    10. Crab Rangoon
    Rashad A.

Simply solid Chinese takeout. Big servings and the quality is pretty good. The crab rangoon is outstanding

Pork fried rice, chicken wings and beef teriyaki combo. Very oddly seasoned
    Rebecca S.

I ordered two items for delivery. Sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll and a sample with beef teriyaki, chicken wings, egg roll and fried rice. I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with the food; there also just wasn't anything right with it. The chicken wings and beef teriyaki had a strange seasoning to them and no sauce. At the least youd expect the beef to have ...teriyaki sauce on it, but no. It was well cooked though. Fried rice was bland and egg roll was just weird.

    Hair

THERE WERE THREE HAIRS IN MY FOOD!! Someone first mentioned this restaurant to me when I moved to the area so I have been coming here for years. Very disappointed to find hair in my food and not have the restaurant offer to redo it. They will certainly no longer be getting my business.

Tofu and veggie stir fry. Missing some of the tofu and green peppers - sorry!

Really exciting place focused on Northwest Chinese cuisine…read more The signature dish, the hand-pulled beef noodle soup, had a fairly light, but subtle, flavor. The noodles themselves I wish were chewier (got the 'flat' but probably should have gone for 'extra wide'), and perhaps it'd been nice to have some different textures inside the soup (e.g. something crunchy). The scallions in the soup were also too wide, and needed to be sliced more thinly. The beef pancake was quite decent, though the edges didn't have enough beef and the middles had too much beef. The beef was tender, though I might have liked it more flaky. The sauce inside the pancake was somewhat unevenly applied, and a bit too sweet. I wonder if a dipping sauce (maybe a vinegar?) would have helped. The blueberry with mashed yams was fascinating. It was listed under appetizers, and wondered why the dish came out last. But the dish was a bit sweet (naturally!) and so it actually worked as a light modest dessert! The wait staff was spot on after all in putting out the dish last. The stir-fried cabbage dish was beautiful! It was appropriately crunch, yet using good wok hey. The salt level was a bit high, but the spice level was good. Their spice ratings were a bit timid to what I encounter in Szechuan restaurants (the 'regular' level seemed to be more 'mild-regular'). The stir-fried cumin potato was delicious; nicely flavored, nicely charred. Some bits were a bit oily but the cook on the potato was really neat. Will revisit!!!

The hand pulled beef noodles are a must try! You can customize your noodle thickness. First time I went I tried the wide noodles and the second time I went all in for the extra wide noodles available with the regular spice level. I added on the tea egg and they brought it on the side for you to add into the broth. We tried the lamb skewers and those were flavorful to whet the appetite for share in group of 5. We capped off the meal with their jelly vanilla ice cream dessert too which was the perfect way to wash the delicious spices from the noodle soup earlier. I would definitely come again as each time the noodles, soup and the beef were equally tasty.

Each of the times I remembered were tasty. The ambiance when you arrive is dramatic Chinese music in the background which makes it somewhat difficult to converse with your group. Most recently we arrived with a group of 8 for our 7:30 pm reservation without any issues. All the other tables were full but we noticed the restaurant cleared out after an hour of us being there past the peak hours. They gave us 2 containers of the standalone spicy powder so people could add on as they wanted and the less spice tolerant in our group weren't saddled with the consequences. I tried the following dishes: Lamb & Beef Kebabs - 3 sticks per order I preferred the beef texture and taste over the lamb. BBQ Lamb Ribs - they said this was the only dish that came default spicy but I didn't think it was that spicy. the smoking in the raised wooden container gave it additional flavor. I preferred lamb ribs over the kebabs. Torched Beef - one of the favorites for our table the sauce with it was also super tasty. Big Squid - challenging to cut but they give a lot of pieces and generous portion with a special sauce. Grandma's juicy pork buns - on the small side, topped with black sesame and sauce you can add on the side. it was juicy as advertised. Cucumber salad - refreshing and included peanuts for texture and flavor. Fried tofu - not too memorable but the fried texture was tasty. Bok choy - I enjoyed the sauce spread across this veggie dish. Shiitake & King Oyster Mushroom - these are 2 separate orders but I can't remember which was the skewer and which was on a regular plate. Both were overall tasty. Cauliflower - Another solid veggie option but nothing too memorable if you want to focus mainly on protein. BBQ Bread slice - one of the inauthentic cuisines and it's like French toast Kaoijiu dragon yogurt- I was expecting more dragon fruit flavor so that was a bit disappointing but it still tasted good overall. I am not sure it's worth the $10 dessert price. Overall solid food options and we didn't have any leftovers so it ended up being ~$40-60 per person depending if people also ordered drink/dessert. Worth checking out if you haven't had a chance to before they are gone forever!

