Very disappointing. Went at 12:45, lununchtime. Very limited variety of foods offered in comparison to other Asian buffets in the area. The supposed hot foods were not hot - just barely warm. Food: 5/5 If you come during a busier time, it's the best you can get. Everything gets rotated out and stays fresh. It's what you would expect for your average AYCE buffet. They keep the food stirred and hydrated so nothing gets dried out. The sushi is always my favorite part. Love the rangoons, the lo mein noodles and Mei fun noodles are my favorite. The wonton soup is good. I like the hot and sour but it weirdly gives me a spaghettiO's sauce's aftertaste. My husband likes the egg drop soup. Service: 5/5 Not very much involved, they get your drinks and clear your plates. They're around if needed but don't come by too often cause there's no need. They're awesome. Our main server was Sherri and she's great. Ambiance: 4/5 Standard Asian restaurant. Chairs are a bit worn and the carpets grip the chair legs so much you have to fully lift the chair to move it. When the owner tries to overcharge you than what was on your check and try to shortchange you by $30. Food was decent, standard Chinese food offerings with sushi (skipped sushi as it looked like the items been sitting around for few hours and it wasn't been replenished). Skip the clams - found one full of dirt. I liked the lo mein and the hot and sour soup. Others were ok. One star for owner trying to scam me. The dinner was $14.59, plus tax ($0.88) came out to $15.47. If you pay by card, they charge you 3.5% processing fee (which is double what typical banks charges). The owner ran me up for $16.47 - $1 more than what was on my check. I gave $50 bill and as she proceeded to give me my change, I asked my it's $16.47 when the check says $15.47, without a word or apology, she took another dollar from the drawer. She gave me back $4.53 and said thank you. Mind you, I gave her $50... but she was moving so fast that I almost fell for her trap. Then I looked at her and she looked at me and said, oh wait, I owe you more money. Yeah lady - $30 more!! If you are paying by cash - 1) make sure your total on the register matches with your check and 2) count your change before you leave. The food is good but the horrible attitude of our server was enough to make us pack our bags and run. She brought out our bill 5 minutes after we started eating stood there staring. Left and the continued to pace back and fourth like we were taking too long to eat! God, I got so annoyed that I paid before we were done and left. This buffet includes a combination of American and Asian cuisine. All of it delicious. My favorite is the peanut butter chicken because it tastes indulgent like a peanut butter cookie, but it's good-for-me chicken, so I can feel righteous while eating it. Hot foods are pretty good and it has the standard fair of the average Chinese buffet. The egg rolls and the rice noodles are great. The service of filling drinks and cleaning plates from the table is great too. However, the sushi is not good, it's lacking in a big way unless you like warm California rolls. AND The ice cream is pretty disgusting. Just skip it. They have scoop ice cream and have a nasty bucket of water for the scoops that is never clean nor the scoops. People let their children climb all over the case and the ice cream has the nasty bucket water all over the inside of the ice cream. I quit going to this place more than 2 years ago and you should too!! Our family would often eat here at Christmas because it was one of the few places still open on a holiday. One year they raised the price $2 above the normal price which I thought was ridiculous but being it was Christmas I understood. The next year they decided to charge more than double!! That's right it was $25 per person, talk about price gouging!! I sat there and ate nothing while my family graciously paid the OVERRATED price. I come here a lot and i always get the same server until one day me and my bf came during dinner we got a new server on our second plate she came up with the check and said pay now and she stood there watching i gave her the money and she said no tip under her breath. I always tip my server because i also work as a waitress. On a day trip to pick up my son's saxophone from Marshall Music, we went to this side of town to eat at BD's Mongolian BBQ. To our surprised it was replaced by a Panera Bread. We decided to eat here instead since it was close and we really didn't want the run of the mill fast food. We came in and was seated immediately, and excited to eat Chinese buffet again since we haven't been to one since Covid came into effect. My wife, son, and I went up and everything looked to be good. I got what I usually eat, which is orange chicken, vegetable Lo-mein and crab rangoons among other things. Orange chicken was on point, delicious and was fresh. Vegetable Lo-mien had no flavor and had to add soy sauce to it at the table. The crab rangoons were light and the flavor was just off which was unfortunate because that is one of the main things I enjoy with Chinese food. I had no refills on my drink, and that was pretty disappointing that it wasn't even asked when they came to clear our plates. None the less it was just an ok place to eat, nothing too fancy and don't expect what your used to. Service was lacking and it wasn't too busy so I'm guessing there efforts went to keeping it clean, because it did look like it was well kept. I probably won't return because I live over two hours away, but if I'm ever in the area again I will probably pick something else because it isn't for my taste. read more

