First time here AND first time have pho! That said, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I was pleased with the staff being informative and serving me something yummy! I got chicken spring rolls and chicken pho. Spring rolls tasted fresh and the sauce it came with made it 10x better. The pho was a big serving with plenty of garnish's on the side to add. Place was decently busy, and even with that my service was great! Can't wait to come back! read more

Perfection, clean, inviting, and comfortable... you can smell the good food when you walk in! Mindy our waitress was so kind and friendly. We learned that her family works together here to give this community the best Thai food around. We live in south Milwaukee, and this is definitely worth the drive!! Thank you Bamboo Bistro for a wonderful experience! read more

I really enjoy bamboo bistro! My absolute favorite thing from the restaurant that I've gone to some times just for it, is the TOM KHA - it's SOOOOO good! I recently tried the Red Curry and honestly, it may be my new favorite. I've never eaten at the restaurant before, always do take out when with friends so I can't speak much on the ambiance. The services when picking up food is efficient but not super welcoming. Which I don't mind since I'm usually only there for a few minutes. Overall, I really recommend this place!! I love Thai & Laotian food and think very well of Bamboo Bistro. read more

I did a takeout order online and it was seamless. It was ready when I got there and still hot when I got it home. I got the panang curry and the portion is GENEROUS. I'll be eating it for a few days. Definitely recommend if you're a curry person read more

My BF and I came to Bamboo Bistro on the 4th of July weekend. The former Pizza Hut is charming and well repurposed, with a comfortable vibe. Service was extremely polite and quick. We started with the Basil Tofu which was superb - perfectly light and crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the interior with great flavor. It ranks among the best fried tofu I've had anywhere. I tried Pad Thai, which is good barometer dish for me. It was excellent and there was enough food for two meals. BF got the Pad See Ew and thought it was extremely good as well. We will certainly go back. read more

Can't recommend this place enough! Wow! We ordered the veggie egg rolls, tofu pad Thai, and tofu pad see ew. Everything was amazing and the perfect amount of spicy for us at medium! You have to try this out if you're in the area! We did takeout, but the inside seems like a good place to grab a bite to eat with friends! read more

What a delightful little spot right in my own backyard! My friend and I had lunch here today because we were craving something from the Asian palate. This was our first time at the Bamboo Bistro. We chose it because so many of my neighbors had told me this unassuming little spot was wonderful. We decided to give it a try and were NOT disappointed. It's clean and the service was wonderful. It's a quiet little spot sitting back off the road near Walgreens on the main road leading to downtown Grafton. Now, that's not saying too much because if you blink, you miss downtown Grafton! I'd lived here almost a year and didn't know where downtown was located. Needless to say, stop blinking and get over to this wonderful eatery! It's Thai food done well. Nothing too fancy but good food. The portions are right and it's prepared well. The food was fresh and tasty and served correctly. The hot food was hot the cold food was cold. The server was friendly. The place was clean. I had absolutely nothing to say but, "thank you and can I take the rest of this wonderful meal home with me?" I've been eating at home because of a special diet that requires me to eat 80% of each meal in veggies. The meal here easily met that requirement and the veggies tasted fresh. They were well prepared and very enjoyable. That's rare! Usually, when you ask for lots of veggies they are overcooked or weirdly prepared. This meal was seasoned well and a nice change alternative to cooking at home or being stuck with junk food like burgers and fries. We ate the spring rolls so fast that we forgot take pictures. They were divine and HUGE! We enjoyed the crab rangoon because they were NOT as huge as our heads and over-fried. They were nice little bites. Just enough to share between the two of us before our main meal. We both ordered noodles with proteins and veggies. I got chicken and my friend got beef. Neither of us could finish so we had take homes! We will definitely go back. Next time, we'll probably stick to the spring rolls. We now know we're both light weights at this restaurant! Perhaps, a better idea, is to take a whole bunch of friends next time to help us eat the wonderful food they serve! I love that this restaurant is right here in Grafton. I implore the locals to go out and support this business. Order traditional Thai dishes. I think you'll like this place. read more

Hidden gem! This is great Thai food ( and I've been to Bangkok) Lovely service. Impressed!! Give iit a try!!

