One can have a cozy booth or table experience or an at the bar experience here. We sat at a table and the chairs had comfortable padded seats. Our citrus mocktail was quite refreshing and tasty. The meal we had was a unique and flavorful fusion of Asian and Mexican spices and ingredients. I think the guacamole was the best I've ever eaten at any restaurant! Anease was our waiter and was phenomenal! He called us by our first names and was always quick to get us a fresh drink from the bar, remembering what we were drinking. We had a very nice experience here.

Amazing service, delicious food, great ambiance. I ordered the cucumber salad and my husband ordered the street tacos. The Frijoles Charros (served on the side with his street tacos) were absolutely delicious!

Our party of four really enjoyed our meal here. We came to eat dinner on a Friday night and were brought straight back to a table. I loved the interior decor. The restaurant was very clean and our server was great! He explained the menu and gave us helpful recommendations. We ordered the spring rolls and potstickers for appetizers. The spring rolls were perfect and my father in-law ate all of the potstickers. For entrees we ordered the Thai shrimp curry, the Mongolian steak, the lobster ramen, and the chicken chow mein. All meals were delicious, but we especially liked the steak and the curry. (As a note, all entrees are meant to be shared.). The reason for the 4 stars is because the chicken chow mein and the lobster ramen were the exact same dish except for the protein. If it's the same dish then call it by one name and just give an option of proteins. Other than that, I would definitely go back!

The decorations and cleanliness is a 5. The server was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The food was too spicy for most people in the party. The steak tacos were bland until you hit the sauce and it's overwhelming. The fried rice (chicken) was mushy and absolutely lacked taste. I also tried the queso dip and the dipping wontons were good. I would never spend my own money to eat here and tried it because of the comps. Absent having the casino give you the food, save your money and try a restaurant that specializes in Asian food and doesn't have an identity crisis.

The only reason we dined here was because we had comps. It would've been even more disappointing if we had to pay out of pocket. The food presentation was good however none of the food was good at all. If you don't like spicy food, then definitely avoid this place. Most of the food was spicy. They got carried away with sauces on everything. The BBQ buns were not what we expected and the food colored pork was awful. The pork belly was dry. The beef empanadas didn't have much beef. The servers tried but they were slow and not very attentive. The ambiance was fine and the restaurant was clean.

The Hubby and I wanted to grab a quick dinner before seeing a show at the Genesee Theater. I decided to check out the American Place Casino located nearby the Theater. We were not aware of protocols for visiting a Casino and were slightly surprised to see that there is a security check for bags and an ID is scanned into their computer by a security guard. No worries, it took just a few minutes. The Asia Azteca restaurant is located way in the back of the Casino. We had reservations but, they were not really needed. The restaurant had only a handful of diners. Overall, the restaurant is very large with tall ceilings. It is casual dining and combines Asian and Mexican cuisine. The decor was minimal, mostly Asian. We were not very hungry and decided to share a few appetizers, which arrived one after another, Tapas style: Empanadas w/chimichurri sauce, Beef Skewers and the steamed pork buns. Everything was basic food, not bad but not high quality. Which was totally fine. The one OOPS which happened, I ordered a dirty martini and a glass of water with a lemon slice. I got the water and the martini but, the Bar Tender added lemon to the dirty martini? It was a weird combination. We gave Asia Azteca a try overall, there are other Asian and Mexican local restaurants with better food quality, a little less in price, larger quantities and you don't have to go through a security line to get to the restaurant.

Unfortunately, this is the worst food I have eaten in a casino, and they should consider removing them as a restaurant within the casino. I ordered the Lechon Pork Belly Fried and complained the rice was tough, which means it was not cooked. I asked the manager and told him about my issue of undercooked food. The manager (who I was later told was the supervisor, even though I asked for a manager) asked how they could make it right. I stated I wanted the same dish but appropriately cooked. The manager brought back the same dish, and it was again undercooked rice. The actual real manager came and apologized. I put the rice on his hand and told him to squeeze the rice; that it was hard and impossible to squeeze and one would need to swallow the hard rice. Hire real cooks or have an authentic restaurant in the casino. On a good note, the ambiance and decorations are beautiful. Just junk, uncooked food.