5 for food 2 for service…read more We love the NYC version of this restaurant, and were excited to visit the Boston spot for mouth numbing dishes. Starting with an iPad menu, our ordering experience with our waiter was subpar. We ended up with extra things ordered that weren't part of our initial order. In good news the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fire and the waiter poured 5 glasses of water for 3 of us. So we could cool down without needing to flag him down. With the only non-Asian waiter in the restaurant, he struggled with basic elements of service. Inattentive. Requests went unmet (lemons for water). We sat for more than 15 mins after asking to box up leftovers and to close our check. This was all a little embarrassing, as we brought my boyfriend's father. After singing praises of the NYC spot, this was a disappointment.

We walked into a contemporary interior with a lively but comfortable atmosphere that felt more upscale than a typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The room had a refined, energetic feel with a layout that accommodated both small groups and larger parties comfortably, and the menu included a wide variety of dishes with the focus clearly on traditional Sichuan specialties alongside a selection of milder options for those who preferred less heat. The Sichuan dishes are the biggest reason to visit. We ordered a few items and found favorites like the fish in spicy broth, mapo tofu, dan dan noodles, and twice-cooked pork showcasing the signature flavors of the region, combining chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns to create a balance of heat and numbing spice that came through clearly in each dish. The fish was tender and the broth carried a deep, layered heat, while the mapo tofu had a rich, savory depth with the characteristic numbing kick. We also appreciated that the menu offered a variety of vegetable dishes, with the sautéed cauliflower and sizzling eggplant standing out as flavorful options that complemented the richer entrées. The portions were generous enough to share, making it easy to order several dishes for the table and experience a wider range of flavors. Although the restaurant is known for its spicy food, there were plenty of choices for those who preferred something milder, with dishes like Kung Pao chicken, crispy shrimp, and a selection of rice and noodle dishes providing variety without requiring an extremely high spice tolerance. The dessert menu also offered a nice finish to the meal, with options like brown sugar rice cakes adding a sweeter contrast after the bold flavors of the main courses. The service was one of the highlights of the experience. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to answer questions about the menu or recommend dishes based on spice preferences. Because of the restaurant's popularity, it could get quite busy during dinner and weekends, so making a reservation ahead of time is a good idea if you want to avoid a wait. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the experience smooth without feeling rushed. Overall, Noah's Kitchen is a great destination for anyone looking for authentic Sichuan-inspired cuisine in a modern setting. The extensive menu, flavorful dishes, and attentive service make it an easy place to recommend for both group dinners and special occasions. Whether we enjoy spicy food or simply want to explore regional Chinese cuisine beyond the usual takeout favorites, it is a restaurant that offers plenty of reasons to come back and try something new.

So mind you, I was super surprised by this place. Clay pot rice is hard to find to begin with. Good claypot rice is a treasure. This place got my parents as my approval so that bar as high as heck. This is a definite must for those who want authentic Chinese food in Boston. We ordered their chicken with mushroom, two clay pots of frog, a vegetable one, Chinese sausage with bacon, and a preserved duck claypot rice. We had my brother's friend and my husband too so this was for a party of 6. We also ordered their sauteed lettuce, soup dumplings and their house chicken. Their house chicken is to die for. Oh my lord is it good. Their sauteed lettuce was pretty good too. The only one that fell really flat was the soup dumplings. Pretty sure they're frozen ones...and they kept ripping/sticking to the paper under them...on top of being way too close to each other that they all stuck. Um...yeah, hard pass on that next time. But the claypot rice is absolutely delicious. Add the claypot rice soy sauce and you're golden. Only thing that was different and this is more of a personal preference...less ginger? I know ginger is needed but having small planks of them showing up is a bit much. Minced maybe? Even strip to pick out is fine. But happily eating claypot rice only to bite into a piece of ginger is not so nice. The only claypot rice I didn't care much for was the preserved duck...it's not really my thing. My brother ordered it but I prefer normal roast duck to preserved. Tasted kind of weird. Still, lot of good food here. But perhaps stick to their house chicken, sauteed vegetables and their claypot rice. Skip the soup dumpling.
