This salon is walking distance from my office so every now and then my coworker and I like to treat ourselves to a pedicure while on break. It is a great way to spend an hour - vibrating chairs, massage on feet and calves with two different good smelling lotions, and fairly current magazines if you don't feel like being social. They have a huge list of services they provide, in varying prices, and a large staff so it's easy to get an appointment. There were four of us getting pedicures today. The salon is always clean and the staff is very pleasant. Great assortment of colors. And bonus, they sell jewelry for really cheap. I bought a great necklace today for $9. read more

Updated update: The owner made me feel bad for posting this review saying it negatively affects the livelihood of the staff even though I didn't state who the worker was. And why is it my fault that the nails keep chipping? Its not like I'm playing soccer with a fresh gel pedicure, I have an office job!! I'm not bashing on anyone I'm just giving my honest opinion about the service, but apparently that is not allowed! Needless to say, they lost a customer. Update: I got a gel pedi for the first time on Tuesday & by Wednesday, one nail had chipped. By Sunday, another nail had chipped. The ladies were very nice, which is the only reason I'm giving this 2 stars. It was easily the worst quality mani/pedi I've ever had. I got shellac on my nails and it started peeling up TWO days after I got it done, and it's supposed to last two weeks! I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to make that happen either. Also, I had one toe where the polish just completely fell off in one big piece while I was sitting in bed, and I've never had that happen with a pedicure! Usually a good pedi lasts wayyy longer than that. Very disappointed and wish I could get my money back since I paid more here than I do other places. Extremely upset with the quality. read more

Okay, review time! I'm literally sitting in the parking lot after my third visit to this wonderful salon and I can't say enough good things about them! My first visit was right before my birthday- I wanted to treat myself to a gel mani before the big day. The first thing I noticed was (the ease of booking through Yelp!) and how absolutely clean and beautiful this salon is! The women at the front desk (who I later learned were the owners) could not have been more friendly and personable - even helped me select a color! My manicurist Chelsea did a great job, and i loved the color. Fast forward 6 days later and I had a giant chip in my thumb nail- which was strange, as gel typically lasts 2-3 weeks on me. I took a chance and messaged be salon (through Yelp!) and they were super accommodating to get me in that day and fix it for me. They were apologetic and went out of their way to make me feel accommodated. Unfortunately the gel again didn't hold up for me. No idea why- could be the brand they use or the color. It all ended up chipping within week 2, and I just took it off. I decided to book a pedicure here this week (again, through Yelp) and Deena (one of the owners) made sure i got right in the next day. Upon walking in, she immediately remembered me and asked how the gel had held up this time. I held up my hands and explained it didn't, and maybe it was the type they use or the fact I have to use a ton of hand sanitizer at work. Either way I wasn't upset, just chalked it up to "one of those things" and obviously wasn't avoiding them as I was there for a pedicure. Well, she was apologetic, and absolutely insisted I get a new gel mani "on her." Only because she said "I don't want you to be unhappy and you deserve to have it last." I tried stating it was ok, but she insisted. So i just left after a wonderful pedicure in their comfy chairs and a re-do gel mani. Not to mention- these ladies all make you feel so comfortable, offering you drinks and magazines, even to put the TV on to something you like. Everyone working here is in a good mood and is personable. The owners Deena and Angela are constantly HUSTLING around, helping all of the people working and cleaning or doing a variety of things around the salon. So I would highly recommend checking Astique out for your nails(they also offer hair services - I haven't gotten mine done but what I've seen has looked great). We had a nice experience at the salon originally but once my daughter had gotten home we've paid over $200 plus 55 in tips for nails to get done. That night 2 of my daughter's nails popped off and my gel manicure and pedicure was mediocre at best, also Our service took OVER 4 hours to complete! she did go back to the salon the next day and got them fixed (again another 2+ hours) & Within 3 days the rest of her nails had completely popped off including the 2 that were fixed. I was so disappointed with the quality of work done. We did have one amazing technician the manager but the other two were awful. So disappointing when you spend good money for horrible work. I have for almost my entire life gotten my hair cut by a guy whos been cutting mens hair for the last 30 years. I went there to get my hair cut by Sam and she gave me the greatest hair I've ever gotten, literally. hahaha who knew! I have another appointment in a few weeks. I am new to Tucson and was excited to try this salon for a manicure/pedicure. I was instructed to make an appointment online. I created an account and make the appointment for 5:30pm. When arriving a blonde lady at the desk seemed annoyed that I walked in and was told there wasn't availability... I explained that I had made my appointment online and she proceeded to tell me that I didn't and even went as far to show me her outlook calendar. Honestly, I thought I would really love this place! I made an appointment for a dip manicure, and asked if they offered that service. The owner assured me they did and that they would be more than happy to accommodate me. First, they did not have a color wheel for the dip so I had to just look at the powders and hope for the best when picking a color. Then my technician, Mandy, took 3 HOURS to do the whole manicure. She put on two whole sets of tips because she messed up the first time, and then cut all of them unevenly (this is with the second set). I was so over sitting there for so long that I was ready to leave. She then asked me at the end how long a manicure typically takes, and when I told her an hour, she was shocked, then she said she hadn't done a dip manicure in 9 months. I am not sure why I was scheduled with someone who hadn't done one in so long, and if I had known I would've picked doing gel or something. She also cut my skin on multiple fingers, and implied that I might just have sensitive fingers, but I can't control whether or not they're going to start bleeding. It's been about three days, and the top coat is literally withering off. It looks so tacky. The owner was walking back and forth as this was going on, and I was truly surprised she didn't say anything. If you want a professional experience, I would not recommend going here. read more

I got my hands and feet done last night by Cris. They did an amazing job. We did polygel on my nails and they came out so beautiful. Even though we were there for a while they made sure I left happy. I feel bad that we were there so long but am very happy with how my nails came out. They filed them the way I asked, lengthened them more when I asked, and took the time to file under to smooth and thin the nails as well as file and repaint when the drill took off a little polish instead of just painting over it and creating bumps in the nails like other places would have done. I honestly don't even want to give this place one star but I will say their customer service is decent. I paid over $50 for a full acrylic set which is already ridiculously overpriced and then within the first 2 days, 5 of my nails fell off. There was absolutely no reason for them to fall off. I wasn't doing hard labor or lifting things that would cause them to break. Also, it wasn't a painful break off like what would typically happen if you just had them put on. Nope, the whole nail broke off when it was barely touched. Absolutely ridiculous and super overpriced for nails that don't even stay on. read more

if i could give Astique Salon 0 stars i would. first of all TWO of my gel nails have chipped already and it's been less than a WEEK. also, they charged my friend and i for the more expensive pedicure without even asking so we ended up paying $80 each for gel nails and normal pedis. (didn't even get a massage)...when we went back to ask why they charged us so much for our toes, the lady told us next time we need to be more clear that we want a normal pedi...... why does the staff just assume we want a more expensive pedi without even asking?!never going back. read more
