I had a terrible experience here, such that we didn't even get to order food and thus can't really review the food. I went with three people, and we had all never been before. The menu is gigantic, with a lot of stir-fry's with sauces we'd never head of. Upon asking what one of the sauces tasted like (whether it was sweet, sour, etc.) and upon a response of "I don't know" asking whether we could try a taste of it, our waitress left us to go to the kitchen (I assume) and came back only to tell us "it's a brown sauce". We then asked about a different sauce with some random name, wondering what it tasted like, and she just pointed to the people two tables away who had apparently ordered the same thing. We then asked what the closest thing was to a vegetable stir-fry with teriyaki sauce, since apparently it was unclear what half of the items on the menu actually might taste like. We were told they didn't have a vegetable stir-fry, but after asking what one of the stir-fry's on the menu were like, were then told it's vegetables in a sauce. The waitress didn't care about us ordering something we wanted, didn't care about answering any of our questions, and may not have even known the menu at all. The service was so terrible, we left and went to Wicked. They may have good food, but unfortunately we weren't going to wait around and find out. Underwhelmed. We were seated immediately and then proceeded to wait 10 minutes for service. I finally ended up going to the hostess who didn't seem bothered by the fact we waited so long. Server, or should I say kitchen help came out and took our order.Food arrived in a timely fashion. Wonton soup was flavorless, though the dumplings were tasty. We had two orders of lo mein which were good but had canned mushrooms! Who heard of a Chinese place that serves canned mushrooms? We also were surprised there were no noodles, sauce or tea (standard Chinese restaurant fare) upon sitting down. I knew we made the wrong choice when someone walked in, looked around and said "wow, you are busy!" Ummm, there were about a dozen people there. There were employees in the corner table making dumplings, so all you heard was their chatter. This place was delicious and good pricing. I came here for lunch, ordered a roll along with 2 chinese combos. The roll came out very quickly and was very good sushi. The chinese combos were a great price and plenty of food. Crab rangoon was delicious, lo mein, pork fried rice, etc. Everything was so good. Four of us went tonight. Three ordered Japanese. Two ordered avocado salad--that was very good. On the other hand, two ordered one of tonight's special rolls.each, plus regular rolls from the menu. The rolls, special and otherwise, were not very good, and were very small, not at all what one would expect of rolls costing over $12 to $14 each. This restaurant has gone by 3 different names in the last 15 or so years, but it's close to my mom's house so we go every now and then. My favorite item to order is the large chicken and rice soup, for $5 it feeds both my husband and myself. The rest of the food is priced averagely and tastes about the same. Delicious sushi. Decent Thai dishes. Interesting new Korean style things. Mediocre Chinese food. This place has been a few things since I've lived on Cape (1996). For a long time it was called the Jade and did amazing Chinese food. Then it went through a few incarnations of different pan-Asian style places until finally settling on this one - a mainly sushi restaurant that served a few basic Chinese meals for the non-sushi crowd. Over the past few years its gotten better and better, though if you want just Chinese I would recommend finding your closest exclusively Chinese restaurant. The sushi is always fresh and really good. The chefs put in a lot of extra effort into presentation and creative sushi. Everything that comes out is beautiful. There are also quite a few non-fish options. Cucumber is the typical choice for veggie sushi lovers, and they do it well, but the tempura sweet potato one is delicious and so much better. There's a good selection of sashimi quality fish too, so you can build a good meal with lots of variety. Last year they started adding in a lot of different dishes, including some Thai things, which is great because Thai food is hard to find on Cape. Its just basic curries, but for a break from sushi or if that's just not what you're in the mood for, they're really good. They also have some Korean things listed now that I haven't personally tried but the table next to me last time said were really good. All those good options just make the fact that the Chinese food is less than average more obvious. I think they only keep it on the menu knowing that some people will just never want sushi, but really its not quality food. Always a little greasy, not quite spicy enough, and usually too sweet. There's General Tso and Honey Chicken and fried rice in various flavors, and they'll all do for a quick fix, but its nothing exciting, different or impressive. Stick to sushi, Japanese, or the new options, and save the Chinese for your already favorite place. read more

My sister and her kids are big fans of Asia. It's close-by, and dishes up tasty Asian fare to eat in or take out. In my experience, only having had their take-outt, it's overpriced for what you get, but uses fresh ingredients and good seasoning. The place looks nicer than average for eating in and its convenient location in the shopping area of Mashpee makes it a popular choice for summer tourists and year-round locals alike. I am of the opinion that it's better to do a more limited menu very well than a wide variety of dishes (Chinese, Thai, Japanese in this case) just okay, but Asia probably falls into the latter category. There's nothing wrong with the food, it's just not really something to go seek out. I wouldn't bother with sushi there unless you're just into something simple like a California roll. read more

