Great China is as advertised, great! We first stopped here after a yoga class next door. We were hungry and wanted food fast! We ordered chicken with garlic sauce, General Tso's chicken, crab rangoon , and pork egg rolls. All were hot and tasty and the service for our to-go order was quick! My wife particularly liked that she could order a lower heat level on her General Tso's. She did point out that there was a lot more chicken than broccoli (no loss)! The inside is small and typical for a storefront restaurant. The bathrooms could use some attention and I'm not a fan of seeing supplies stacked in the dining area. However, the food was great. So we'll keep it a place for carry out. Definitely give Great China a try. read more

We had General Tso, Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Dumplings, and Egg Rolls. Staff was friendly, quick, and hustling as they were moving for a Monday night. Both dishes had a lot of flavor, fried rice was some of the better rice we've had in the area! We will be back for sure! read more

The best place for Chinese in the area! I've tried several other Chinese restaurants in Ozaukee County, but I always go back to Great China for my take-out. The order is always accurate and it's still piping hot when I get it home. I've had several different dishes, and I've enjoyed them all. There was a dead bug in our white rice and a hair in my walnut shrimp. Kind of lost our appetite after that. It was the 1st time we had ordered from here. I guess we could have just had really bad luck. On the plus side the flavors of what we did eat were good. What I ate of my shrimp was fantastic and my husband was enjoying his as well. read more

I was a little nervous if Ozaukee County could pull off a chinese food that would be as good as the stuff you get downtown. Great China figured it out. While it may not be "the best" in the entire metro area, we love going here for take out. I giggle every time we get some free two liters of soda, as it's not necessary but a nice freebie. They are super fast in cooking the food, nice, friendly, and make good food. We tried a few other places in the area and this one is the best, in my opinion. We typically order about 5-6 entrees for the whole family, so we have had a lot of different entries to sample from. We have always been happy with the food they make. Go there. This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area, the food is always fantastic with fresh vegetables and tender protein. Highly recommend the mushu pork, I love the way they prepare it with egg, mushrooms, and cabbage, and the egg drop wonton soup. Best Kung pao chicken in the area. The chicken is sliced thin and so tender. The vegetables are also diced perfectly.

Hidden gem..we tried it few days back out of tecommendation from a freind..really good authentic food, the quality of meats was great (not fatty or chewy), well balanced flavors, quick service (food generally ready in 10mins) and maintaining Covid measures very well..you dont even have to get out of your car. They spot you from the window and bring you your food. Felt very safe. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for take out! read more

Everytime you call this place for takeout, they say 10 minutes. Everytime you get there you wait for at least 30 minutes past what you were told. We moved to Cedarburg from Seattle and have tried just about every Chinese or Asian restaurant in the Ozaukee area, looking for good food with the right authentic seasoning, meat that is tender, not grizzly or overcooked, and food that is tasty and hot when you get it. Great China delivered on all of these items and they were fast. We had four very different dishes and all of them were delicious and worth the money. The food is tasty but not enough for me to choose this restaurant over the other Chinese restaurant in Cedarburg. I was disappointed that they serve some of their entrees in plastic containers rather than the paper cartons that are more Eco-friendly. I try not to eat foods that are served and/or heated in plastics as they can leach chemicals into the foods. read more

The food is above average for the choices available in the Grafton area. Generally order the sweet and sour chicken or Hong Sue Chicken. Fried rice is a little over average, which is not bad. Portions a very large for the money. Food is always hot and ready when they it will be ready and if you stop in to order to go it's ready in about 10 minutes. All in all doesn't look like much based on the strip mall appearance but worth a try I don't eat seafood so I can't review those choices. read more

We have been looking for a good chinese since we arrived in Cedarburg. I think we found it. We had the spicy egg plant and the shredded beef, both were spicy, fresh and delicious. This place isnt fancy, think your basic looking strip mall wisconsin chinese. Really bad food. I ordered the Beef with Snow Peas and it was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I lived in Hong Kong and have traveled in China and, while I don't expect a lot from Chinese food in WI, I certainly expected better than what this place served. This was the first time I've ever eaten here and I certainly won't be returning. The beef was tough, the vegetables undercooked, and the taste was very bland. Yuck. read more

I have an affinity for the "old school" Chinese restaurants, not this mediocre strip-mall fare with the square food photos behind the register stuff that proliferates the area lately. My husband has been enjoying the lunch specials, as he works nearby. We visited together on 1/1/2013 and I was so happy to have a server and a decent place to sit! I was merely tolerating Spring Garden in Grafton, but that cold seating area that was often hosting the staffs' children used to drive me crazy! I will definitely return to Great China. My Kung Pao Chicken was spicy without having to ask for "extra spice." My husband had the imaginary General Tso's Chicken combo (with that standard fried rice everyone tries to pass off as fried rice these days! Just say it's rice with soy sauce and call it a day already!). While no Peking Palace in terms of decor, the food was solid and the staff more than attentive. read more
