I am a HUGE collector of shoes of all styles, colors and brands (147 pair as of now). I recently visited this ASICS Outlet store to purchase one pair of good walking/running shoes as I have rededicated myself to my heath and fitness in a big way. Upon entering the store, I was immediately welcomed by two store employees and allowed to browse the store without being followed or spied upon like other stores. Only when I had a few questions, did store employee , Manny approach me. Manny was able to assist me, answer all my questions and even introduce me to a new and free discount the company now offers customers. I was unable to select only one pair of running/walking shoes so before I knew it, I had three pairs of shoes and two packs of socks on the counter, ready to compete my transaction. I also had two other employees assist me while I was shopping in the store despite other customers shopping as well. The customer service I received was EXCELLENT!! On a Sunday morning in early July, I came to the store to exchange sizes at the Citadel outlets. I lined up to exchange shoe sizes and the cashier was helpful. They had a promo buy one get one 50% off. Example, The gel contend has wide size and pleasant colors. So I found the same color and same wide size. My husband also bought the same shoes. It's fast, convenient, and hassle free plus I hardly have time to drive to the stores but this weekend I went down to this ASICS store to pickup and return an order and I had such a great experience. Eduardo, the gentleman helping me out was such a lovely human. He was attentive, quick and super friendly all while having to handle other in-store customers as well as the ringing phone. I noticed he took the time to acknowledge all customers walking in or who were waiting, to assure them that he knew they were waiting for help. He helped me get the best deal for my purchases and actually alleviated my stress from making some wrong online purchases. We went on a Sunday afternoon to get some shoes. ASICS has some of the best running shoes. The employees there were pretty knowledgeable and were able to give some good recommendations. A good pair of shoes for her jogs. We found a really good deal. She tried them on and loved them. We mixed the boxes up by accident, then checked out. When we got home and were about to gym, we realized that we put 2 right shoes in the box. Yikes! So we went back in the next day to get it sorted out. The employee only laughed at us a little. Hello, I went to this store the other day, in preparation for a long walking trip to Europe. I was in need of comfortable shoes and the angel "Nathan" helped me. He assisted on the phone and upon my arrival to the store, he was more than helpful. He took my shoe measurements, studied the arch of my foot and brought me the right shows according to my foot shape, verses a standard shoe that would be no good for me. He found me a shoe that feels as if I am walking on clouds. I even got an athletic outfit to go with the shoes! He was more than helpful. He treated me like a Queen. Coming to Asics outlet was for me more fun than visiting Disneyland, it's like the Mothership filled with all things Running. I really had no intent on buying anything from here having already just got 2 new pairs of Athletic shoes minutes before but as it turned out I found the most comfortable pair of shoes ever. The new Asics Gel Nimbus 17 were not all that exciting to look at but when I saw they had my tiny size 5 on the shelf I decided to try them anyway and holy cow.. it was like wearing pillows on my feet. Priced at $110 even with the discount I was going to put them back until Hubby saw I was excited about them and agree'd they're perfect for me given the distances I run. My shopping experience was brief but the staff were friendly and the selection here is much larger than my local outlet, I noticed that they had many of the smaller sizes which are hard to find so if you're petite and struggle to find Athletic gear in other store's this is a great place to come. read more

Love ASICS shoes for running, and excited that an ASICS outlet store just opened at the Citadel Outlets last month. Came on Black Friday hoping to score a deal but walked away disappointed! No Black Friday deals at all on mens and womens shoes, except for socks and kid shoes! Only the adult clearance shoes were discounted. Checked out ASICS online and found that a Black Friday promotion discount of 30% was available for purchases online. I rarely buy shoes online without first trying them out, especially running shoes, and wishing that they a similar promo at the outlet store. read more

Markos is the man! I went to Footlocker, Nike, and 2 other high performance running shoe stores in Santa Monica. All of which only carried stylish running shoes or didn't carry my size or limited asic options. I drove 50 minutes to get me a pair of Asics. They are the best running shoes, and I am loyal to the brand that takes care of my feet. I was greeted by Markos. Told him the type of running I do, the mileage, I put on and the style of shoe I wanted to invest in. What impressed me was his keen knowledge of the product and engineering of each shoe. I love this store! They have excellent customer service. All their employees are very helpful in guiding you through the best model shoe according to your needs and preferences. Occasionally they have their Buy one get one 80% (yes, that's right 80%) which is a STEAL for getting quality running shoes. In my opinion, ASICS have the BEST running shoes in the industry because they are well made and have superior padding in the shoe. They also carry shoes in wide size which I appreciate, which give me a better fit as opposed to normal width shoes. You will not be disappointed in coming here. Let me start off by saying my feet are very picky. Not many shoes made these days do my feet justice. So in recent years I have been buying higher end running shoes for walking, going to work, going to the gym. I've been buying $160 Brooks like Transcend and so forth but I never pay that much. I always find them for about $90 but they are the previous model that's on closeout at various places. Well, I've had Asics in the past but haven't purchased any in a long time. Was at Citadel last week with my mom and sister and stopped by the Asics store while they were at Ann Taylor. Tried a few on and saw their sale prices, buy