Some of the best Chinese food we have had! Unfortunately, the food was slow to get to us and the waitress was too busy with other tables to notice us. While we realize the restaurant was busy when we got there, we didn't have to wait for a table for 6. By the time we were ready to leave and the restaurant was half empty, I had to go to the front to ask for our check as our waitress was no where to be found. I would give this a 5-star rating for food! Paradise chicken was amazing and the General Hao's chicken was hearty pieces of meat, not just batter/breading. Came here a few weeks ago with a gal-pal to get our Sushi on! Started with the Miso, Seaweed Salad and Sake. Ordered a couple of rolls to share, Spicy Tuna and Salmon and a Tempura Shrimp. I was excited since this was my 2nd Sushi experience (the 1st being Haru) and was expecting the same deliciousness.... Unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed. We thought we would try this restaurant for a 3rd time. Now after making excuses for them being busy a couple times, we thought we would give them another shot. Well I'll tell, this has to be one of the worst Chinese restaurants we've ever ate at. Was introduced to Asia last summer by a friend. Have probably eaten there 10-12 times since with each visit providing no surprises. The sushi has always been excellent and the service equally on par. I look for two things in a restaraunt of this type, cleanliness and freshness and they excel in both. Standard Asian "fusion" cuisine, overpriced for what it is. I have no problem paying top dollar for outstanding service and food, but on the 2 times I tried this place, both were average at best. The first time, the hostess was grumpy, food was slow to arrive, everything tasted OK but not great. A few weeks later, I was coerced by a friend to return, and the experience was similar. On the other hand, I will admit the sushi I got on the second trip was expensive but top notch. I give Asia 3 stars instead of 2 solely for this reason. Hmm. Well, at least there's a lot of choices... none were good... Shudder... First off, I appreciated that there were some asian food places on the cape. While I love italian, I had to have SOME rice on this trip. This place was a relatively new looking place. They were trying to be kinda trendy, but this area feels like it should be more suited to the older/retirees crowd. Asia is just as it sounds, an Asian restuarant that tries to serve basically a whole east asia's worth of food. This would be an immediate losing proposition in LA, but hell, there's just not that many options out here on the cape. So when we went, we tried to get some 'variety': We had miso soup, 'Kelbi', Pad Thai, and Beef Broccoli. For beer, I think we had some Sapporo so that was a nicer surprise Miso soup... what the, watery but salty. Beef broccoli was ok, but a little tough. Kalbi was tough and tasted closer to some sort of salty teriyaki-ish flavor. Pad Thai was weird; was very watery and sweet. Portions were pretty good though. Overall, this would be a 2 but at least it was pretty filling. And since there's just not that many Asian options at night on the cape well... 3 stars. read more

I only downloaded this app to write this review. I have NEVER written a bad review before. If I could give this 0 stars I would just for experience. Food was good. I honestly wasn't going to say anything but after talking about it this morning with other people who have been there and experienced the same thing I felt it needed to be shared. The service we had last night was horrible. The bartender clearly looked at us and thought we looked young and we were not worth his time. Yes, we looked young. But between the three of us you had one 14 year strait Restaurant worker with 8 years bartending experience and 12 years cooking, a 9 year cook with a degree in business management and culinary and a FIREFIGHTER. We were treated like we didn't exist. Our food all came out at different times which wouldn't have mattered much if he wasn't so rude about it. And after waiting a half an hour for our well done chicken wings (which I know how long they take to cook when you're dead on a Sunday night and I'm one of two people ordering food at the time) we asked for the food to go. He threw our plates at us, sighed when we ordered our food and blamed me ordering my wings well for the wait when the plate came out boiling hot because it had clearly been sitting in the window while he was giggling and talking with the only other 3 guests there. Must have been nice to be them. We left angry and will not be back. read more

The service is average to below average, but they make up for some of that in the amount of different items and varieties of Asian cuisines they offer. The food was average; the protein sources were well cooked but the vegetables fell short a bit in our view. This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants on the Cape! The sushi is absolutely delicious and the egg rolls, which are handmade in the restaurant, are top-notch. The managers are super friendly and attentive and always make you feel welcome. They recently renovated the entire restaurant, both inside and outside, and let me tell you they made an already beautiful restaurant even more lovely. The dining experience inside is always good, but they're great for take-out as well! I *highly* recommend their Thai basil fried rice with beef, as it is to die for. Don't expect to be wowed. Nice atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. Food is average at best. I ordered Pad Thai but it did not taste like Pad Thai. It tasted like rice noodles with sweet and sour sauce with some peanuts on top. It didn't have that spicy peanut flavor Pad Thai is supposed to have. My kids had a combo platter with two types of chicken. The chicken on a stick was undercooked and the fried chicken was overcooked. Egg rolls were fine but like I said, average. I'll be totally honest with you I've been eating at this place for a long time because the service is pretty good the food is great never felt like I ever got taken advantage there until now. After asking them to delete a certain vegetable which I was allergic to and add a vegetable that is offered in many other dishes for no additional charge, they proceeded to charge me 20% upcharge. I've never had that happen at any of the other establishments I frequent and to be honest we'll probably go get Asian food elsewhere from now on. Just an FYI this restaurant is 10-20% more expensive than most on Cape Cod! A 20-year food relationship with a restaurant just went sour over a $2 upcharge. read more
