Foods great. The young woman that is usually at the counter needs to get a job she likes, she has a serious attitude issue. read more

Food was okay, I feel like the quality wasn't great the last two times I've been, first few times ive been were a lot better. The service is always rushed especially on the phone lol.. but over all 3/5 for everything. read more

This is a great place for takeout. The food comes out fast and hot. I usually get Szechuan chicken, which is always very good.

They have increased their rice size with entrees and now use the appropriate containers.

While the food is always fresh, plentiful, and delicious, it is most amusing to stop at Bamboo Garden just to observe the consistent, loud, and gruff yelling coming from the owner/mother to her younger staff, most of whom I assume are her kids or other relatives. She's really a good soul, just has a rough and sometimes scary persona. LOL! read more

Quick and easy. Service is simple, and the food is always on point. A great little spot here in GL!

Good take-out food, Fast service. Not a place you want to sit and eat, but an option. Family owned community business

As "regulars" here, I'd like to share that the consistency in quality of food has never fallen short for us, which is something I've rarely experienced in the restaurant industry. Also, to note, some reviews have complained of the "yelling" being stressful. I've observed over a long period of time that this misunderstanding may just be a matter of cultural difference in communication style as they don't appear to be angry with each other (similar in comparison to "loud" New-Yorkers). read more

Good good fast. Orders ready usually in 10 minutes. Fun to watch staff interact. Will definitely order from here again.

Food is consistently fresh and delicious! We especially enjoy the seafood rangoons, house special fried rice, generals chicken, cashew chicken, wonton soup, shrimp in garlic sauce and more! read more

Egg drop soup is the best around! Also love the lady that answers the phone :) She's the best!

Cashier was very RUDE unbelievable ! Ordered shrimp egg rolls and had 2 piece of shrimp. I do Not recommend read more

I like this place and it is handy to order from for pick up, and the food is pretty generous--just one note though, if you are checking out their prices on various web sites, call to check current prices, as the lunch specials tend to be closer to 8 or 9 dollars now, and not 6 or so read more

This is by far the best Chinese food in Michigan, whoever is posting about bland food and not having flavor has broken taste buds. And if you're not prepared to wait for the best Chinese food on the planet then shame on you for not realizing they are busy for a reason, because it's that good! I've been coming to Bamboo Gardens for over 20 years and they treat me like a friend every time I go in there and the food is always consistent! I have actually tried every other Chinese joint in town and they don't even come close to the quality or taste of food. You can even order extra meat by the dollar for whatever portion you get. If you want Szechuan beef, you can ask for $5 extra meat and they will definitely put it in the order in case y'all didn't know. They will customize the food however you want. read more

Craving some Chinese takeout and I was not dissatisfied! Bamboo gardens is the perfect quick spot to grab all your favorites. I enjoyed the veggie lo mein and my husband ate probably 50 egg rolls. The staff is FAST and friendly. Easy pick up and we were in and out in minutes! Thank you! read more

Liked the food here so I thought I'd try something new, "House Special S", Szechuan Bean Curd. Ordered extra spicy. Picked up the order and drove home and opened the package...to find out there wasn't ANY bean curd in it. Didn't feel like driving back again so I started the meal. Bland as heck, and certainly not extra spicy. Other options are available locally, so I think I'll be patronizing them instead. read more

Bamboo Gardens is a place we order from a couple times a month. So yummy. We often get the sweet and sour chicken and general tso's chicken. Have also had the sesame chicken. We normally get the combination plates. All very good and generous portions. read more

Best place for Chinese food in grand ledge. Friendly and quick take out. read more

Bamboo Garden - Exterior - Chinese Near Me - Grand Ledge, Michigan

I have been to most Chinese restaurants in Lansing. This one is the worst of them all. Chicken fried rice was so dry and the taste was awful. They don't even supply water here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Great food and clean business. Homemade sauce is to died for and they make their own egg rolls!

The last 3 times I have went in my food is just being started. I have waited 20 plus minutes each time to even leave my house. I get there to see it just being started. Love the food but crap time offers. I recommended staying they are on a 25-30 min. Not 10-15 every time. Not going back read more

I have been coming here for the last 15 years growing up in Grand Ledge. I have since moved away (Chicago) but when I come back to visit I call in an order every time on my way back into town. A trip to grand ledge isn't the same without those Crab Rangoons. read more

I've always been a fan of this restaurant but for some reason they won't ever give us any hot mustard packets. So weird. Tonight we picked up food and asked for some mustard and the woman who is always there tossed two in the bag, threw her hands up and yelled, "we're out!" Clearly this isn't true. I kindly asked for more and she is so incredibly rude and insisted they didn't order any. This happens. Every. Single. Time. I'm done with this place. Seriously lady, IT'S MUSTARD. read more

This is the secret Chinese restaurant in Grand Ledge. Consistent , good, fast all the things a take out joint should offer.

