Kids box (top), Chicken Green Curry (left), Salmon Salad (right)
    Emily G.

Always passed by this place but never noticed what it was until my coworker recently kept raving about how customizable and affordable it was. My friend and I decided to order online for pick up. They have multiple locations in SF and throughout the Bay Area. We got: 1 create your own chicken box ($17), 1 chef's signature box ($17), and 1 kids box ($14). Creating our own chicken box allowed us to choose a base (salad, rice, or vermicelli) remove any included toppings, switch sauces, or add additional proteins (+$4) besides the chicken. The chef's signature box of salmon salad was exactly what the name sounded like. The kids box had the option to choose a base and protein, and came with a cookie, side broccoli, and drink of choice. I felt like the kids box was the best deal of the 3 (also what my coworker kept raving about) since you can add an additional protein for $4 and it comes out to $14 which is less than the other boxes. Keep in mind that this is meant for kids (also listed on their website for 10 years and younger) so the portions will be smaller. Either way, everything tasted healthy and fresh - from the soft baked salmon to the lemongrass pork. The 3 boxes were split among 3 people and we finished everything. It was a nice light meal so I'd say the portion is just right for those who are not too hungry.

    Workout Box with tofu

Asian Box is great comfort food to me, and I was thrilled to see there's a BOGO deal for the month of July. If you order a Workout Box on DoorDash, you get a second one for free! I don't eat meat so I wasn't sure if the deal would apply to me, but I was able to swap the chicken for tofu at no added cost. The sauces are also only 50 cents extra. I ordered the peanut sauce and the red curry sauce. I loved the peanut sauce but the red curry sauce was a bit spicier than I was expecting. With that said, the food was delicious and I'm so happy I got two for the price of one. Food: 9/10 Drinks: N/A Service: 10/10 Ambience: 6/10 Vegan-friendly: 9/10

Tried this place for the first time today, and I was sadly disappointed. I came by with my coworker, and we both got "create your own box" meals. The flavor itself was good in my opinion, but what ruined it for both of us were the cold noodles and overall portion sizes. The noodles were hard and dry, and seemed to be at least a day old. On top of that, they didn't give very much of it. My coworker also ordered double meat, but when his came out, there was no real difference. We both ended up leaving still hungry. Based on the ratings this place has, along with their prices, I expected a lot better. Maybe it was just a fluke this one time, but I wouldn't try my luck by coming a second time.

Fast casual for a quick and easy meal in a neighborhood where there's not too many authentic Asian options. The chicken pho was flavorful and filling. I wanted some warm broth and this hit the spot. They were running some special deals too.

Quick, healthy, and delicious. I've visited Asian Box several times, and it has never disappointed. I've tried a few items: The Workout, The Miss Jones, Chicken & Veggie Green Curry, and even created my own box. Every dish tasted healthy without sacrificing flavor. When you visit, the cashier will take your order in the front, and your order will be called shortly after. While many people opt for takeout, they do offer some indoor seating if you want to dine in. The interior is relatively modern. Either way, it is a solid option.

Saw a promotion for $1 taro milk tea so I decided to swing by and give it a try. Ordering was super easy, the server/cashier was friendly! The taro milk tea itself didn't have that strong of a flavor. It's premixed so you can't adjust sweetness or type of milk (but it's non-dairy so that's good for all the lactose friends out there). Regarding the boba -- texture was fine but it literally tastes like nothing. Overall not too impressed by the specific drink I tried but can't speak about their main offerings.

    The Workout

Tasty asian-fusion bowl-styled meals great for a quick lunch. I stopped by after a workout and got 'The Workout' and took a counter spot by the window, which has a nice view of the street but is a little chaotic being near the cashier. Food came out within minutes! The tamarind sauce is a little sweet, so I wish there was a little more depth (fish sauce, soy sauce, five spice, etc.). I did like the pickled vegetables and mint which added some needed freshness. However, the staff was super friendly and made eating in really enjoyable!

Good for a lunch box- tasty selections and relatively healthy options. Got the chicken green curry and garden box. Good ratio of protein to sides in the box for the price, nice flavors, could maybe be a little more saucy and spicy for both dishes. The shrimp rolls are good and fresh also. Got a takeout order but it looks spacious on the inside with seating and wasn't very busy. Quick service and pleasant staff.

    The Miss Jones

Would give this a 4.5/5 visit. Ordered the Miss Jones box that has lemongrass pork, chilled noodles, an egg, and veggies. Flavorful and a fair portion. Pork has nice grilled caramelized flavor and the box sauce is tangy and a little sweet. Easy to order, friendly staff, and for a late Saturday dinner it was ready within 5 minutes. There must be prepared ingredients in a build-your-own-bowl fashion. There's interior seating and some outside patio tables

    Midori L.

I first heard about this place when I saw it catered at my workplace. I enjoyed their build your own bowls so much I went to the shop with one of my friends after Pilates. The food was just as good as I remembered at the office! I went again tonight and thought it definitely deserved 5 stars. There is a lot of seating and the staff was helpful. Perfect place for healthy eats and catching up with friends!

