I went here based on all the Yelp reviews today to get an ombré acrylic full set done. I was a little hesitant to come here because I've seen most of the other nail shops work in Stockton and didn't feel too impressed by the quality of their ombré nails. The shop is in the small plaza behind where Swagat & Lollicup are located. I walked into the shop (be sure to make an appointment! They try to take walk-ins when they're not busy but since they're a fairly new salon they don't have many available nail techs always on hand). Karina was my nail tech and she was so lovely. She was a great conversationalist and she made me feel comfortable while doing my nails. She was gentle with her filing and today was the first time I didn't walk out of a salon with a cut on my cuticle or the side of my fingers which was a plus. Nail techs can cut you when they're being a little aggressive with the filing. I asked for a nude acrylic ombré and Karina took the time to make sure all of them were blended nicely. She also made it very easy to communicate with when I mentioned I wanted some things to be filed in more/straightened. My full set was $60 and it was such a great set & truly worth the money. Will be making this place my go to salon in Stockton! I love my nails and I'm glad Karina could make my nail dreams happen. read more

I contacted the nail tech I booked with and the salon on their individual Instagram accounts to see when my appointment would be confirmed on their end. I booked my appointment on Tuesday and it is now Saturday and I haven't received confirmation. I think confirmations should be provided fairly soon (1-2 days) after making the appointment so that one can find other accommodations, if need be. I messaged the nail tech to get an ETA, she viewed my message and never responded. I messaged the salon account, they responded to my "When" question, with a "Yes". I took it upon myself to cancel the appointment and will be seeking services with another salon and tech. If per the salon policy, I am required to put my card information down for the appointment, I think it's fair to expect communication from the salon in a prompt and clear manner. read more

They has been a new posting effective July 1, 2018.... I think the owner failed to mention her after hours policy, as she failed to notify me. I had been getting my nails done with Mayra since February... I was pretty happy with my nails aside for the fact the two of my nails were always lifting within a week and a half but I still came back. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when I was charged and "after hours fee". What makes me feel cheated is the fact that this "policy" is not written anywhere, not on her Instagram, posted in the shop, nor is it on her new policy effective July 1st. I see the zero tolerance on missed appointments and the no kids but nothing about her after hour rule. 90% of the times that I went to get my nails done, my appointments were always after 4pm. In fact, sometimes she would text me pushing my appointments back to a later time. My last two appointments were a little higher than normal. I asked for the break down and she said, that my fill was $35 and she charges a $15 fee for after hours. NEVER had she mention this to me before and never had she charged me the "after hours" fee. So ladies for those of you who work or can't make your appointments until after 4pm be prepared to pay an additional $15 on top of your nail service and tip. Had this been an established rule or if she would have at least let me know there is a fee for any appointment made after 4pm then it would have been my choice to pay $15 more on top of what I already knew I would pay. #stayhumble read more

I go here all the time and LOVE IT. But, this last time not so much. They changed my appointment last minute, I went with someone who was very rough and didnt make my nails as short as I wanted. On top, they started completely over charging with this new year. I get everyone wants to get paid but I didn't spend 55 for something I didn't really like with an artist who was unpunctual and didnt even do as I wanted. I made an appointment about 2 weeks out it was easy to do on yelp and I had to call and reschedule which was also easy. There is only two people in the shop and I do not know the girl who did my nails name as she did not tell me it. The salon is nice and new and the decorations are nice though I'm not such a fan of the food tubs but overall my pedicure came out good. The environment was ok the girl who did my nails was quiet and did not talk much I did ask for her opinion on my nail choice and she was helpful. But I did not feel very welcomed. I also had a gel manicure and she did stripes on my nails, which she recommended when I asked her for design ideas. The stripes are now peeling off the day after which I am not happy about as it messes up the whole look and is annoying. I'm giving 2 stars because of the design coming off of my nail and I don't have time to go back in and will have to pay someone else to fix it. My nail lady was out of town and I will most likely look elsewhere when finding a replacement. Maybe when they are more established I will try again. read more

I have been to many nail techs and I must say this place is by far the best I've been to! Mayra was very professional and did exactly what design I had in mind. Good prices as well. I liked the fact it was a one on one meaning your not waiting to be seen as you would in other shops. She gets booked fast so you have to book in advance. I found this salon on Instagram and made a 9am appointment with Bridgette. I showed up 5 minutes early and waited 20-25 minutes for her since she was running late but when she finally arrived for my appointment I didn't get an apology or anything. She didn't even recognize the fact that she showed up late. Just told everyone else that she didn't feel good and was having a bad morning. But she was talking so much that she seemed fine to me which I usually don't mind because that's normal , I know everyone likes having a conversation to make the time go by faster but she obviously couldn't multitask because she would stop every time and when she would turn back to work on my nails she would have to scrape off the acrylic because it had dried and restart ( I had sculpted nails done instead of nail tips). But she did this MORE THAN ONCE , she restarted OVER AND OVER . She got up twice to go to the bathroom and would stop and talk to people before she came back. This is definitely the WORST appointment I've ever had with anyone . I'm the most patient person ever and my time was totally wasted and she didn't care. She wasn't paying attention half the time so my nails have bubbles in the acrylic and they're crooked ! And I can tell she noticed it too and she tried to file it down more on the other side to even it out so it ended up noticeably thinner and definitely far from straight. I paid 60$ and it was not worth it. I'll never come back and I would never recommend her to anyone else. read more

I made an appt with one of the girls here. First timer. Came in. Was greeted. Whole Shabang. I arrived 10 minutes early. Waited. No biggie right? The owner Myra let me know Ruby the girl my appt was with had a client but was "almost done" I was like okay sure not a problem. I don't mind waiting 5-10 minutes longer. However I look over to her and it seemed to me she had just started. But I didn't say anything, I just waited. 10 minutes passed. 30. 45. At that point I walked out & went to Marshall's and shopped for a bit. Mind you none of these girls said ANYTHING to me. I came back. Still waited. So an hour & maybe 15-20 minutes later she's done. At that point I was PISSED! For you to lie & say she's almost done when clearly you knew she had just sat with her is insane. So unprofessional. If you would've told me the truth and said she was running behind, she came in late....WHATEVER it was I feel I should've been told & I would've understood 100%. Life happens. So I sit with the girl and she finally apologized. Lol first time she said ANYTHING to me. I know you guys are probably thinking "why the fuck would you wait so long?" I try to be understanding people! I work in customer service as a banker. I deal with a lot. So I try to be understanding of situations. She looks at my nails & asked who did them. I said it was done at another salon. So she goes "oh we can't work on other people's work because of the products they use" so can y'all imagine at that point? I was LIVID. My bitchy side came out & it takes a lot for that to happen LOL. Long story short, mayra made an exception for her to do my nails. For the price, TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE WAIT, quality of work or spending any money here. Yeah Mayra was nice enough to offer me something to drink as I was getting my nails done. & 5$ off my service for the wait time. Idk maybe I was just unlucky that day. But I will definitely not be returning. I'll stick to Lima Beauty Lounge. That's what I get for trying new places. ‍ read more
