Reservations: You don't need a reservation! Ambiance: Pretty spacious and they can accommodate big groups as well. Service: Very friendly! Food $$: We got the dry pot and it is pretty big that you should share with 2 people. I would first try Spicy then go with Extra Spicy. It does have a mala kick to it. Audience: Solo Trip [ ] Family Friendly [X] Friends [X] Date Spot [X] Recommendations/tips: Pretty authentic! I recommend.

My favorite local Chinese place! They have the best dry pot! They have a lot of seating and the service is great! Very cozy spot! Must try place if you are in the EL area!

Limit is one of my favorite chinese restaurants in east lansing! The service is quick and food is delicious. I love getting the make your own dry pot, it is so delicious and you can pick all the ingredients you want! I have also gotten their mapo tofu before and it was good as well! Highly recommend!

I ordered the Chongqing Chili Chicken & Salt and Pepper Pork Chop w/side of white rice.

Honest review this is hands down one of the best chili chicken and salt and pepper pork chops I've had. (Coming from Los Angeles) highly recommend this place if you're in East Lansing

I LOVE this place!! As a Chinese American and was always craving Chinese and Taiwanese food, this hit the spot every single time. When I was missing home, I would come here with friends to enjoy a perfect plate of braised pork on rice with bok choy and eggs with a side of Taiwanese Fried Chicken (both the original flavor and the spicy are terrific!). The mapo tofu has also constantly hit the spot. The one that each dish is perfectly seasoned along with the portions being huge, I always come away satisfied and craving fulfilled. This is a small business and they have done a great job of renovations from several years ago. If you're looking for a spot that you can have gatherings with, this would be the place! And if you karaokeing, this is a fun spot to do it at in their backrooms!

I asked my husband to surprise me, and he did! He picked this place all by himself. I couldn't help but wonder why we were the only customers though. The place was empty! The service was super quick and the portions were big. The food was served hot and steamy. The decor and atmosphere made the place very appealing.

i love the food here, it comes out hot and fresh! still dreaming about their salt and pepper fish, you can't go wrong! service is nice and the restaurant is pretty quiet. their karaoke is fun, although it can be confusing to search up the songs/artists you want since the tv system is mostly in chinese.

    Karaoke room

The food was really really good. We actually chose this place for karaoke, but the song selection is just barely acceptable for English speaking audiences. There's no way to play your own music and the search function is completely busted. (Try typing in an artist who you literally have open and it won't find it. Makes no sense) Edit: okay you just type the first letter of the artists name and then scroll the pages til you find it.

    Spicy boiled beef

I ordered online via DoorDash and got the "Spicy boiled beef". When I tell you, the serving size is very large, and this is the closest food in America that I've had that tasted like I had it in China. It tastes similar to food in Hunan and they are very generous with serving sizes. Will definitely be ordering this again if I'm craving Chinese

The carry out is ok. I wouldn't eat in the restaurant. The place is empty the two times I've gotten takeout.

But a friend had recommended it so we were willing to give it a try. Overall a great Chinese food experience. The menu says it's a Sichuan restaurant. And they had Sichuan dishes plus the "American" Chinese dishes you'd expect. I see they also do dim sum but we didn't try that. They have a ton of vegetarian options! The server told us that they have been open since about 2011 and they used to only have traditional Sichuan food. Their primary customer base was international students who wanted authentic Chinese food like they had at home. But after Covid there were few international students from China in town and their business was struggling, so they expanded the menu to appeal to American tastes. As a result, the menu is huge! And you can choose between authentic Chinese or American style. We tried 2 dishes and enjoyed them both. We will definitely return and try some others. It's not a fancy restaurant but there are comfortable seats for 2 and big round tables with turntables for parties of 10 who want to share dishes. The staff is a very nice and helpful family. And they could really use some more customers! Carry out or dine in.

I don't understand why it's so empty but I guess the price per portion could turn people off but it's authentic and delicious so I'd give it my stamp of approval.

Funny the restaurant was named "Hong Kong"…read morebecause the theme of the cuisine is definitely Szechuan/Sichuan, quite different from the Cantonese style cuisine of Hong Kong, while the actual dishes tasted like Szechuan cuisine with reduced hotness and a bit more Cantonese details. Spicy cold plate chicken: very tender chicken slices with not too hot sauces. Could use a bit more sesame. Fish slices with preserved vegetable soup broth: Soup broth was rich with savory and sour taste of vegetables. Fish slices were a bit too thick and slightly mushy; might want to switch to another type of fish with firmer texture. Nevertheless, this dish is a bargain as it contains both a protein and a broth base (also with some rice noodles). Szechuan-style eggplants: standard. Sauce was too thick for my taste. Stir-fried spicy string beans: standard, very generous portion of minced pork and garlic adds a lot of flavor
