Steamed shrimp and vegetables - A takeout container filled with steamed vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, snap peas, and cabbage, typical of Chinese cuisine.
    Tara D.

Waking up late on Cape Cod, means only one thing.... everything closes early so you might not get a descent dinner. As a traveler, I quickly found the nearest restaurant offering some of my favorite dishes, Singapore Rice Noodles, Steamed shrimp and vegetables, and the house special soup (basically all the meat and vegetables packed into a 2 quart container). The price was very reasonable and the pictures describe a delicious feast. I advise just ordering entrees to get the best flavors and quality. I was very happy and satisfied with my meal and they were very friendly and accommodating for my requests, for extra chicken and extra vegetables. The waiter asked, "would you like the $1 or $2 extra option?" I responded, "the $2". The dish (Singapore Rice noodles), was fully loaded with broccoli, and chicken , in addition to shrimp and pork. I highly recommend them, and choosing the more traditional options (vs. General Gaus' chicken), for a real culinary treat!

I would like Chen's to be consistent. Sometimes the food is very good and sometimes it's just so so.

Food use to be great. Seems like covid hit and it gave the restaurant an excuse to make cheaper food. Gotta find a new place

Both entrees were so so. The potpie is a rather deconstructed and reconstructed item. It is very funny how they put the puff pastry down first then pour the filling out over top of it and you just eat the opened up sort of pie, not a big fan of the whole idea. Was fine for Just somewhat comfort food on a cold day. Then we tried the salmon dish which ended up being very fishy tasting. It was not edible, and disappointing, so they took it off of our bill. But I could hear others around us enjoying their piece of fish, but we just got a bad one. It happens, tho the manager said never had they had a bad fish before ... rather condescending but he made it right by removing the charge, while insulting us at the same time. All in all the history of this place is interesting. It's definitely the ladies that lunch crowd midweek seems very popular. The hotel has a gift shop, which is cute. It's nice to wander through and just see the place if you have nothing else to do like we did meandering that area of the Cape on the way to the glass museum.

Not divey, but you walk in and you're basically at the bar. There's bar seating, a few tables on the side, a few in the back. People were eating and drinking wherever. Service: Prompt, friendly. The bartender was the owner, chatting with a local about working where he lives and drinking while he works. But very friendly and open to visitors here. And no overwhelming Boston accent. If you're not local, you'll do fine. Food: OK, I was here on an impulse search for dessert. They happened to have fresh homemade donut holes to go, so I got some cinnamon dusted. And by dusted, I mean WHOA NELLY that's a lot! And the donut holes were also huge. And they came with warm caramel dipping sauce. I couldn't put it down. While I was waiting (again, didn't take long, they were just shaking the topping on in the back), I looked over and saw bar pies that honestly? To this North Jerseyan? Looked like good tasty pizza. In Massachusetts. You have been warned. If you stay on Route 25 to bypass Bourne on your way to or from the bridges, you're not just adding mileage to your car to save a little time. You're missing out on the best place in a country mile.
