Awful customer service to me. I went with my daughter to do a mother-daughter mani/pedi and while Tiffany was GREAT with my daughter, the gentleman that serviced me was awful. He acted like he was drunk, was way too forceful with the massage during the pedicure, gave me a hard time when I wanted to be seated next to my young daughter- saying that his chair was in the row behind my daughter's nail technician's chair and that my daughter is fine. I repeated that I will sit next to my daughter and he was visibly and verbally upset. He mumbled in a different language and sneered, almost like he was trying to intimidate me. I should have refused to allow him to continue his service, but for my daughter's sake and the sake of our mother-daughter date, I remained seated next to her and he brought his tools over to do my manicure. The worst part of this entire experience was while he was doing my manicure, he starts speaking in broken English about how dangerous Baltimore is and how the gangsters in Baltimore are all Black and a Black man shot his friend in the face. He said he has to watch his back because of the "Black man in Baldmorr". He said all of this in front of my daughter, who was visibly disturbed and probably scared. Not one employee did or said anything to make him stop speaking so recklessly. And last, he kept getting his OWN fingers caught in the nail drill bit! The man was drunk, racist and rude. Horrible customer service and horrible management because they did nothing about his speech or behavior. Worst mother-daughter outing I've had and will never go back and I do not recommend. They took my husband and I as walk-ins for a pedicure and we were in the chairs immediately! At first I was worried because they seemed busy but happy for the quick service! They gave us some waters, asked us a few questions then went to work! The massage and pedicure were amazing for me. My husband has very ticklish feet and his person was nice and gentle, which gave him an enjoyable experience! 10/10 would recommend this place to friends and family!! read more

First, I noticed he didn't used a clear powder as a base coat. Second, he shaped all my nails crooked. Third, the nail bed are flat and bumpy areas. Never ever spoke up or just left without being done, but this time did. Firstly, i called and made my appointment. Got there and waited an hour until i got seated and even then waited longer. Others were coming in and getting sat down immediately, i guess appointments dont matter here. Secondly, #14 did my nails and pedicure, got acrylic on my toe nails and doesnt look any different than what i walked in with, I left crying. I stand by my previous review BUT Arundel Nails is under new management. And deserves a new, up to date review and rating. Most of the previous nail techs have moved on. My favorite nail tech from a nearby competitor has recently moved here. Evelyn...I absolutely love her! She does a wonderful job. Doesn't rush and doesn't pressure for an upsell! Prices are still on the higher end but considering the Arundel Mills area, they're on par with most every other salon. If you're in the area, stop in and ask for Evelyn. My experience today was the absolute worst. The tech cut my real nails very short and when trying to address it she kept over talking me. Instead of owning the fact that she was in her phone and not paying attention to what I was saying, she justified what happened and then the service got worst. I came here on a whim and was not disappointed. The first thing they did that let me know this was going to be good...When I walked to the pedicure chair, they put in a plastic lining (see pic). I've never seen that before. It guaranteed me a clean tub to soak in. Throughout they were intentional about using fresh and clean material. I had Tee (a man) as my tech. I genuinely don't want anyone else to do my feet but him. This man's attention to details was uncanny. He is very thorough and meticulous about getting all the dead skin. There was no half assing. When I told him that I only wanted a pedicure, Tee did not try to upsale me. He didn't harasss me about eye brows or a manicure. He said okay and got to work. There wasn't much conversation which was beautiful. I was able to genuinely relax. Tee was thorough yet gentle. He didn't pinch me, dig too hard or was over aggressive. When it was time for my nails to be painted, they didn't skimp on polish. You know how the shops do. Smh. Here they put a base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat. I loved it. Their pedicure menu is extensive. It's actually a book. I got the deluxe scrub ($37) that included a sugar rub, leg mask, and hot towel treatment. Divine. Well worth the price. Check them out. I went to get a mani and pedi today. Of course they want you to get gel mani and pedi. But I didn't. I got the basic. Since I got a basic mani and pedi, I felt I was treated as I wasn't worth being there. He did not even take the time to clean the polish from around my toe nails or finger nails. He didn't even put cuticle oil my nails when he did my mani. He didn't massage my hands. Nothing. And when I mentioned to the lady up front. She didn't care either. I was greeted right away when walking in and requested a sns manicure. They told me to have a seat and pick a color. So to remove the sns polish that was currently on my nails the nail tech drilled the top layer off then stuck my hands in a bowl of acetone for about10 mins before drilling off another layer. Now I stopped getting gel polish because this removal process makes my natural nail too thin. She never placed my hands in the bowl of water (which a proper manicure cannot be done without). The lady went on to buff at my cuticles and then started to apply the sns. The end result is fresh polish with visible dry cuticles and basically a waste of money. The shape is awful too. No uniformity. I'll be sticking with my usual nail salon after this. read more

I was in immediate need of a pedicure and couldn't get to my usual place. I stopped in here because it was close to my home. The pedicure chairs seemed low so I couldn't get my legs too comfortable - I was either sitting back too far or up too close when I tried to adjust the chair. They do line the foot sink with a big plastic liner before they start the water but who knows if the liner is brand new or reused? The woman who did my pedicure did try to upsell me (fill, eyebrows, etc) - a couple of times - but I just kept saying "no thank you I'm going to my regular person for that". The pedicure seemed adequate but then upon closer examination I realized my toe nails were all different lengths and cut at different angles?!?! read more

I specifically choose this salon based on their photos and reviews. I walked in and asked for a dip powder manicure. The male tech immediately said gel is better and stronger. I said no thank you i would like dip powder. He proceeds to file halfway the dip powder off of my nails. I choose a color from the swatches he provided and he came back with gel polish. He started to put the gel polish over my old dip powder which was an entirely different color. I was so confused. I said told him again that I wanted only dip powder. So he grabs a bowl and slopingly pours a bunch of acetone as to soak my nails. I was like whoa killer slow you're roll there. I asked for a simple design and he said can't do. Ok no problem. Then he says "oh $15 extra for the dip powder removal" on top of the $50 manicure. Wow that has never happened. The removal of my current polish has alway been included. Then he negotiates and say ok just $10. Oh my lord. Then he charged me $5 for filing my nails. WTF!! Then he wanted to skimp on the dip powder coats and said only 2. I said because I have long nails I need 3-4 coats. Most techs know this and would never do just 2 coats of dip powder. Well not sorry to say they have lost my business for good. This place sucks.