I love ordering food from here. It's been cold and rainy, so I ordered pho to go and wow it hit the spot. The broth was full of flavor, vegetables were fresh. I can't wait to come back here again. I also ordered the mango with sticky rice dessert, so good. The mango was juicy, and this dessert was everything I hoped it would be. Staff was friendly and I like the restaurant itself. Next time I'll eat inside, can't wait to go back! read more

First time stopping in here and it was overall, at great experience. The only downside was there wasn't enough staff so while the restaurant wasn't full, there was a 45 minute wait. We chose to go do some shopping and come back later. When we returned, we were able to be seated right away. We ordered spring rolls for an appetizer and they were amazing. I had the chicken Pad Thai. I asked for it to be mild and there was no spice/heat. I was hoping for a little something. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. My boyfriend had the Red Curry and loved it. The service was good and we had a chance to talk a little with one of the owners. We will definitely be back to try more! read more

Being a long time Grafton citizen I am always in the market for new restaurants and as a lover of ethnic cuisine, this was high on my list when it popped up. Being the former Pizza Hut they've done a good job of renovating the inside. It's not too hard to identify its roots, but the ambiance is such that it doesn't FEEL like you're in an old pizza hut. Parking is easy, access is easy, all in all it's a very accessible location. The menu has gone through many iterations, and has moved from a non-targeted Asian food idea to anymore specific Thai/Vietnamese type feel. I liked the initial menu, but it has absolutely leveled up now. Pictured is the Thai red curry. It's a favorite of mine wherever I go and this was a very solid dish. The other diners had Thai Basil delight and the Bamboo Bistro stir fry. Everyone tried everyone else's but due to loving our selections we decided to limit the amount allowed for each person to sample! This brings me to portion sizes. Very generous, enough for a retread the next day provided you can resist not eating them later that night! Our service was really excellent as well. It was not busy but our server was very responsive, quick to get drinks, food and was not pushy at all. To put a proverbial cherry on top the service sundae the manager asked about our dinner, brought to go containers and even volunteered drink cups for the rest of our drinks. All in all this is a highly underestimated establishment and if you're in the area make sure to check it out! read more

Ate there for the first time tonight and it was great. We both had the Tom Kha soup which was very good. We also shared the the Basil Tofu and Chicken Satay apps which were equally good. I was so excited to hear that there was a Thai/Lao restaurant in Ozaukee county and Bamboo Bistro did not disappoint. The food is delicious and super authentic, similar to what my Laotian mom cooked for the family while growing up. I've ordered pad Thai to go on our first visit and it was exactly what I've been looking for! Our 2nd visit we dined in. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls, my sons ordered the beef Pad Udon and kids beef pho. I ordered the Special Pho and chicken red curry to go, all dishes were delicious and service was friendly and fast. We will be back to try more! read more

Bamboo Bistro - Red curry with beef, comes with a side of rice - Laotian Near Me - Grafton, Wisconsin

This place got new owners at the beginning of 2023. We tried it once in 2022, we liked it, and decided to come back after the new owners had some time to get things in order. OVerall....we were disappointed! We got plenty of different things to share - crab rangoons, tom yum soup, tom kha soup, satay spring rolls, pad see ew, and red curry. Almost every dish was a bit lacking in flavor. The crab rangoons were fine, but the dipping sauce was literally water? The soup was just ok, seemed watered down. The spring rolls barely had any chicken in them, and the peanut sauce was watery. The pad see ew noodles were a bit overcooked. The flavor was just ok, but again the sauce was very watery. Hubs said the curry was also watery and lacking in that punch that thai food normally has. Can you see a theme? Everything was so watery, it was really weird! We probably won't be back here again, which is super disappointing since it could have been a frequent place for us had the food been better. read more

Delicious food and service. My friend and I tried different things and we were not disappointed.

