Clarissa took on the challenge and made me feel at ease. She also saved so much of my hair and gave me a wonderful cut. Her patience and understanding was very much appreciated and I am so pleased with the result. I will definitely be going back (and my boyfriend will be, too!) Thank you, Clarissa!

However, this last time they messed up on my hair. For the first day my girlfriend couldn't stop laughing lol. As you can see in the photo, it is very uneven in the back. I tried calling to see if I could come back in the week to get it fixed. Their number seems to always go to voicemail and their VM says for a quicker response to send a text message. I did just that. Explaining what happened, showing a picture and asking if I could come back. 0 response and it's been 2 weeks since then.

She asked excellent clarifying questions. She worked slowly and carefully. She paid attention to individual locks, getting them to fall just the right way. I had made one mistake -- I hadn't asked what the haircut was going to cost. I'm used to a haircut (including the post-cut styling) taking 30 minutes. As Sara went past the 30-minute mark and then past the 60-minute mark, I started to wonder: What is this going to cost me? $200? $300? More? After 90 minutes, she was finally done. The result was fantastic! Exactly like the photos I had shown her, and very, very flattering. I asked how much I owed her, and she said just $60! I even asked, "Are you sure?," but I certainly wasn't going to argue with her. I made sure to make another appointment with her before I left. I'm a little reluctant to tell the world what a great experience I had, because I'm afraid Sara will get all booked up and/or raise her prices! But fair is fair, she did a terrific job and I recommend her highly.

I booked a last minute appointment and Isabella was my stylist. I showed up 10 minutes early and she was ready for me. She made sure to offer the two shampoos and she did a great job! I am a fan of the Southern Belle (Southern Comfort) with pin curls to hold the style and she was ready. She sectioned off my hair and made sure every section was perfectly dry. She used the products in the yellow bottle for volume and the pink bottle for detangler. She sprayed my pin curls for the humidity (Austin is still too hot and humid). She finished off by doing a light finger toss on my curls and finished off with a few spritz of their amazing hairspray. So let me tell you how long it has lasted so far - I walked 5 minutes back to the hotel, then we had dinner at the Four seasons and that required a short walk to the cyber cab that missed our pickup point, then we walked to Rainey Street for Oktoberfest and then we walked back to our hotel. It's Sunday and I don't have to worry about my hair being ready for Monday morning because my hair still has the curls and the style!! Plus- it smells great. Thank you Isabella for doing such a great job and I am so glad I made an appointment for my Saturday date night! I told the stylist I needed volume and explained that I have fine, curly hair, so I paid extra for a treatment to keep it from frizzing. Great, I was super excited! Then I went outside and got an Uber to protect my hair from the extreme humidity, headed to the Line Hotel (if you look it up, it's not far by car). I got up to the room where everyone was getting ready -- I was there for my niece's wedding. Within moments, my hair was completely straggly. It looked greasy. It looked horrible, and we had to get in a car in about 15 minutes. Thankfully, my friend was available -- she'd already had her hair and makeup done -- and she redid every single piece of my hair for me. When I called in a panic, all I was told was to come back. Well, weddings don't wait for their guests -- I had no opportunity to come back. They then offered for me to come back the next day, which would have been of no value to me for two reasons: I was getting on a plane, and the wedding would be over. I got a return call on Monday, which was kind of the manager. However, the only thing they offered me was a $15 credit to a place I'll never return to, since I don't live in Austin, Texas. If someone called me back and told me their hair had completely fallen, my first instinct would be, "Of course we'll give you a refund" -- but not this place. So if you're thinking about getting your hair done at Drybar: they're usually absolutely amazing, but I'd proceed with caution given other people's experiences. I'm sorry to have to say this, but I've truly never been so disappointed in customer service as I was on Monday, when I learned that the over $100 I spent wasn't going to be refunded -- even though my hair ended up looking beautiful, thanks to my friend, not Drybar. Do better.
