Good, not great. It's a little pricy but the portion sizes are decent. I wish it wasn't so expensive to get multiple types of meat, so a combination plate would be a great addition. Staff are always friendly and I'll continue coming back when I'm in the area! read more

Worst food ive ever had they double fried the chicken and when i went to bite into it i couldn't chew because it was so hard and the chicken was very stringy. Never coming back here again!. read more

Panda House is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Lansing, with food always delivered hot and fresh. The delivery person is always very friendly. A must-try restaurant. Fast delivery every time. read more

Good food. The regular cashier really knows his stuff. All the staff are hard workers-take a few minutes and watch. This is a busy restaurant that does a lot of take away. read more

Great food good service! Delivery guy is the best guy ever such a great guy!! love this place

$66 dollars down the drain with this place beware they don't have prices listed. I'll never eat here again.. over fried rangoon that melted the styrofoam onto them, mushy egg rolls, and over cooked chewy/stringy chicken I feel like I've been tricked... I'm so upset read more

When I first moved up here I didn't know most places around but decided to check this place out and I tell ya never regretted. Great service! Great food! Great time! Great dudes! read more

Very friendly service, food was ready right on my arrival and everything was insanely delicious. Ordered chicken lo mein, general tso chicken and boneless pork spare ribs. All items were the best I've had from any local place. Definitely will be returning. read more

This is just an average Chinese restaurant to be honest. I've ordered from here a couple times to try different things and hopefully give them a chance but I wasn't really all that impressed. Everything tastes like it was frozen and then microwaved, something straight out of a Kitchen Nightmares episode. I mean, you get what you pay for here I guess. I don't recommend them unless you want some cheap Chinese food with zero authenticity behind it. read more

Ordered take out - Boneless almond chicken - Used to be the absolute best. Not anymore sadly - the chicken pieces are a teeny tiny piece of chicken swallowed up by ginormous balls of batter. Quantity is fine but not chicken breast as it should be. There were zero almonds in my Boneless Almond chicken - go figure. Ordered two egg rolls and paid for two egg rolls. Ask me if I got my egg rolls lol. White rice was good as usual. Unfortunately this is the second underwhelming experience I've had here in the last 6 months so really won't go back anytime soon. read more

This place is amazing! I go here a lot and the food is really good. The guys that work there are very nice and fast!

This is a family owned restaurant and the food is fresh and very tasty. Service is always fast and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant. read more

Definitely a fan of this Chinese/Cantonese restaurant in EL. Their food isn't too salty or greasy and still has lots of good flavor. My family ordered shrimp lo mein, shrimp dumplings, egg foo young, and vegetables. The egg foo young was hot, filled with lots of veggies, and had a flavorful gravy. The dumplings were more like shumai than gyosa, and the lo mein was exactly what I expected. We got our takeout in about 20 mins, which is what we were told over the phone to expect. Overall, if you're looking for a solid Chinese place for takeout, look no further! read more

Food is great and deserves at least 4 stars. But, it's so disappointing to see a guy sitting in the dining room without a mask each time I pick up take out! Employees behind the counter and the cooks all masked and behind plastic dividers at the cash registers. So why doesn't this guy on the laptop wear a mask to stop the spread of COVID19 sit in the dining room with customers walking in and out?!?! read more

More expensive than most Chinese takeout places but I do think that the quality is worth the price. Really sad they don't really have combos or have the dishes come with fried rice. I love to get the chicken with garlic sauce it's amazing! Also their hot and sour soup is my favorite too. read more

I've been coming here fairly frequent and the food is always good. Never any issues of "no flavor" or being the "'worst ever". I've had some variety and everything is fresh, hot and tastes pretty good. Fairly inexpensive also. read more

Food tastes like it was boiled in Case Hall water. Rice and chicken are bland. No fortune cookies :(

I've lived near panda for 12 years and my family loves it. The chicken has always been tough and seeming of lower quality. I live with Crohn's disease which makes eating certain foods difficult, and eating at panda always gives me one of the worst stomach aches. Portion sizes are good. The rice typically clumps together and has a general wetness to it. My advice, go to Charlie Kang's in downtown EL instead. read more

