Original Breakfast Sandwich

Whether you're dining in or doing take out, Ashley's is well worth the wait. I get my food and drinks delivered; by the time the food items arrive, it's still pretty warm. The original breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel with egg, cheese, and bacon is quite delicious. The home fries that come with it are seasoned to my liking. There's no holding back with the amount of bacon put on there which is nice...bacon is yummy and they cook it nice and crispy. Their California Eggs Benedict is my favorite because the avocado and hollandaise sauce pair well together. Definitely getting that again! I love a good chicken salad sandwich and omg, Ashley's has a very tasty one! I get it on occasion. I've never been disappointed. I didn't know for a while that they make crepes! I had their strawberry and nutella crepe once and I'll have to go back again for it because it's a large portion, the crepe is how it should be made, and I love that they don't hold back on toppings! I love a good French Toast order. I decided to try the Bavarian Stuffed French Toast...holy cow! I've never had theirs and I'm telling you, it's perfect. I like the crunch from the toast, the fruit and Bavarian cream to me might be my new dessert choice. Everything including the syrup harmonizes well. If you want an omelette, get one here. I have only had their steak and cheese omelette. Wow!! Flavorful and what a wonderful portion. It's held well together for a steak and cheese omelette. As for drinks, I have few favorites. Their mango iced tea has mango chunks in it...so yummy! I love love love passion fruit ever since I was a kid, and their passion fruit drink is satisfying and I believe fizzy which is a plus! Their iced coffee is strong, but not overpowering. I love the taste of their coffee.

This is the place that made me fall in love with going out for breakfast!! I've been coming here since I was a teenager. The food, the decor and possibly the waitstaff remain the same after all these years. I always get the "big breakfast" which is a little bit of everything. Eggs over easy are cooked perfectly, bacon is thin and crispy, pancakes are large and fluffy, sausage is delicious and homes fries are some of the best I've ever had - so well seasoned and flavorful. Portion sizes are huge and prices are more than reasonable. You will leave here feeling full and satisfied without putting a dent in your wallet. Go check them out!

Hash Benedict with home fries. Also got their iced coffee delivered. Delicious!

I love Ashley's! Food is always on point. My favorite thing is the corned beef hash. Whether it be in the hash Benedict or just a regular breakfast plate with toast and eggs, it's delicious! Coffee is also great. Home fries as very well seasoned and always throughly cooked which I appreciate! I've ordered from Uber Eats and Door Dash and appreciate this packaging to ensure food arrives in great conditions.

I was pretty happy here. Trying to support local during the pandemic, so I called in my breakfast sandwich. It was ready in 15 minutes and was delicious! The staff was wearing masks, they had outdoor seating and indoor seating looked to be appropriately spaced out. The staff was friendly even though she seemed to be the only person working. Would definitely go here again!

Things that Granite Street Cafe had going for it which won them our visit:…read more 1) They were open early. 7am - 2pm, every day. We wanted to be somewhere by 8am, so that worked for us. 2) They have a parking lot, just past the intersection, after the building on Water Street. Okay, this was more of a bonus for us, at least initially, but when I got there and saw the streets around them, I even more appreciated it. There's also an entry from the parking lot, but it isn't particularly clearly marked. I read about it on someone else's review, and got there first, so I had time to meander. But is the metal staircase closest to the sidewalk. There was a single waitress, which meant service wasn't the quickest. But she was nice and knew her regular by name. The booths had clear plastic (or glass... I didn't touch them to verify) dividers - perhaps due to the pandemic and social distancing, perhaps not, but I liked them and they seemed a part of the original booths, rather then an after thought. We split a sweet and a savory - double strawberry pancakes (3 pancakes with both berries cooked in, and strawberry compote, whipped cream on the side) $12.50, and Granite Street Benedict (with corned beef hash) $14.50. The sweet was surprisingly not too sweet, while the savory was a bit too salty. We weren't hurried along or anything. And they take both cash or credit.

The menu offers a great variety, with a mix of both sweet and savory items, that are able to appease anyone coming in. I always look forward to seeing what new seasonal items they have. I swear theres always something new and appetizing every time we come in. I also really appreciate the sweet server who gifted our party of 6 roses during my friend's bachelorette. We so happened to have our brunch with the bride-to-be on Mother's Day, and despite how busy the staff was, they made an effort to extend kindness and make our friend feel special. Yazs deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond in everything they do.

I'm not sure how well they would navigate but allergies as there is Nutella and pistachio on menu. I'd be reluctant. Ordered, received coffee pretty quickly but didn't receive food until 12:12 pm....No pressure here. I don't find this message on the table welcoming at all. I definitely don't love it. Welcome but hurry up and leave, lol. It's in poor taste in my opinion. I've never seen this before in a restaurant and probably wouldn't be likely to return given this makes patrons feel rushed and I drove an hour, out of state to visit. It kinda says our time is more valuable than yours when you limit patrons to an hour but give them 20 minutes to eat and eff off. My mom had the garden bene and she really enjoyed it. I had the banana Nutella foster French toast. Portions are really huge. You can easily split them. Lattes are really good too. Our server was very kind and attentive. A little pricy for brunch. Our bill came to 52.50 and I wasn't able to use a visa gift card which was strange. Luckily I had my credit card. Overall it was pretty good. Would I return to feel rushed for expensive brunch, probably not.

The outdoor area is inviting, and inside there's a great mix of low-top tables, high-tops, bar seating, and cozy spots to settle into. Everything feels thoughtfully spread out, and I loved being able to see the open brick oven and activity in the kitchen. The space also has a bit of a bakery/café vibe, making it feel like a place where you could stop in for a quick grab-and-go item or stay awhile for a full meal. The staff made a great impression too. The people at the front were incredibly helpful to my guest, who was having some trouble with their phone. I also ordered one of the specialty drinks but asked for it without alcohol. The bartender absolutely nailed it--it was so good that my only complaint was that it didn't come in a bigger glass. For food, I had the grass-fed burger and fries (see photo), and it exceeded my expectations. The burger was so juicy and flavorful that I ended up cutting it into pieces just to make it manageable. Every bite was delicious. What I appreciate most is that I left feeling like I hadn't even experienced everything the restaurant has to offer. I already want to go back, choose a different seat, and enjoy a completely different perspective of the space. Honestly, it feels like the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon. This is your sign, visit now!