Asia-Azteca is a modern fusion restaurant, which I recommend to anyone who wishes to have a great time. The experience offered by the staff is unique and extraordinary. In addition, the servers are friendly, the bartender very knowledgeable about a variety of drinks and the managers are attentive and hospitable. I love this place, thanks for the great service and food.

The steam baskets were removed from our table pretty quickly after they were emptied. Plenty of parking here and the restaurant wasn't too crowded yet, early on a Monday. I appreciated the sturdy chopsticks for use as well as a fork as needed, but a knife would be helpful too, for the crispy greens. I completely agree that this isn't authentic chinese food, but approachable fusion that tries to keep it truthful to the flavors and presentation. The highlight of the meal was the peking duck, which they only have about 2 orders of a night. We snagged it immediately when we sat down and it can easily feed 4 people with the sides. The duck was juicy and cut into thick pieces, so it was more of a steak rather than a bao style that I am used to. Nevertheless, it was delicious and even warmed up well the next day. The green onion wraps were...strange in my opinion. They fell apart easily and didn't have the best flavor that complemented the duck. Overall, I would come back for the duck itself, but everything else was average or extra salty. Service was great and the staff are very attentive. Happy eating!

The vibe: It was packed at 7:15 PM on a Sunday, and they held firmly to our reservation time--which is understandable given the crowd. We took a nice stroll while waiting, so no harm done. Once seated, the service was excellent--attentive, prompt, and professional. The food: This is clearly high-end Americanized Chinese food, not authentic regional cuisine. If you go in expecting that, you'll have a better experience. The menu reads like a "greatest hits" collection--familiar dishes done with nicer ingredients and presentation. What worked well: Smashed Cucumber - A strong start. The cilantro and bean sprouts were exceptionally fresh, and the peanut finish added nice depth, though the sauce leaned a bit salty for my taste. Service and atmosphere - polished and efficient. What fell short for me: Wonton Soup - The wrappers were thicker than I prefer; I like a more delicate, translucent skin. The leek-based broth was pleasant, though. Salt & Pepper Cod - The seasoning was good, but the cod pieces were too thick, so the center remained bland. Halving the thickness would improve the texture. Mongolian Beef - Tender meat, but I wanted thicker cuts and larger onion pieces for more bite. It leaned a bit soggy for my preference. Rice Cake with Pork Belly - Pork belly was well-executed, but too many rice cakes overwhelmed the dish. The flavor leaned Korean (almost kimchi-like), which felt like a departure from the rest of the menu. Beef Chow Fun - Felt repetitive, using the same thin-sliced beef and bean sprouts as other dishes. I'd prefer charred broad rice noodlesthat are thin. These rice sticks were wide and thick,so like the cod, the center of the rice sticks were bland. I also preferred more eggs in this dish for variety. The overall pattern: Many dishes share similar ingredients and sauce profiles, which makes sense for a busy kitchen but does reduce variety across the meal. Bottom line: If you're looking for authentic, nuanced Chinese cooking, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a polished, upscale version of familiar Chinese-American favorites in a great location, with reliable service, Dan Dan delivers that well. I personally wouldn't return, but I can see why it's popular--especially for the crowd that wants comfort food in a nicer setting.

Thankfully, Phat Phat stepped in to fill that gap. We drove 30 miles for a late lunch around 2:30 p.m. to hopefully beat the crowds. There's a huge parking lot in the back, the building itself is incredibly unique, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. It feels modern while still being warm and inviting. We wanted to try a variety of dishes, so we ordered two baskets of the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, the Enoki Mushroom appetizer, Chicken Fried Rice, Phat Phat Chicken, Nasi Campur, and finished the meal with the Mango Sago. Everything was incredible. The soup dumplings definitely filled the void that Din Tai Fung left behind. Every dish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The Mango Sago was the perfect palate cleanser and a refreshing way to end the meal on a hot summer day. The standout for me was the Enoki Mushroom appetizer. That will be a must-order every time we come back. We also have Indonesian family and have visited Bali, so we were excited to try the Nasi Campur. It was spot on.
