A solid choice in the area... always steady for take out, I would never say it's busy, and almost no one eating in. Food is very tasty on standard, 3 star because it tends to super high on veg volume and lite on the protein... always and noticeably. The whole place is very clean and always well tended to which I really appreciate as it's a great sign of care... if the staff/owners don't tend to the shop what's going on with the food?! No doubts here... fresh and clean :)

Left Not Mongolian Beef. Right not Moo SHU pork. If you look closely you can see the sauce in the Moo SHU

Worst Chinese food I have tasted. Saturday June 18, 7PM,order #47. Mongolian beef unlike all other restaurants. Ordered mild spice came so hot the taste spoiled the remainder of the meal. The dish was beef and snow peas and a very different sauce. This is not Mongolian beef. Moo Shu Pork, usually light and tasty seemed like something else maybe chop suey had a lot of liquid brown sauce. The third dish Kung Po was acceptable. We through out the Mongolian beef and Moo Shu. Made dinner a $40 one dish dinner. I did phone and the person confirmed that their Mongolian beef has a lot of snow peas. NEVER GOING BACK. LH

Love this place not only for takeout during the work week, but also great on a Sunday! Friendly, quiet, safe. Thank you Asian Kitchen Team!

It…read moreimmediately brought to mind the family's lakeside gatherings, where everyone was impeccably dressed and every dinner felt like an occasion. The restaurant captures that same timeless elegance of the late 1950s. From the moment we walked in, I knew we were in for a special evening. The candle burning in the reception area smelled amazing and set the tone before we were even seated. The service was impeccable, the lake views were gorgeous, and every detail was thoughtfully done. Even the restrooms were beautiful--spotlessly clean with elegant wallpaper, vintage-inspired furnishings, and even a mother's room, adding to the nostalgic 1950s flair. Now, let's talk about the food. Start your evening with a Boulevardier--it just sounds elegant, and it certainly tastes the part. Pair it with the fully loaded shrimp and crab bisque for a fantastic start. For your entrée, order the filet Oscar with asparagus and whipped potatoes accompanied with additional sides of hen-of-the-woods mushrooms and candied carrots. I also enjoyed an Infante with my filet, and it was the perfect complement to the meal. And whatever you do, don't skip dessert. The rhubarb dessert was the perfect ending--creamy, crunchy with a light meringue topping, and filled with tart rhubarb that balanced every bite. If you're looking for a place where Lake Country celebrates life's special moments, The Commodore is it. With impeccable service, stunning lake views, timeless 1950s-inspired elegance, and exceptional food, it's an experience as much as it is a meal. Make a reservation--you won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately, the service and follow-up were disappointing. We were not initially offered a wine list, and when we asked about ordering wine for the table, our server assumed we wanted individual glasses. The menu also referenced a soup of the day and dessert of the day, but we had to specifically ask what they were rather than having them explained to us. The biggest issue occurred when we ordered four desserts for the table but were charged for seven. I replied to one of the restaurant's follow-up emails explaining our experience and requesting contact from a manager. I received a quick response saying my message had been passed along, but more than a week went by without hearing from anyone. I then called the restaurant directly, provided my information again, and was told a manager would contact me and address the overcharge. Another week has now passed, and I still have not been contacted or refunded. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, and I gave the restaurant multiple opportunities to resolve the issue privately. While we will likely continue visiting other Bartolotta restaurants, we probably will not return to The Commodore. It is unfortunate because the food was good and the setting was truly 10/10, but the lack of follow-through has overshadowed the experience.

Great place for a special occasion, but they don't hit it out of the ballpark every time...maybe 4 out of 5 (hence 4 stars). The food at Palmer's has always been very good. My wife and I have only ever had steak here as entrees. My go to is a med-rare ribeye and my wife always goes with a mid-well filet butterflied (I know, I know...shaking my head as I type that). They also have a really good tomato and fresh mozzarella salad that is a great starter (the balsamic is what makes it stand out). Service here is pretty spot on the majority of the time and all of the people that we have interacted with have been friendly. It can get relatively loud if you are sitting in the main dining room area, and this is where we have always been seated.

I did not know this was the oldest supper club in Wisconsin, dating back to 1848! How have I not been before? Anyway, I was going for a walk with my gf, and we were talking about dinner ideas. Then I remembered seeing a lot in social media about Red Circle Inn, so I called and found out the bar seating was first-come-first-served, so we went straight there. Attire is casual, and the space is beautiful! Lots of great classic photos, pieces of history, with some signs of updates. We started with cocktails and apps: Sprecher Root Beer pork belly and classic supper club dishes Shrimp DeJonghe & French Onion Soup. All were delicious, but the French Onion Soup really stood out to me because the broth had so much flavor, and it was loaded with onions and a thick layer of cheese! My gf ordered the entree special, a bone-in glazed veal chop over mushroom risotto, and I ordered a 12oz cut of prime rib because supper club. Her risotto was cooked to the right consistency and her veal chop was tender and delicious (of course I tried her dish!). My prime rib was perfect! It had great seasoning on its own, and the jus served with it took it to another level. I think it was the best prime rib I've ever had, definitely my current one that I'll compare others to. It would have been smart to leave really full at this point, but we decided we couldn't pass on the Rhumchata bread pudding, and why not add tje dessert special Citrus Panna Cotta with fresh berries. Wow! Yes, we took home leftovers, and yes, we had to be rolled out, but it was worth it. We received excellent service from Quentin, and the GM Kyle was providing tours and history lessons, so we joined one. You need to go!

I was here for a birthday dinner. We had a table that faced the window, so we had a great view of the lake. It was a Saturday, and they even had a guitarist playing music, which was a nice touch. We ordered the smash burger and the salmon. The meat in the burger was very tender and flavorful. It melts in your mouth. We chose the truffle fries with it and these complemented the burger nicely. I liked the fries more than the burger. The salmon came with crispy skin on top, which is my favorite part of salmon. The best part of that dish was the crispy roasted brussels sprouts, probably the best I ever had! So rich and savory! They made my partner's birthday special with a dessert on the house. We shared a rumchata bread pudding, which was sweet but not overpowering. They even wrote "happy birthday" in chocolate and gave him a handwritten card. They really went above and beyond. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the appetizers - especially the incredible seafood and cream cheese appetizer with sweet chili sauce - and everything from the creamy risotto to the stuffed chicken was delicious and beautifully prepared. It was one of those meals people were still talking about long after dinner was over. What made the evening especially memorable, though, was the hospitality.
