N1 Pork Chop W. Orange Sauce 香橙骨

Worst Asian food in Boston. Fried rice with "roasted pork" was actually deli ham. "Orange chicken" was soggy fried chicken soaking in a pool of pineapple sauce. Dumplings were oily and soggy. Noodles were super thin and stale. Panda Express is much better for about a quarter of the price.

Recently returned for indoor dining. A pretty solid lunch spot in Chinatown! While they don't officially have a lunch special menu, their lunch price before 3 pm is 50 cents cheaper. I'd say compare it with other restaurants, the menu price didn't increase that much since Covid started. Food is served as it is made, just like other Chinese restaurants. When it's not crowded, the indoor air ventilation was good around 900 ppm for CO2. They have a TV that runs in Cantonese. Service is always friendly. Highly recommend it!

    Fresh steamed fish

They stepped it up recently for Chinese New Year dinner. Started with a soup that was part of a fresh steamed fish / soup combination. The soup was made from the fish bones, and then the fish was later served in a traditional steamed ginger scallion preparation. The fish was really fresh, and took on gentle flavors which didn't overpower the original fish flavor. Also on the menu was a surf clam / bean thread noodle dish. These were really good; the surf clam wasn't too tough; the garlic could be a bit more fresh though. But overall it felt like a nice dish. The pea pod leaf was fresh, and this time not too greasy. The rice hotpot with chicken on top was really neat; there were bits of rice on the bottom of the pot, and the flavors melded well. Finally the pipa tofu had a nice texture; the pieces themselves were much smaller than I remembered, but the texture and the taste were nice as ever. Kudos for high standards, despite a fairly full house for new year!!!

Salt and pepper chicken wings - a must-order!

Thank you, Asian Garden, for getting me through so many calls with your insane portions, easy online ordering system, shocking low prices, and delicious food. This will always be one of my go-tos in Chinatown, and I will sorely miss your food when I leave. If you have to get one thing, absolutely get the spicy chicken wings. For $9, you get a huge pile of perfectly seasoned wings that are somehow crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. People INHALE these for good reason. When you get these as a take-out order, they even poke holes in the styrofoam container to make sure your fried food doesn't get soggy. They are true pros. I also enjoy their Peking-style pork chops when I'm in the mood for something very sweet and bad for me. The combination rice plates are a good deal for less than $8. The only thing I didn't love is their General Gau's, which needs to be crispier. When things start to feel safer with COVID, I can't wait to come back and try a wider variety of dishes.

    B13 Crab Rangoon (12 Pieces)

Order crab Rangoon to go. Pleasant service is the reason for two stars, otherwise my food was not edible. Perhaps the red flag should've been when I saw the cook bring the crab Rangoon from the freezer. 3 minutes later, my food was boxed and ready to go. I didn't think much of it until I bit into the first one and it was warm on the outside freezing cold in the middle. There was no evidence that is was a crab Rangoon and instead seemed like cream cheese in a pastry. Very disappointed as I am a lover of crab Rangoon

B12 Picy Chicken Wings W9 Sliced Chicken In Satay Sauce - Hot & Spicy

Ate chicken satay sauce and spicy chicken wings! Loved them both! They were very yummy and delicious! Chicken satay sauce will give you warm and smoky flavor, something you want to eat on a cold windy night! Spicy chicken wings! What to say! They had great flavors and unexpectedly very yummy and crispy covering! Don't forget to have the chilly oil and hot cha at the table The owners were very welcoming and greeted with

Our visit and the food was sub par. Won't be returning. Pu pu platter - Not good or bad, just average. Crab Rangoon - All cold in the middle! We were sad but still ate them. Beef with pepper - Good but too peppery. Half fried chicken - This had potential but there is no sauce so it's just fried chicken. Beef with broccoli - Also average. Beef tendon soup - Below average Sesame pork (tasted like sesame chicken) - We liked this. Only item I would eat again. Overall, all the food was blah. I eat in Chinatown all the time so I was surprised that the food wasn't better. I'd recommend going elsewhere!

    Coconut chicken hot pot

Even though this place looks kind of shady and old, the food is incredible. It's very authentic Cantonese food and there are so many things to choose. My friend and I got coconut hot pot. It was incredible! The chicken and beef were so tender and the soup base was delicious. Come here early! It can get quite busy.

