Chicken and mushrooms, orange chicken and fried rice combo with Coke Zero.
Alec A.

An airport location for Asian Chao Oriental Eatery. I was in the mood for Chinese food and was stopping over at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport, Terminal B. Decided to try Asian Chao out. I have had their food before at other airports but this was the first time in Atlanta. Never again. The service was very good and friendly. However, the food quality and preparation is not very good. The chicken and mushrooms was a bit tough and dry and over cooked. The Orange chicken was pasty and lacked chicken! The fried rice must of have been sitting out for a long time because it was dry and firm. So unpleasant and I spent over $21. I gave a tip because the server was very friendly and helpful. Sorry, this is not for me.

Lo mein

All the way at the end of terminal A. I should've known when there wasn't a single person in line. Food definitely looked like it had been sitting there a while. I went with just a lo mein bc it was the most decent looking. Not great but I was starving so it was whatever. Felt bad for the only lady working, not a lot of traffic on this end.

For airport food this was a great value compared to the other places in the airport. Not the best food but quick and convenient and was exactly what I was looking for in my airport meal. Nice employees here as well.

It had the shortest line in the food court and despite the poor reviews, against my better judgment, I decided to go there. Ended up being better than I expected. The veggies and sweet and sour chicken were actually good.

Broccoli Beef & Orange Chicken

I stopped at Asian Chao while at the ATL airport as I wanted something quick that wasn't outrageously priced. This restaurant had a good variety of options and provided a great value with the amount of food you got. They were out of a few options, so I ended up getting the Orange Chicken and Broccoli Beef with white rice. Everything was good and as I expected it!

General Tso Chicken

Ok so BOOM! I was getting off a flight from Norfolk VA and starving like Marvin giiiirl. Asian Chao was the first restaurant I made eye contact with and it was empty so I ran over. Boy oh boy, best decision I could've made! The server was super sweet, soft spoken and the food was the bomb diggity. I ordered the General Tso Chicken with fried rice - delicious!!! Plus moderately priced considering it was airport food. Yum, check them out in Terminal B of the Atlanta GA airport

Spicy Tofu & Mixed Vegtables

For an airport "walk the line" Asian takeout spot, this place is pretty good! The line moved quickly and they work well with you on suggestions. I had the Spicy Tofu and Mixed Vegetables Combo plate with steamed white rice. I dumped about two servings of Chili Oil all over it...it was pretty spicy! I'm not the biggest Tofu guy, but this was good! Asian Chao is a good bet f you're looking for a good, filling, quick bite at ATL!

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

Boy oh boy! The…read morefirst and definitely not last. This food was so great. Every time I visit ATL this will be added to my come backs. The basil chicken was so good. But the green beans with pork were my favorite. The pork medallions were so tender. The salt and pepper shrimp was lacking of flavor. The corn chicken soup was great, so was the hot and sour. But their wonton was a hit and I crave more. The restaurant is nicely preserved in time I feel. There are so many celebrities with photos who have come and gone from this world. Staffing was a little slow, but that's ok because there's no rush. They were all nice and friendly.

On the wall by the main entrance they have several photos of many famous people who have eaten there previously. I met up with a friend of mine there for a good chat and chew. Parking: For anyone coming here for any occasion make sure you validate your parking with the restaurant. The ONLY parking lot they validate is the one right beside the restaurant! Drinks: I got the strawberry lemon drop drink. It was good and did come with the vodka flavor with natural strawberry syrup. It was good. The vegetable dumpling was good! On to the main entree was the House Lo Mein. It was just average and not the greatest I've tried. It took a minute before our server came back. To me it needed more flavor, seasoning and it didn't have any spice what's so ever! I wouldn't get it again. The thing I found annoying/unprofessional was the staff taking forever to give me and my friend out checks. We came into the establishment an hour before they closed. At that time a lot of people were still in the place. However, by the time we received our checks we were the last people in their establishment. The other individuals were the workers cleaning up. We tried to get a server to come to our table sooner but wasn't successful. This is my sole opinion but I wasn't over impressed over food.

Located on Cheshire Bridge Rd, the parking is just in front of the building, which is unassuming and easy to miss. Be prepared to get creative and use techniques that you haven't used since you passed the driving exam. Once you get your car situated, enter, be greeted by a friendly face, and have a seat. Decor is simple and reminiscent of the 90s, but very clean with sparkling bathrooms. Little Bangkok provides generous portions and the food is magnificent. The dumplings were packed with chicken and fresh veggies. The portion filled me up and I happily sipped a glass of red wine with my dinner. The fried ice cream was fantastic. I've been wanting to try it but it's hard to find at local restaurants. The chef visited us during our meal, and we sung her praises. The parking lot hassle was well worth it for delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere; I'll be back!

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
