much more. A huge thank-you to the entire Astra team for helping make our family vacation so memorable. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely choose the Astra again when we return to Seattle!

We stayed one night before our Royal Caribbean cruise. This hotel is fantastic. So lovely and modern. We had an upgraded corner king due to my status with Marriott as titanium. We had dinner downstairs and drinks up at the awesome rooftop bar. Highly recommend. Suggest Don't come with children. This is a sophisticated adults atmosphere Do the Fairfield Inn if you have kids downtown a couple blocks away from Astra

One of the several options for the blinds

Sophistication, cleanliness, and style in a perfect location. It felt like I was the first person ever to step foot into this carefully thought out hotel room. The blinds have multiple control options. The bathroom has floor lights that go on automatically so you can find your way in the middle of the night without fumbling for the light switch. Seattle has great public transportation. There's no reason to bring a car here. The conference I was attending nearby in Bellevue was easy to get to and I enjoyed whizzing by congested car traffic while riding transit. There are great touristy things like art galleries, the Space Needle and other attractions closeby. There are 3 dining options in the hote and they're good. Expect to dress up as they are a bit on the upscale side.

Filtered ice and water

Booked a room on Expedia for a couple nights stay. Upon arrival we circled the block once before finding a place to pull in at the valet, there is only valet for parking at $65/night. The front desks attendant was very friendly and helpful. Our room was almost on the top floor. You'll need your keycard to run the elevator every time. Valet were also very helpful and offered good service. The room itself was very quaint and was not anything special but was nice. It was pretty clean inside, however, the duvet didn't have an actual cover on it and was just two flat sheets. One of our towels was also filthy and stained. There was filtered water and ice available on our floor at the end of the hallway. You can hear people opening and closing their doors nearby from inside your room. The view out the side we were on faces the colleges and therefore had no privacy from either window. They did have privacy shades and the best ice pitcher than kept the ice cold for over a day almost. However, the mini fridge did not really keep any of our drinks or food cold. The gym was pretty nice and clean and the offered disposable headphones. They also had a robot to deliver their room service and you order through their app.

Very nice lobby, there's a cleaning robot in the lobby too. Good location. The rooms are a bit cozy, but contains all the essentials. The room was clean. Two complimentary water bottles were in the room. The beds were comfortable. We had double beds as we had 4 adults. We had a view. The curtains opened and closed through an electric control on the wall. Oh, there's doorbells too. The key car provides access to the lobby and your floor. There's restaurants on site. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Great location and friendly staff. I was going to check in later than usual due to my flight, so I had to call and inform them. It's conveniently located downtown near the places we wanted to visit. They didn't have free breakfast, but they do have two restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in case you don't want to leave the hotel. Definitely recommend.

Downtown Skyline view

I have to start by mentioning the exceptional service provided by Jonathan and Tate at the front desk. They were incredibly hospitable and kind! They gave us restaurant recommendations and a small gift since we were celebrating a birthday. We called the hotel prior to our arrival and were met with laughably bad service by a Marriot rep, but were pleasantly surprised by the service once we arrived. The staff we met throughout our stay were all very kind, but Jonathan and Tate especially. The rooms fell a bit short of expectation. I had purchased a room with a nicer view and was met with a dirty rooftop, litter, and most notably- a giant wall of graffiti. While the surrounding buildings are no responsibility of the hotel, I did feel a bit slighted that I had paid extra for a worse-than-average view. I feel that if you're paying more for a view, they need to put you on a higher floor away from the inevitable obstructions that are an obvious eyesore. The rooms are also very small. The bathroom doors are thin glass panels that slide to "close," leaving a huge gap and nearly no privacy (pro tip - if you're shy, there are pristinely clean restrooms downstairs in the lobby, lol.) Onto the pros, the bathroom counter was spacious, the shower got nice and hot, and the café downstairs was a great breakfast option. The blackout curtains were lovely after a late night spent at the hotel bar upstairs (Altitude Sky Lounge, reviewed separately.) Our view was a little more pleasant in the evening when the graffiti wall was no longer lit by the sun. The beds were comfortable enough and we spent some time in the gym as well, which was tidy and had lots of machines. All in all, I enjoyed my stay, but probably wouldn't return. For a Tribute Portfolio hotel, the rooms felt cheap and the techy theme came across as a bit kitschy. I would, however, consider running in for breakfast at the café or more Seattle recs from the front desk staff.

Two queen beds
Bob S.