I just want to say that off the bat this place was noticeably the cleanest Chinese buffet I've been to in this city. It's a smaller venue but that doesn't mean anything because the food quality so far has been the best out of the different places I've tried. We went here around 1pm for lunch. Everything was fresh and delicious. They have great customer service and the waitstaff was very attentive. This place was highly recommended by a friend of mine and I took feel like you should check this place out. I'm the only one in the place whose hot tea was served with a styrofoam cup! the food quality has suffered immensely & since the server snatched a plate from the middle of the table before we were finished, i'm just so pissed that we were treated SO rudely!!! not only that, but the owner & server were 20 ft apart yelling at each other (in whatever language they speak) in the middle of the dining room for 10 minutes! wth?? not only that but the place is actually filthy & disgusting, crap is scattered all around and... i wish them luck... The food was well stocked and fresh but choices were somewhat predictable including sushi, made to order habachi items, dim sum, salads, ribs, noodles, fish, chicken , soups etc... We go to get our second plate and about halfway through a woman walks up with our check, we are it our card out , she runs it, brings it back and makes sure to point out the tip is not included and takes my half full plate of food. Wife fills out the slip with a tip of course, server looks at it at our table and sighs "oh thank you so much". Felt super unwelcome after being rushed at the table. It was a little after lunchtime and I get some people can be in a rush but don't take someone's plate without asking. I won't be returning or recommending this place unfortunately. We made it a tradition to go to an Asian restaurant to give Thanksgiving food taste a break. We've been doing this for a while. This time we decided to try this restaurant, it's after all used to be one of our favorite restaurants to go to if we are very hungry... I've never been so disappointed in an Asian restaurant more before today. They barely had any Asian dishes. They had more American traditional thanksgiving dishes than Asian. Wish I could leave a zero star review. Been going to this place for over a decade and a never seeing treatment is bad as I have tonight. The very rude waitress did not even acknowledge my transgender fiance. It was like she didn't even exist. Didn't take her drink order. Didn't look at her. When the bill came, although her dead name was on the card she handed me the receipt to sign instead of her. Then stood around pretty much demanding a tip. There was no way, although I normally do tip people that I was going to tip somebody that completely acted like my fiance didn't exist simply cause she was trans. My family and I will never eat at this establishment again. The straight up transphobia that happened tonight has soured our appetite permanently for this place. How do you measure the value/success a Chinese buffet? The number of Asian people? Aside from the workers, my brother and I were the only ones during the busy lunch rush. The number of fried selections? It seemed every third item was fried. For the East Lansing/Lansing/Okemos area, I can't imagine there's any place better for a buffet. The items were hot and fresh and the variety alone was impressive, which I guess is what Chinese buffets are. My favorite was the bourbon chicken (among an array of fried chicken, pepper chicken, orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, and more. chicken.) because I haven't seen it anywhere else. And the crab rangoons are seriously addictive. Extremely creamy and perfectly fried. There's also some basic sushi rolls, your American staples of mac and cheese (which my brother said was the best), fries, etc. Service was pretty great. The man who seated us took our drink orders (rather than having to wait until someone else did that), and our plates were cleared off as SOON as we got up for more. I mean, I'm not going back any time soon (my brother really wanted to go there based on his boss' recommendation) because of all the fried/high sodium selections. But I'm glad I gave it a try. Lunch buffet for two at $15 (including a June special of $1 off) is a pretty good value. read more

Three and a half stars. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and they price kids depending on their ages. So, lunch and a pot of tea for me and my two school-age kids came out to less than $20 with tip. Score! The good: (1) some dishes are good, like one of the spicy chicken dishes with jalapeno slices; (2) they have a variety of desserts, like ice cream that you scoop yourself, jello, custard, and swirl cake; (3) they have enough variety that both of my kids can find something to eat; (4) our dirty dishes were taken away promptly. The bad: consistency. Some dishes are good, some are okay, and some are not worth it. I guess you just have to try it to figure out which ones you like. Dinner costs about 50% more than lunch because they offer some seafood dishes, like salmon and shrimp. They also had garlic bread slices (looked like the ones you get from the frozen food section of the grocery store), and my son ate like four or five of them. Their fried chicken wings could use some more flavor, but they're pretty good. Overall, the price is right, it's clean, and we've never had a problem with the wait staff. read more

While it is not really an authentic cultural experience or anything, the food is good, the service is consistent and there is plenty of seating for small and large groups.