Great spot for Chinese food in Chinatown, it's easily overlooked as it's on the edge of the district but I would definitely recommend it and come back again for dinner. We got seated in the downstairs area which was calm quiet and spacious. The service was very nice and friendly. They gave us plenty of time to figure out what we wanted and we really did take our time since there are so many options. The szechuan spicy chicken was soft, tender, spicy, and delicious - I wonder what they marinate it in (probably beer?) to make the texture come out so good. I loved the beef and Chinese broccoli, as the broccoli was crispy and flavorful which is hard to make correctly. The beef here (as well as in the chow foon) tasted high-quality, big pieces, very juicy. The chow foon was awesome too - huge portion of hot noodles with a lot of flavor. 3 dishes between two people was a lot of food - dinner for 2, snack for 1, and lunch for 1. The value for the money is great too.

Cheap and convenient! I came here thanks to a local nift deal I had with a friend and was seated immediately. There weren't too many people inside. Food: We got the beef chow fun and also the Mac and cheese with milk tea and also the tofu. I thought that the food was quite standard Chinese food and nothing too special. Wouldn't recommend the Mac and cheese special though. Service: The waiters were extremely kind and helpful! I was surprised, maybe because we were one of the few customers there. Food also came super quickly! Ambiance: Very causal. It's a little bit dirty inside. Overall might not come again unless I had another nift deal!

Pan fried noodles with soy sauce
    Jimmy N.

Decided to get a simple meal for dinner tonight. Tried their pan fried style noodles with soy sauce for the first time . I must say, it was pretty good. The flavor is there. Definitely will get it again! Paired it with spicy salt and pepper chicken wings. Simple and satisfying !

Spicy salt and pepper fried chicken - do it
    Jingwen Z.

I've been here twice, once with friends and once with family. While I usually don't order many appetizer-type foods at Chinese restaurants and prefer to cut straight to the chase, I really enjoyed the salt and pepper fried chicken wings. I wanted to get this because the first time I was here, my friends and I got the salt and pepper squid (one of my staples), and it was okay at best, along with some of the more traditional mains we got. This time, I branched out a bit. These wings are fantastic - crispy on the outside, with the salt and pepper tastes balanced and a good spicy kick, and juicy meat on the inside. I'd highly recommend them. We also got scallion pancakes, which looked almost deep fried and were very crunchy. I don't like my scallion pancakes like that, so it wasn't my scene, but to each their own.

Shanghai Classic Pork Pan-Fried Buns上海生煎饅頭: I was instantly hooked! It's hard to imagine finding such good pan-fried buns in the US. Almost every table ordered them, so they were all freshly made, piping hot. The bun was made with unleavened dough, making it chewy and refreshing, with a light, crispy bottom--not oily or hard. The meat filling was substantial and tender, with plenty of broth (see picture). It was sweeter than salty, incredibly umami. The chili oil was also very fragrant, and dipping it in Zhenjiang vinegar enhanced the flavor and cut through the greasiness. Shredded Pork & Preserved Vegetable Noodle Soup雪菜肉絲麵: The noodles were thin and round, with a soft, mushy texture. While the noodles were clearly machine-made, this isn't a problem in the Yangtze River Delta region; the issue was likely overcooking. The shredded pork were well-stirred, with tender meat, but the noodles lacked flavor. They had to be eaten with the pickled mustard greens雪菜 to be slightly salty, and the umami flavor was severely diluted. The tableware is all disposable, and tipping is not mandatory. It's quite affordable.

Both Cantonese and Mandarin were seamlessly spoken. Shrimp Rice Roll / Egg: It looked very appealing. However, the soy sauce was ridiculously sweet, much sweeter than in China, completely exceeding the standard "umami and sweet" of the authentic Cantonese cheung fun腸粉 (rice roll) soy sauce. The cheung fun skin was somehow overcooked, so some parts without egg at the bottom were soggy from soaking in the soy sauce, making the whole roll quite greasy. I have to admire my culinary acumen: I managed to preserve most of the skin's basic texture with the extra egg. Fortunately, the shrimp were fresh enough, six in a serving, with a crispy texture. Oh well, since I'm in America, it's tolerable. I must say, I would never have come here specifically for this, never in my life. Spending $10+ on a plate of cheung fun after traveling so far, will make me feel more like a sucker than ever before!