The Astra Hotel is a two-year old hotel in the South Lake Union neighborhood. I selected it because it's a Marriott Bonvoy hotel. It's a property that I haven't stayed at in Seattle. I requested a room with two queen beds and it featured an awesome view of the Space Needle. The room was pristine, bedding super comfortable and the only complaint I had was the AC going off at night because it's tied to a motion detector. As a Titanium Lifetime member, I received breakfast vouchers for my entire stay. It allowed me to order anything off the menu at Caffe Ladro during weekdays and the breakfast buffet in the Otium restaurant on the weekend. The Altitude Sky Lounge on the 16th floor features amazing views and tasty bites and craft cocktails. Make reservations with the hostess by the main entrance. We had a quick dinner there on Thursday evening and the food was awesome. Probably my biggest surprised was a Hendricks martini cost $26. I was impressed the hotel provides daily room cleaning, since it's a rarity in today's lodging world. I reviewed the reviews on the Marriott website before arrival and they seemed to be 90% positive. There were complaints voiced about cleanliness and front desk staff helpfulness. I had no issues with either during our stay. In fact, Courtney, who checked me in, was consistently friendly and helpful each time I stopped by the front desk. Given its location near many Amazon offices, it's an awesome place to stay. Another fringe benefit was Uber showed up in literally 1-3 minutes every time we requested a car.

There's only a small area for parking in front of the hotel and it's also the spot for Valet. You'll likely have to post up in the travel lane to check in or drop off your car. The hotel has some unique amenities but I wasn't able to use them for such a short stay. The King corner room far exceeded my expectations. It's spacious and felt pretty luxurious. The star of the room is the soaking tub. It's deep and the water is hot. I especially liked that there's a separate shower. The workspace is nice and there are plenty of plugs for everything. The Nespresso comes stocked and is free to use. The mini bar, not so much, and it's pretty pricy. The bed. THE BED! If I could have brought it home with me I would have. It's lush and it smelled good. Like fresh dryer sheets good. I don't think I've ever said that about a hotel bed before. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did it was pleasant. I am definitely staying here again.

Gym location is not great - below basement so it's small and without any natural light. Because I often use Hyatt points, I find I am usually placed in a room very close to and facing another building/ parking garage . . . making the room very dark and without any view. I had a great stay at The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown and would definitely consider staying here…read moreagain. I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The Hotel occupies the first 10 floors of the ARRIVE Building where the floors above are dedicated to the residents and they share the common areas with the hotel guests. Upon arriving at the front desk, I checked in and was told the room would be ready shortly but it was more like 4 hours later. I found the front desk staff to be professional but not very friendly. There is a lounge area on the 7th floor with a bar and indoor / outdoor seating. At night it is particularly nice because there is an electric fire pit with great seating and view of the Space Needle. Again, the bar staff was professional but not very welcoming. The room we stayed in was a corner room but it only had one windows on one wall so the room stayed pretty dark. It was comfortable and cool with very good bedding. The bathroom was great and it even had a heated floor. Check-out was okay eventhough they had to adjust our bill because we were not credited our Hilton Honors credit for both of us in the room which took a while. It seems that the ride share car services wait outside the hotel on cruise ship mornings so getting a car takes only a minute or two. I would stay at this property again with hopes for a more welcoming staff.

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. As soon as I stepped out of my Uber upon initial arrival, a staff member walked up to open my door and asked if I needed help with my bags. My room was comfortable in every aspect. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years. This hotel is an excellent choice for those wanting to stay in a waterfront property that's walkable to the cruise terminal as well. Though Four Seasons is not the most cost effective option for a comfortable hotel in downtown Seattle, I highly recommend this hotel based on my recent experience in June 2025. Where to start.... Location, location, location! The hotel is literally a block away from the entrance to Pike Place Market where you can spend days shopping, snacking, and enjoying the views of the water. The views from the hotel room are breathtaking as the Great Wheel (Ferris wheel) and Aquarium are just a few minutes away by foot. From the Four Seasons, we were able to walk to Chinatown in under 30 min (you can also take the train just 2 stops down) and Seattle Center where the Space Needle is located is also walkable and also accessible via monorail. The staff greets you at the door every time you enter and exit, and the lobby is full of surprises like premium coffee and tea in the mornings and a candy bar in the afternoon. Every time our room was serviced, it was done to perfection and then some. The chat function on the app was amazing as I was able to make requests and ask questions with ease. Responses were close to immediate. At the front desk and concierge, staff are also very friendly and treated us with respect and honor. They also provided great advice for food and sightseeing options close by. They never tried to sell me stuff where they would make money off of it. I could go on and on, but I have to say that my family's experience was extremely memorable, and if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. If you're looking for the optimal location for breathtaking views, seconds away from Pike Place Market, and still walkable to the Space Needle, Chinatown, the Convention Center, etc., this is it, y'all!