Always a delicious meal here, we are working our way through the menu and were most recently introduced to Sake by the owner! It was refreshing and unexpectedly very good. This time we each tried a different soup, both had great flavor. Looking forward to our next visit! read more

Food - Thai Basil Salmon Temperature - came out warm, enjoyable temp. Taste - Very good salmon filet interspersed with stir fried veggies in a Thai Basil sauce. Flavors combine well. Texture - Everything was cooked well, not under or overdone. Presentation - very beautiful, the carrots almost look like flowers on the salmon! Service - Timely, friendly professional server named Mindy. Able to take debit & credit card. Ambiance - Clean, sleek looking establishment with clean bathrooms and also decorations that are reminiscent of Thailand. Good music playing in background. read more

The soups are amazing. The entrées are delicious. And the sticky rice with mango dessert to die for. I love this restaurant.

Plenty of vegetarian and vegans options and the food is delicious. Definitely a sweet spot in the Grafton area.

This place was delicious. Stopped by tonight as I saw it was new and I'm visiting family for a couple weeks. Ordered the Beef Pho and my mom had the chicken both were incredible. The waitress was very sweet and very friendly. They do not carry wine or beer/liquor yet so we weren't able to have a glass of wine, but that won't stop me from coming back. Great spot! read more

Bamboo Bistro - Beef Pho (Noodle Soup) extra spicy - Laotian Near Me - Grafton, Wisconsin

Ordered pad Thai with chicken, special fried rice, and lemongrass curry chicken for take out. We did not receive the rice for the curry chicken, and were charged about $3.50 over the prices stated on their website (after tax). Serving sizes were also on the smaller side of comparable restaurants. We went with mild heat, but there was none. If you feel the need to order here, and want anything resembling that nice Thai heat, go with at least medium (level 2) heat. If you're close to Milwaukee go to Lucky Ginger in the third ward, and if you're closer to Sheboygan check out Thai Cafe. Both are much better tasting options and you'll get your money's worth of food and flavor! Would not return. read more

Tried this restaurant because it had decent reviews. We ordered the papaya salad as an appetizer. The sauce was brown. It tasted like it was hoisin sauce that you typically put in PHO soup. It was not pleasant and couldn't take another bite. The presentation was pretty but that was all. The fortune cookies were stale and gross. Last, this is not authentic Vietnamese food! Here is the true Vietnamese recipe below. Vietnamese girl.. read more

Great meal! Had some excellent curry Service was affordable and fantastic . Would definitely go back again.

Quiet restaurant with good food and friendly staff. I definitely recommend this place.

I stopped here for a late lunch after hearing they had good food. Grafton certainly does not have a very large selection of ethnic restaurants and I was happy to hear of this new restaurant. We were the only customers in the restaurant almost the entirety of the visit. It was certainly a relaxing atmosphere, with soft music playing and calming decor. I ordered the Pad Thai - a rice noodle dish with egg, bean sprouts, green onions, and crushed peanuts in a tamarind sauce. It was made-to-order and fresh! The sauce was amazing, it had great flavor and was not spicy. Chili pepper was available at the table to add to food to make it spicier than prepared. The server was polite and attentive. He ensured my water glass was never empty (I was somewhat dehydrated from working outside that day and was drinking A LOT of water). Menu prices are reasonable, with most dishes ranging between $10-15. I definitely recommend Bamboo Bistro and plan on coming back :) read more

**Update - Under new ownership** i was really bummed when I found out the other owners sold as I had previously given this restaurant a 5, but if I could give the new place 6 stars I would. **Chef's kiss** it's phenomenal! I can't believe Asian food this great is in my home town! I tried the beef mazeman, chicken pad thai and egg rolls and all were flavorful and just plain old enjoyable to eat. Just the way food should be! I did have them add some heat to the entrees so if you traditionally expect some heat make sure you request it.