We always order to go from here. It's always very fast and ready when we get there. Sweet and sour chick is always delicious. Seafood rangoons are my personal favorite and are killer. We've moved through the menu pretty well and there hasn't been one item we didn't like. Definitely a hidden gem. Staff is friendly in there. No bad things to say about this place. read more

I absolutely love their food. Mon-Sat they offer $5 lunch combos. Tonight we ordered take out and they were phenomenal and in such huge dinner portions. The potstickers are especially out of this world, the lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, egg drop soup and the orange beef were just AMAZING. Came up to about $35 and worth every penny. The ingredients and fresh and the meals are delicious. I highly recommend it. I do also recommend calling ahead because u will wait. Miam miam!! read more

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Lansing area. It's consistently good and not overly greasy, and fresh, unlike many places around here. read more

The crew always seems very angry about something when I go in there. Tons of tension in the air about what I don't know.... The food is average at best, with no meaty chunks in the so-called pork fried rice. I felt like I was bothering them by giving my business .... never again! read more

Always consistent great American Chinese food! Been eating take out from there for a few years now. Everything we've tried has been excellent! read more

Absolutely amazing Chinese, I've been going here for 12+ years now and it's by far the best in GL

Over charged again!!! I order a #18 small . I got general tsos chicken not what I asked for. She said there is there's a lunch 18 which is the Tsos chicken , how ever it was after 6pm when i called and I said a small this item I received is a combo , one size. And its wasn't lunch. I also orders an egg roll- I revived two more total 3. And wonton soup mixed small. I got a large. This keeps happening I come here 3 -4 times a month. At first I felt well It was a mistake and let it go , few more times it happens then I called to tell them there mistake, now I complain online, I can't be the only one. These over charges was with my credit card. The women did offer to correct the mistake however my husband picked it up and the messed up order wasn't realized until he came home . and yo tied to back for them to get it right !! ,I'm not going back here again . ill use the House of Hsu for now on. This was obvious over charged, but over and over . I'm so done with u!!!. This not a freindly place there always yelling , at their kids , the young girl had tears in her eyes as the mother yelled at her. The women yells all the time, unpleasant place. I know Asians yell but there's a diffrence, of the yelling and speaking loudly. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. The flavor was bland and tasted like it just came out of a freezer that it sat in too long.

Many of us were vegetarian. We had a ginger and garlic vegetable stirfry. We asked about vegetarian egg foo young. The waitress and they're very rough blunt voice said, "we know have that at lunch". I asked if the eggrolls had meat in them and she said "yes, we have meat in those." The next person asked if they had spring rolls that were vegetarian and she said, "yes". Not sure why she could not have let me know that. Somebody else had something with mushrooms in it and another person had a combination. The food tasted very good and it was nice and fresh. We were very surprised at how rough the waitress was with us. The spring rolls were great. Just her personality I assume, as everyone was respectable in our group. When we got our bills, we waited 20 minutes without seeing our waitress. We finally decided that maybe we were to pay as we left. That was the case. read more

Was driving through town and stopped at this place for lunch--large menu, quick service. This is more of a take-out than a dine-in location (we ate in). Their lunch portions are generous for the price, and I was sufficiently full after; some of the best sesame chicken I have ever had. The fried rice was nothing exceptional, but it was still really good. My only true complaint about this is that they do not provide water if you're dining in; if you do not select the menu option with a soda/pop with your drink, you do not get a drink. (Options are soup and meal, or soda and meal.) I had asked for a cup of water but wasn't given any, which was a little disappointing. Still, I'd definitely go back and enjoy their food all over again. read more

Extensive menu. Very clean. Efficient family service. Two small tables to eat in; set up for take out. Flavorful, fresh ingredients cooked to order so the wait was about 20 min at 5 pm with 6 people ahead of me. Dumplings have a nice homemade tender dough; not the thin won ton wrappers used by some places. The filling is tasty and substantial. The classic soy dipping sauce has a nice punch of ginger, as it should. The pork chow mein with crispy squares of "noodle" was loaded with tender roast pork strips and vegetables in a subtle but tasty thin sauce. The Moo Goo Gui Pan had crisp cooked vegetable, velvety tendy white chicken and a lovely translucent sauce. The Sesame chicken, ordered extra spicy was a perfect balance of sweet and heat. I'll pas on the egg rolls next time; chewy tough and too "cabbagie" for my taste. So glad to find this place and looking forward to trying more dishes. read more

Their food is amazing, every time I am so satisfied. We have eaten there at least 25 times, and I haven't been displeased yet. Everything is fresh daily and you can taste it. Their spring rolls are better than any I've ever had, they redefined spring roll, and they are so cheap you have to get 10. My wife orders vegetarian food, and after years of eating there, we have never found a single piece of meat in her food, unlike the other chinese places in town, that are usually like 50/50. No kidding they cook like anything in 10 minutes, and I think the longest I've ever been told was 20 minutes, and that was in prime time dinner hour on a saturday night. Favorite take out in the lansing area. read more
