We've been back from Cape Cod for about a month now and decided to share our experience. I was honestly surprised to see that their overall reviews don't reflect the true quality of the food we had. We were actually heading to Ring Brothers Marketplace when the aroma of Chinese food hit us. Right then, my brother suggested we get some fried rice to go with our barbecue meat for dinner. It was pure genius. The fried rice was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with our meal. We enjoyed it so much that we came back several nights later to pick up 5 entrées to share for dinner. Once again, they did not disappoint! Every dish was delicious, and the large portions were much appreciated. This is a small takeout operation. The ambience is minimal, but it's meant for takeout, so you shouldn't expect a fancy dine-in set up. What really stood out to us was the hard-working couple running the place. They ran an incredibly tight ship - the man works hard back in the kitchen while the woman takes the orders and carefully packs everything up. If you want great food and want to support a local business, don't let the lower rating deter you. Give them a try! read more

Stopped in for a menu, ordered 3 days later and was charged $4.00 more per item than the printed menu ($14.25 vs $10.25). Food was not flavorful and "chicken wing" side was two dried up pieces of the same (1) wing - phot attached. Not worth the price and food was not appetizing. read more

We usually order Chinese from Wok n' Roll, but they are closed on Tuesday, so we tried Quan. I got the Singapore noodles, which were fine, but we also got the beef with mushrooms and the Kung Pao chicken, which were not. The beef was chewy, and the Kung Pao was one of the worst I've had. Instead of using regularly cooked dark meat chicken, like in most Kung Pao chicken, they use fried chicken, which was too doughy and soggy. The woman running the front and helping with cooking was very friendly, but we will not be ordering from them again. read more

Quan kitchen has been my choice for take out food for several years. The chicken wings are large and perfectly deep fried, egg rolls are terrific, and I have been up and down the menu from general tso's to chop suey and other dishes featuring vegetables without ever being disappointed. read more

Fast and Delicious! Tried the sesame chicken plate and pork lo mein. Some of the best I've had in a long time, would definitely recommend!

Egg foo young is delicious- other menu items have been up and down on quality. My dad ran into the owner with a shopping cart full of chicken at bj's. Not bad food at all... and they try- but prices have gone up way too high for what you get. Scallion pancakes for $10? Greasy, thin, fried and 75% inedible with dried chives added. Bs. Not worth it for half of the menu items available- the other half are the best in town- but pick and choose wisely. You are going to waste money trying to get through the bad menu items or find your fav Chinese restaurant in town if you like and choose the correct items. Hit=score big time with delicious food at a reasonable price....or, miss=having to order elsewhere and throwing this food in the trash if you aren't satisfied. You're game. read more

This place used to be half decent but things have changed. We got Beef Lomein and half of the meat was tough and grisly. Very skimpy on the veggies as well. The Chicken Fingers were very doughy and not crispy at all. The boneless ribs were dried out and grease saturated. The Hot and Sour Soup was thin and again less of the goodies and red peppers we have had in the past. All in all, we are not going back because of the total drop in quality. I also have to disagree with the bad reviews. The food is fresh and quite tasty! I've seen actual crab in my crab Rangoon! I don't know what that picture is implying but I've been cooking all my life and I know what a grain of rice looks like. I've also been a Girl Scout and I know my bugs and that is not a bug! I'm hoping you were just looking for kudos because you have mastered the fork. Well bless your heart! Look, the food is good and the people who run this restaurant are extremely nice! While we waited for our food the older gentleman came out and gave us some Asian pears to snack on. We liked them so the next time we went he added some to our order at no charge. Our orders have never been messed up and we've always been happy to return to the restaurant over the years food good food at fair prices. The moo shu pancakes are amazing. They are light and thin and stretchy, very unlike the flour tortillas you often get. The family that owns this place is super friendly and hard working. They are also accommodating and will make veggie options if you'd like. Overall, it's a typical American-Chinese takeout joint with good prices and good options. read more

We vacation at the Cape every year and never really tried the Chinese food in the area. The Cape is not known for their Chinese food but we were pleasantly surprised after we are here. My husband was the last customer for the night so everything was made fresh and piping hot! Great service, kind people. They even gave me 2 free steak skewers that I discovered when I opened my dinner container. The rice was exactly as I like it, too. Being from out of state we are picky about where we go for Chinese. I want to love this place but cannot. I live part of the year 4 miles away so it would be SO great if this place was great. They usually mess up my order. Last week it was right but the food was horrid. I ordered pepper shrimp. It was 75% huge chopped onion. The sauce tasted like catsup. We recently retired to the mid- Cape area. We've sampled a few Chinese take out places and Quans is definitely the best in the area. The food is freshly made as you wait or order ahead. The menu is the usual fare but quality is quite good . We are originally from the Boston metro area and know good vs. mediocre Chinese food. read more

Quan Chinese Kitchen in the Ring Brothers/Harney's Plaza on Route 134 in South Dennis, MA is the best Chinese food in the mid-Cape area. Compared to Quan, I find other places' food tastes stale, too salty and overcooked. Not Quan! Their food tastes fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. They are friendly and efficient there, and have your food ready quickly. I'm so glad they are now re-opened (with new "social distance" shields in place) since they had to close last spring due to covid. Ordered takeout and when I arrived to pick it up, the woman at the register said $70. Kinda strange to be exactly an even amount like that, but okay, maybe she was just rounding a few cents off. Grabbed a menu on the way out to see if prices had changed since I picked up the last one. When I got home I added up the items in my order to about $57 not $70. I'm done with them after last night. The food itself would be a 2 star, you know, I don't expect much from Chinese food on the Cape. From phone order to actually getting my food was almost an hour last night. If there is a wait, you need to tell people ahead of time. I figured the usual 15 minutes, and got there then. Busy? This place is really close to where I live so it would be convenient if it was great. I ordered wonton soup, the broth was mostly soy sauce and had lettuce in it. No mushrooms or green onions. Quan. Quen. Queen. Although Quan is not quite king yet, they are indeed the crowned queen of Chinese food in Dennis Massachusetts. As our car tires rolled into a vacant parking spot outside of Quan Chinese food, we could hardly contain our exuberance for this delectable foreign food. Peering through the translucent windows of the establishment, we saw a jolly man beckoning us inside. The warm welcoming convinced us to pursue the path ahead. Inside our noses were bombarded with the exotic fragrances of nourishment wafting through the air. Approaching the counter, the man's mouth twitched into an upward waning crescent. We told him we were there be graced by our purchased chow. We were impressed by how placidly he handed it over. Radiating satisfaction, we glided to the exit. As we stepped out, the man bided us adieu. We drove home, exceeding the speed limit by three times, trying to minimize the time and distance in which the food would then be gracefully shoved into our food holes.