Honestly, the chicken had the texture of Styrofoam. The vegetables tasted undercooked, but the spices weren't bad. Fried rice was solid but I paid to get chicken and ended up not being able to eat more than one small piece of it. Don't suggest it. read more

After living in the area for nearly nine years, I finally tried Panda House and wasn't really blown away. I did eat my entire meal, but there wasn't really anything positive that set it apart from other options. The fried rice seemed like it was yellow rice with diced onions and didn't really taste 'fried' to me. Other Chinese options seem to have other vegetables, like peas and carrots, or scrambled egg in their fried rice. The other thing I noticed was that the eggs roll seemed to be filled with just cabbage and no other vegetables or meat. I did pick up the order and it was ready when they said it would be which is a plus. I would give this spot a 2.5 because I had an average experience, but I'm in the habit of rounding down for half numbers. read more

Excellent fast food. Reliable and friendly service. The general tsos chicken and lo mein are delicious. A great option for those looking to indulge in delicious fried food. read more

I'd say four stars for the food, two stars for the service so I'll give them the three right in the middle. But honestly if it wasn't for the food and the fact that they are so close to my apartment, I would probably not go back. Multiple times I've called to place an order for pick up and have been treated as an inconvenience to them. I could barely make it through ordering before the hung up, no total price, no estimate on how long before I could pick it up. And forget about asking what's in a dish, they just repeat to you the name and ask if that is what you want. On the other hand, the food is great. I love the Chow Mei Fun and the garlic chicken. The fried rice isn't that great but everything else I've tried has been super tasty. They have a great selection of vegetarian dishes and there is always something new to try. I'm a little leery of the pricing because it seems like I order the same thing and get a different total each time and since the bill is written in Chinese I can't find out what is causing the change in price each time. read more

Good food, and the cooks and counter people are very polite and friendly. Also, the lunches listed on the menu are not all that can be had. I typically order Szhechuan Chicken as a lunch special, and ask for white rice; no problem. I order out twice a week, and because my wife travels at Christmas, I order from Panda House for my Christmas meal. I'd give them five stars, but then my review would be hidden or rejected. read more

The only reason this place gets four stars is because of the food. The service is atrocious. You are inconveniencing the woman behind the counter by telling her your order. But at the end of the day...who care!? I'm there for food not friends, and good food is in the plenty. Also and most important: They have amazing crab rangoons. read more

Panda House is certainly not the best Chinese food in the area, but since it's on my way home, I end up getting it every once in a while. Most of the food is pretty bland, and all of the fried dishes in whatever sauce (i.e. General Tso's Chicken) all pretty much taste the same. However, the fried dumplings are delicious! I usually get an order of fried dumplings and garlic chicken - the garlic chicken is a little spicy and comes with a ton of vegetables which I like. The customer service is a little lacking, but they're fast. read more

The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean. The prices are comparable to other Chinese places in the area. The food is just your average Chinese place in East Lansing and I got exactly what I expected. Good portion sizes and it tastes good. read more

Decent Americanized Chinese take-out; if that's what you're looking for, this is it. Very polite, friendly service... the same 20-something guy has taken all 3 of my orders this fall and it's always 'yes, ma'am /sir' and 'thank you' with him. Decent veggie options, although all dishes are light on the spice (to be expected, I suppose). Close to home, reliable, and decent service. This a good, middle-of-the-week, what-can-we-eat-now option. Wouldn't go there for a night out or anything read more

Authentic and delicious. Their Food taste fresh and their costumer service is so fast and clear. Out of many other Chinese restaurants in the lansing area, I defiantly recommend this one. read more

I've tried this twice and tried oh so hard to like it since the workers seem so nice, but I prefer mall chinese over this. I ordered beef & broccoli and General tso. They had so much little of any sort of spice and so much salt and weird oil on the meat. The General tso tasted like orange chicken, yet sort of different. I couldn't put my finger on any of the tastes. My recommendation is to go to Panda Express before you try here. read more

