I like that they got me in for an appointment fairly quickly and Anna is very thoughtful and thorough with her work and how she treats her clients. I went in for a scalp detox because in the analysis it looked like my hair follicles were being choked and suffocating lol so when I came in they gave a deeper analysis before and after the detox experience. She was detailed and took me through each part of the process and it was relaxing as well. She always made sure I was comfortable and offered a complimentary beverage. I chose some soothing hot tea. The scalp detox really made a difference! Before she even showed me the before and after, I can already see my scalp looked healthier. I was very satisfied with the results and enjoyed the whole experience and I was educated on further daily care for my scalp and hair. I recommend this place and this particular service. Give it a try and you wont regret it. Im glad I decided to make that appointment.

I have curly hair and had an appointment with Mickey the owner. I have never enjoyed a hair appointment as much as I did that day. I felt I was heard and understood when it came to my request for my hair. I had gone to several other scientists in the city and was not really happy with the results. I understand curly hair is not the easiest to work with, therefore finding a stylist like Mickey or a salon like Swoon is a treasure. Not only did I receive amazing service, I was not pushed to buy products. I purchased products because I was low on certain items but no one pressured me into making a purchase. On the contrary the owner Mickey said she doesn't like to be wasteful, and if we have products at home still she encourages us to wait until they're done. Of course she recommends products of quality. I am just very excited, appreciative, and grateful to have found a stylist that knows how to cut curly hair. Before even styling it I love the way the haircut looked. I had never felt that way about any haircut in my entire life. Before I left the salon I had already scheduled my next appointment. You won't regret going to the salon. All of the stylus not just Mickey or talented, professional, and definitely know what they're doing!

I tried this salon just because I liked the vibe. And I'm very happy I did!…read more I needed a haircut. Sara was my stylist. I showed her some photos of the cut I wanted. She asked excellent clarifying questions. She worked slowly and carefully. She paid attention to individual locks, getting them to fall just the right way. I had made one mistake -- I hadn't asked what the haircut was going to cost. I'm used to a haircut (including the post-cut styling) taking 30 minutes. As Sara went past the 30-minute mark and then past the 60-minute mark, I started to wonder: What is this going to cost me? $200? $300? More? After 90 minutes, she was finally done. The result was fantastic! Exactly like the photos I had shown her, and very, very flattering. I asked how much I owed her, and she said just $60! I even asked, "Are you sure?," but I certainly wasn't going to argue with her. I made sure to make another appointment with her before I left. I'm a little reluctant to tell the world what a great experience I had, because I'm afraid Sara will get all booked up and/or raise her prices! But fair is fair, she did a terrific job and I recommend her highly.

The salon is thoughtfully decorated and was giving boho vibes. Upon check-in, they asked if I parked in the garage since they have a parking validation QR code, and if I wanted anything to drink. I was surprised they offered wine, and the white wine I got was the perfect level of sweetness for me. After being seated, Abby came over and started our consultation, asking me what I had in mind and gave me recommendations on my bangs. I have thin, flat hair, so we went with a long layered hairstyle with curtain bangs. Afterwards, she walked me to the back to the shampoo area. Like everyone else, I loved the shampoo area--it's dark green and moody with chill music and fake plants hanging from the ceiling, so you feel like you're laying in nature. It's super tranquil, especially when the scalp massage starts. I liked the Davines products they used; my scalp had a light tingling sensation and felt really clean, and the all-in-one milk made my hair smell so good. We walked back to the chair and she confirmed the length before she started cutting away. She took her time, making sure both sides were even. When she was close to finishing, she asked me how I wanted my hair styled. I went with the blowout since it was quicker and it looked like the reference pictures I showed her. Abby knows how to work a round brush with the Dyson blow dryer and really accentuated all the layers she gave me. It was pouring when I was done with my haircut, so they were nice enough to let me out through the back door that leads to the garage where my husband picked me up. Note: Metropolis charges you the moment you drive through, so scan the validation QR code before you leave or inform Golden Soul Salon and they will waive the fee.