one and get the second 80% off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thought about it and went back there yesterday (Yes it's 2:00 in the AM the next day and I'm up all night at work!) with a friend. Purchased two pair that were $170, so the first was full price and the second was 80% off so after tax I say the average price of each of was about $110 or so. More than the $100 after tax I used to spend on old model Brooks BUT my feet liked these Asics and they felt great. So it's worth it. Also the outlet is great because it's easy to find a pair my feet like but searching for closeouts like the Brooks at various sources is hard to do. Not all shoes from Asics or Brooks my feet like, it depends on the model but they have enough models that I found what I want. There is a big difference in quality between lower priced and higher priced shoes and it's well worth it, believe me. If you can afford it, buy it. Now to the staff. There were three people working there. Two ladies and one guy. I dealt with Jennifer mostly. I didn't catch the name of the other lady but she smiled, said hi and was very pleasant. The guy helped me too as well and I didn't catch his name but he was very nice and helpful. He's a champ and he's a plus for the company. Jennifer was helpful and pleasant. She has a professional and positive demeanor as well as the guy. She's a real gem. She's an asset to the company. She helped me the most and really did a great job of finding the size I needed and making sure I got what I needed. At the register she was very good too. Made the transaction fast and smooth as glass. But overall I'd say that I'm going to be a repeat customer as long as the shoes still are compatible with my feet and the sales are right. Hope to get Jennifer as my sales associate again, but if she's not there I know all the staff are very competent and helpful. My feet and myself thank Jennifer, the other sales guy and Asics shoes. I give the staff and store 5 Stars and Two Thums Up! By the way, one last thing, they are called Asics for a reason, because they are great shoes and they are not bAsics, they are beyond bAsics, they are Asics. I went to this store in search of a specific model for my problem feet -- pronation, bunions and accessory naviculars! I didn't expect any kind of service since this was in the outlet mall but boy was I mistaken! It was a better experience than I've had at the stand alone stores in other cities. My husband (size 12), toddler and I (size 8.5) were at this ASICS (Citadel Outlets) this past Saturday to make a two-shoe exchange. We stopped by the desk to let them know we would like to make an exchange. We went to check out the shoes and almost immediately, a staff member asked if we needed help finding or accessing shoes. He grabbed a ladder and got down a 7.5W and 8.0W shoe for me. After that, Daniela stopped by to see how my husband and I felt about the shoes. My husband told her that the shoes he was exchanging did not fit; he felt pressure under his arch and the shoes were too tight around the toe box. Daniela was extremely helpful! We had originally purchased pronated-style shoes (for flat feet). Daniela checked out the way my husband and I walked, and she recommended that we check out their neutral-style shoes instead. She proceeded to spend 45 minutes showing us all of their neutral style shoes and helping each of us find and try on at least 8 pairs of running shoes for about 45 minutes. My husband was having an extremely difficult time finding a shoe that fit well. Daniela recommended a mesh-style shoe, since the other shoes weren't wide enough. With Daniela's help, my husband found the most comfortable pair of shoes (size 12) he's ever owned! I found a fantastic shoe (size 8) too, but I'll be visiting again soon to exchange for a half a size bigger (size 8.5). We've only had GREAT experiences at this ASICS! The customer service is amazing! Marcos or Marco is incredibly knowledgeable with the products and also with feet anatomy. I have plants fiicitus and he helped me find shoes with high arches. And he was right! The first time I ran with them on I felt like I could conquer the world with them. My husband also got a pair and he doesn't want to take them off. We took my sister in law to grab a pair in another visit and Marco recognized us and was happy to help us. He asked her to take off her shoes. Walk back and forward and he was looking how her feet would move, he asked some more questions and ended up suggesting a shoe that she loved too! He truly is amazing! He answers to the best of his ability and takes time with you. The whole staff was super nice and asking how we were doing. The prices are pretty high but you get what you pay for. Running shoes are an investment. Ive always been Team Nike but after these purchasing my running shoes, I will never go back! They're great quality shoes. I have to say I have always been a New Balance fan. After relocating the nearest New Balance Outlet Store was over 60 miles away. So I have ASICS a try again and have to say I am impressed with the shoes I purchased here. I spent a little more than I wanted to but really like what I got here. My feet tend to take a specific model of shoe and the staff here did a excellent job with finding me what I needed for foot support ETC. Came in here for Christmas shopping where my sister found one jacket from clearance that says buy one get one, but the rest of the apparel on the floor are all 50% off. Hoping that clearance section will be a lot cheaper, at the cashier they only offered me 30% off!!! I asked if they can just treat it as any other full price in the store so i can get 50% instead but they insisted that they can't do it, which totally does not make sense at all and their staff only reply was "that's just how it is some things make sense and some things don't" in the most annoying tone of his voice from which i decided that I will not spend my money and support this business no matter how much my sister loved that jacket, when i said i will not take it and on my way out, that same guy sarcastically said "i hope you enjoy your day!" A very UNPLEASANT day indeed in the store. NEVER COMING BACK i have been to other stores that have pleasant employees despite of busy times during holidays! This store did not even have a line and their employees are all bunched up in the cashier area. Not happy with the experience.