I spent about $30 for my dinner. Got home and noticed I didn't get my complete order. I called back and told the owner/manager. He replied, "oh shoot." I was super irritated that I had to go back since I was planning to be in the house for the evening. Got there and was never offered an apology. Asked the owner/manager to discount 3/4 of my meal since I only got a portion of it. He refused and then got angry and said he would give me 10% and an egg roll. Really???? i left very disgusted. The food is ok. Will never go there again! read more

We ordered food from here a week ago and found some kind of worm in our food. Called them and they had no clue what I was talking about and transferred me to three different people. Finally the third one said bring it in and we will give a refund. Brought it in and got our refund but was given nasty looks, was very rude, and didn't even apologize. Will not be coming here again! read more

Panda House - Chinese Near Me - East Lansing, Michigan

A few months ago I would have given Panda House a 4/5. Typically my crab rangoons and chicken fried rice come out exactly as I hope, considering that this is borderline fast food. The only reason that I would have to knock a star off is that the last time I visited my crab rangoon's were dripping oil and melted right through the styrofoam container, an absolute turnoff for me. I will most likely visit again in the future but I am hoping this problem is addressed. It should be noted that the people there are wonderful and always happy to help, from a customer service standpoint they're awesome! read more

Compared to other Chinese places I have had, this place was not that special. I actually ordered delivery from here my first night in East Lansing. The delivery wait time was decent (about 30 minutes). The food. however, was just okay. I haven't visited or had food from here since. The prices aren't so bad so it's definitely a good go-to option. read more

Delish! The only place we will order for Chinese food. Highly recommend. Fast and piping hot when it arrives.

Delicious. Good deals, especially for lunch. The woman usually at the front isn't rude, she's simply quick to get your order and very efficient, doesn't have any over-the-top niceities. I don't mind it. Definitely worth checking out. read more

I'm writing this review at 4:43 am, because they got our order wrong again. I woke up sweating. We have been ordering from here for years and were always mildly happy with our food. House special lo mein was my favorite. About 4 months ago we started ordering vegetarian, and it was ok. 2 months ago we went completely plant based/vegan and this is when the mix ups started hurting. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or they are trying to screw up every order, but I don't think my stomach can take much more of this roller coaster read more

This is my favorite place to go for "American Chinese food" to the point where the employees recognize my phone number. I have always been very happy with my food and the staff is so friendly! Their fried rice and fried dumplings never fail. read more

I was hoping for so much better from this place, especially since it's very close to my new home. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. This is way below average for Chinese food in Lansing. I'd honestly rather eat IngCredbile than the food I got here. It was flat out bland and boring. The only positive thing I can say about it is that the restaurant is cleaner than most Chinese places. read more

Good food, friendly staff. They are helpful and willing to make exceptional substitutes like tofu for chicken. Recommended !

Ordered lunch with two cokes and a generous tip. $19. The delivery driver sat in the dining room a few feet away from me and shouted non-stop across the small room to a cook in the kitchen. The food was... well.. who knows? How could one concentrate on eating it? Because I stay very nearby I have had many meals here. While the loud driver too rude to shut up is a rare extreme, there often has been something slightly bone-headed about the dining room experience in the past year. At the very least, you always have to beg for fortune cookies. Verdict: This is a take-out and delivery kitchen. Full stop. The tables and chairs --and any guests in them-- are after-thoughts. They are nearly always empty. Serious foodies, this is not one of those hole in the wall Asian miracles that we have experienced in other cities. No friend that I have brought there is willing to go a second time. Rather, the food is very adapted to local take-out and delivery palates who are shy of authenticity, clarity, and heat but who do want to "eat Chinese" at home rather than order in pizza yet again. These are the happy customers I have seen picking up their orders. Yes, the staff are as friendly as the other reviews say-- if you do not like them, then truly you do not like people-- but as the other reviews also say, these charmers do not excel at customer service. They mean no harm; they just do not mean a normal dining experience either. In all seriousness, the owner should consider adopting the floor plan of the pizza place next door. An order window near the door. No dining room at all. A small area for take-out customers to wait in. A sound-proof, air conditioned office where the delivery guy can shout all he wants about each team competing for the World Cup. read more
