The employees are always nice. I've ate here multiple times with no problems. Unfortunately I won't return after this. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and my chicken had a large bug in it.

Two words... Hidden Gem! Wow! We ordered carry out from Wok & Roll on a whim and were super impressed with our first visit! The chicken egg rolls were huge and delicious, and the portions of our entrees were filling. I ordered Mongolian beef and normally when I see that little red chili pepper next to the name of the dish, I'm disappointed that it isn't at all spicy when I take my first bite. Not this time! The Mongolian beef was making my nose run! I also enjoyed the fried rice - it was loaded with vegetables and scrambled egg, and it was not dry like some Chinese carry out is. My significant other ordered the Double Delight and said it had great flavor and was some of the best Chinese carry out he has had in a while. We both thought the sauce flavors and quality of ingredients were above average, and we are looking forward to our next visit to see how consistent their dishes are. I round down for half numbers but our experience tonight was worth a solid 4.5 stars!

Stopped in for the first time this evening hoping to find a good spot to start ordering from. May have found one. Came in around 7pm. Few people in the store. Kind cashier gave me some time to review the menu while she attended to the other customers in the store. I asked her a couple of questions about how some items were prepared and decided on the chicken and broccoli. She said it'd ready in five minutes and sure enough she was bringing out my order. The chicken (white meat) and broccoli were cooked well and was well seasoned and not overly sauced. The quart size was served with a pint of white rice and was well priced. Would definitely order it again.

After reading all the funny reviews on this place on how mean the lady at the front is, I had to come to this place to try it out. Mostly because I knew if people thought the Asian lady at the front cashier was mean, that means its legit. I was right. Its looks like a hole in the wall joint in a small strip mall next to the gas station. When I walked in only 3 people were eating inside. I walked up to the counter and the menu indeed was in Chinese. I ignored the other "regular" menu since it was the generic asian-american items. I asked for the thousand year old egg and tofu but they were out of the eggs so I went with the Ma Po Tofu and the tomato egg soup. Ma Po Tofu is a spicy dish with soft tofu and minced pork. The tomato egg soup is a light clear broth with of course, eggs and tomatoes. The tofu was 8.99 and the soup was 6.99. both reasonably priced. I also purchased a chrysanthemum tea for $1.10. Altogether came out to about $18. It was alot of food. I ate this meal twice and even heated up it was delicious. This is easily the best Ma Po tofu I have ever had. Most of the places make it generic with diced carrots and peas. Wok & Roll's tofu was spicy and very appetizing with rice. All in all, I am so glad I found this place. The lady was nice enough, its what you expect at authentic Chinese restaurants. So ,my advice for those that cant hack it trying to order here, lighten up or go to Panda Express for your Chinese food fix.

Food is awesome but the restaurant is tiny. Service is fair because this is more like fast food restaurant. Cash only so not that convenient.

The best Asian restaurant in town. You can watch them prepare your food, especially making hot-sour soup.

The Wok and Roll was very good for lunch and dinner with a lot of selections and large portions. We would definitely go back.

I do see a lot of takeout orders going out, but usually you can easily get a seat and the food is prepared quickly. Have tried maybe 10-12 different dishes and all of them are good in their own way. Some favorites include the Spicy fish filet soup (a large bowl you can share), shredded pork with dry bean curd, stir fry string bean (a classic), and then the string bean with ground pork - (green beans are diced into small pieces). You really can't go wrong, so it's a matter of finding your favorites. The servers are extremely helpful and almost always know the menu very well. You can get American-style dishes such as Beef Broccoli and General Tso, but I would recommend branching out - haven't been disappointed with any menu item yet! Really great execution, professional service, all around fantastic place to eat, especially with a group so you can order several dishes to share.

I looked at the menu and for the dry pot, you need to select a min. of seven items from the menu. If doing dry pot, let the staff know, as there's a separate menu for it. I went with med. spice, added: squid x 2, rice noodles x 2, shrimp x 2, beef brisket x 2, pork belly x 2, baby bokchoy x 1, chinese cabbage x 1, egg plant x 1, dry tofu x 2, & enoki mushroom x 1 Yes, added a lot and it's because the menu was not helpful. Lot of the items are singular, couldn't tell if "Squid" meant 1 or 1 serving. If it was 1 serving, how many squids came in a serving? As I wasn't sure, some of them I ended up ordering two. IE: Shrimp, I got 2 orders, there were 9 or 10 shrimps... had I know 1 order was equal to 5 shrimps, I would have ordered just 1. I wish they would update their menu to reflect the topping items so the customers know how many comes in a order. My bill came out to $70, yeah, it can get expensive! It took some time to get the food... but because I ordered lot of items, the food that came out was good for 5 people :) It was good, loved the medium spice and definitely hit the spot. Oh and yes, had leftover and took it home. I thought I was going a good job of eating, but barely made dent in the plate. I brought the leftovers home and had two more meals out of it. If you are in EL area, definitely visit the place and if you go, go with friends to try other offerings. If you are solo diner and ordering dry pot, only order one item of each from the list and 7 items from the list will be plenty for one person. Three stars for now.

But a friend had recommended it so we were willing to give it a try. Overall a great Chinese food experience. The menu says it's a Sichuan restaurant. And they had Sichuan dishes plus the "American" Chinese dishes you'd expect. I see they also do dim sum but we didn't try that. They have a ton of vegetarian options! The server told us that they have been open since about 2011 and they used to only have traditional Sichuan food. Their primary customer base was international students who wanted authentic Chinese food like they had at home. But after Covid there were few international students from China in town and their business was struggling, so they expanded the menu to appeal to American tastes. As a result, the menu is huge! And you can choose between authentic Chinese or American style. We tried 2 dishes and enjoyed them both. We will definitely return and try some others. It's not a fancy restaurant but there are comfortable seats for 2 and big round tables with turntables for parties of 10 who want to share dishes. The staff is a very nice and helpful family.
