Although this restaurant wasn't exactly my thing, it was good. My wife and daughter enjoyed it.

My kiddo wanted to try ramen, and we weren't disappointed. Food was great and our server was friendly and very knowledgeable.

At our table we had the Tonkotsu, Butter Corn, and Tochi ramens; they were all excellent.

They had a bourbon and rhubarb syrup cocktail (The Weather Made Me Do It) that was one of the best I've ever had and I typically don't like bourbon. The burger and brumbola pasta was absolutely delicious. Also great fries. For dessert I couldn't resist the churro sundae and it is one of the best desserts I have every had. The churros were soft and pillowy and almost melted in your mouth. The pictures can't do it justice. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area or even if you're not. The drive from Milwaukee was 100% worth it.

Besides wine, they do have a full bar and beers on tap I stopped in at Wednesday night and lucky for me they had a special ($5 off cheeseburger and steak sandwich). Always a man of value, I opted for the cheeseburger. Imagine an upscale version of a Big Mac minus the bun plus bacon. It was absolutely delicious and substantial. Complete with excellent fries, it is definitely worth the regular price of $19 and a steal at $14. My bartender was friendly and very attentive. A step up from pub food and a definite addition to my short list of repeat places to go to in WB.

We ended up staying for hours because the vibe was that good. The owner and staff were an absolute joy: warm, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. Bonus points for the 2-for-1 drink specials because yes, we absolutely got lit here. As a vegetarian, I felt fully seen because they went out their way to make me veggie tacos that were so good I'm still thinking about them. Drooling. They also offer pizzas and other food options, so everyone wins. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming energy, and a space you actually want to linger in. This spot is a must and we will 100% be back. Definitely a must try when you are in Mazalan!!!

It seems like they will for at least the time being try to wear both hats. They have a nice selection of coffees to choose from. They also have a nice selection of specialty alcohol drinks. The staff was quite proud of using a computerized pour system to mix every drink the same way each and every time. My votes still out on the computer made drink. We all have our favorite bartender for mixing a drink a certain way, not sure how I feel about developing loyalty to a machine. The owners did an incredible amount of remodeling to make the Garden Lounge what it is including a poured concrete bar top. A really nice upscale atmosphere for downtown West Bend. A definite worthwhile date night or after dinner destination. There are no windows to the outside, making it the perfect spot to transition from morning coffee into day drinking and being blissfully unaware it's the middle of the day They offer homemade frozen pizzas and a handful of appetizers to boot. We tried the wonton wrapped cheese sticks and rangoons. Both went quite nicely with a few cocktails. Welcome to West Bend Garden Lounge & good luck with your future.

Both my older son and I thought this sounded amazing so we stopped in on a Friday night to try it. We both got fries for our side. The burger was great as expected. Breading and deep frying the lasagna helped prevent it from being a mess and they added enough marinara to give it flavor without overpowering anything. The fries were lightly salted, but were otherwise just boring, plain potato. Apparently 6pm on a Friday is a horrible time to visit Brazen Head Pub if you want to be seated in a reasonable timeframe. My son and I stood there for at least 20 minutes watching a table that was done eating and the gentleman and his credit card in hand, ready to pay if someone would ever stop and give him his bill. While this was going on, another couple at the bar finished their food and sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for their check. It's almost as if the employees had no desire to turnover tables even with a line at the door including and behind us. There were three people bartending/waiting tables so they had plenty of coverage given the smaller size of the place. At one point, closer to the end of our meal, one of the bartenders looked at my son and I and asked "are you guys good?" as he was literally walking away from us and I was holding up an empty soda glass to show him I'd like a refill. Oddly, he gave me a thumbs up and kept going. I don't even know what to make of that other than poor service. The music that was playing was excessively loud. If it was a live band, I'd get it, that's part of the show and I wouldn't complain. For random music on speakers to drown out all conversations unless you're yelling, that's dumb.

And let me just say, if you like a good burger this (may be) the place for you. It's located on Main Street in West Bend. This area has gone through a real renaissance. The fixed up the street and sidewalks, have angled parking, and the lighting a nice. It's a real treat to be able to walk in this area of small shops and businesses. No stripmalls or big box stores. Very nice city planning! Came with a couple of friends, around 11:30. The Brazen Head Pub is one of many bars and restaurants in this area. This pub is pretty typical layout. It's long and narrow, a little dark (lighting and wood), has a long bar, and then a few high top tables. There is one larger table towards the rear that holds 6 people. Since there were 3 of us, we grabbed a high-top and stole a chair from the next table. (we had 4 people, not sure what we would have done). There was only one person (John) running all the table and managing the bar, and a couple of people in the small kitchen. John (our server) got to us after a short wait. Got our drinks and order placed right away. We ordered some Cheese Nuggets (white cheddar curds) and 3 different burgers. You can either "build your own" or order the standard "Brazen Head Beer Cheese Burger". The curds came out almost instantly. They were hot, with a side of ranch. They were good (not great, a little too much breading for my tastes). We waited a bit for the biggers, but they ended up being worth the wait. All were made perfectly to order, hot, lots of flavor, and very good portions. The Brazen Head Burger was tall, but manageable. The different elements were distinct and complementary. The cheese sauce had a big of a tang. The fries were okay, but could have been hotter. While we were there, the place filled up. Lots of other small groups, some at the long bar. With the additional people it got to be pretty noisy, to the point that it was hard to have a conversation. It didn't help that there was a speaker, right over the tables, with loud music. With only one person running all the tables, after our food came out, it was difficult to get our servers attention. Extra napkins and getting our check was a challenge. The experience was mixed. Definitely a place to get an amazing burger, cooked perfectly to order. However, the noise and the service (due to their popularity) was a bit lacking. I wish them luck as they adjust to their new popularity.