Friendly staff, clean and casual restaurant, healthy and tasty options, all gluten-free. I also got a free housemade drink with my order via a Yelp Check-In Offer. Sign up for a loyalty account and get a free box ($14.99 value) during your birthday week. ENTREES, RANKED FROM BEST TO WORST: = Chef Gracie's Grandma's Pho: Delicious and the portion size is huge! = Miss Jones box: My favorite non-soup box. = The Workout box: Delicious and also healthy = Vietnamese Hot Chicken box: Also good. I request to swap out white rice for brown. = Chicken & Veggie Green Curry box: Also tasty, but spicy, so not for the faint of heart. = Sweet & Sour Chicken box (seasonal): The worst. Way over-salted. Also doesn't taste anything like regular Chinese sweet & sour chicken. Instead, the sauce tastes like what is used for Chinese beef and broccoli. But way saltier, like drinking soy sauce... OTHER ITEMS = Iced Vietnamese Coffee: Perfect if you like your coffee strong. Some tables indoors and outdoors, plus barstool seating along the window, good for solo dining. It's fortunately never crowded or too busy here when I visit. One single stall bathroom in the back.

    Gluten free everything!

I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. The location is perfect, staff were friendly, prices are decent, and the food was delicious. About the food: I love a good Banh Mi sandwich, and on gluten free bread - the lemongrass pork was a powerhouse on its own and the jalapeños kicked as much as you'd want them to. Definitely wasn't mad. I also had the Sriracha Buffalo Wings, which were moist but still could've been crispier - tasty nonetheless. More kicking on the spice level as well, which is my preference. As usual, will be back.

    Workout Box
    Linda Y.

Great spot to get a to-go box and chow down if you're too busy to make lunch or just wanna take a walk by the water with your food. My fav is the workout - the sauce is nice and tangy, chicken is flavorful (nice lemongrass zest) and a nice scoop of (bland) veggies. I'll third whoever said this was an Asian version of Chipotle.

I realized I had not added seating accommodation to my reservation and tried to call, but no one answered. When we arrived, the hostess told us we would not be able to sit in any of the currently empty booths because reservations were coming in later. We were seated at a table off the dining space near the kitchen, my mom was a little too chilly and the booth didn't have enough neck support. I expressed to the host that though I was sorry I had forgotten to add accommodation, that this was just not the way to handle the problem. I was able to speak to the manager, who had been outside taking orders and was clearly working very hard that day. (Her name is quite uncommon so I'm just going to call her M, but I really appreciate your help!) She asked me what my concern was, and I told her, at which point she asked me to wait nearby while she figured out if she could rearrange some tables for us. The bartender was incredibly kind and served me while I waited, and distracted me from imminent tears by sharing intricate details about each drink he was making. I learned do they have a myriad of health oriented cocktails, with ingredients like turmeric, ginger, and aloe liqueur. The manager returned and said that she had already seated my mother in a new space and escorted me to the table, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the meal. At the beginning of the menu, they list the ingredients that are currently in season, and at the back of the menu, there is a color wheel, telling you the benefits of the colors of food. (Purple foods can assist with memory and brain function!). We ordered the asparagus, which was in season, spicy cucumber, and the Aji grill for two. The tofu that came with the grill for two was my favorite thing that we ate. I think you can judge a vegan / vegetarian restaurant by their treatment of tofu. Perfectly seasoned with a crispy outside and I would come back just for this. The cauliflower steak was also pretty tasty. The cocktails are excellent, we tried the BLACKPINK and my mother tried the espressotini and we were really happy with both. I don't know how popular their bar scene is, but I imagine it would be a nice way to meet other vegan and vegetarian folks over light bites. Our waiter Daniel made sure to give us the Mother's Day special dessert the restaurant had created, which was an avocado Grenache with fresh berries. If the experience had started with less stress, this review would be five stars, but I'm very grateful to the staff for doing what they could to correct it and ensure that we had a great Mother's Day! I would love to visit again and update my review :)

The roll has tempura spicy tofu, green onion, sesame, spicy aioli, sweet soy. It's crunchy and the sauce was super flavorful, even better than some regular sushi I've ever had. I stopped by Greens Restaurant for a late solo lunch. I'm not vegetarian myself but heard amazing…read morethings about the food here and you can't beat the nice views of the bay if you're lucky enough to sit by a window. I ended up ordering a mushroom rueben with pastrami spiced roasted maitake, sauerkraut, and gruyere. Loved everything about this sandwich from the crusty bread to the gooey cheese and super flavorful maitake which felt like a substantial protein substitute. It's served with a side of housemade chips. The rueben was large enough that I was full eating just half and got the rest to go. After finishing my meal, I also got an oat cappuccino for an afternoon pick me up and was happy to have a boost of caffeine. The espresso was surprisingly good for a restaurant coffee bar. Would definitely recommend for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. I'll have to come back to try their dinner menu which seems more creative and unique!
