Second time trying Galaxy Nails. It's a nice and clean salon. All the techs are so friendly and make you feel welcome. Mindy did my pedicure both times. She is very sweet, thorough and the massages are nice! I did gel polish with chrome on tips and toes. Basic Pedi is $30 , Gel fill $40 + $5 for gel polish and $10 extra for the chrome for each the pedi and the gel fill. Total was $100 + $2.50 to use a credit/debt card. The tech that did my gel fill was very friendly and took care in making sure I was happy with the length and shape of my nails. Very easy communication and scheduling was a breeze. What a hidden gem! I was in desperate need of a fill and wanted to try a new place. So glad I came across Galaxy Nails. I called in advance to see if there was any availability and they were able to have me come right in. Dallas was my nail tech and she did such a great job. She was so nice and took her time working on my nails. I have a broken index finger and the acrylic prior fell off. She had no problem doing an overlay and acrylic on it. And was very polite when she asked what happened which I appreciate since I'm insecure about it. So that's just customer service aspect of my review and like I mentioned it is great. I love my nails so much. They had the biggest selection of nail colors that I've ever seen ( NO JOKE) which I absolutely loved. I needed to go shorter length and Dallas did an awesome job with making my nails shorter as well as shaping. I definitely believe I found my new go to nail shop for sure. My nails feel durable. I've given other places 5 stars as well but they ended up lifting or the gel would come off...these are durable. My nail technician, whom I forgot her name, was pleasant, polite, and did an amazing job filling and making sure everything was the same. Also, sometimes when you go, you just want to zone out. That's what I did and there was very little small talk. I needed some quiet time and I got it. But, they are very willing to talk, especially about their kiddos. Super cute! Finally got to get my pedicure done after getting back from the Philippines for a month because of being swamped with schoolwork, work, and the gym and lord knows i needed my toes done BAD I came here post work & gym yesterday at 6 and got a #2 pedicure with gel French tips. The attention to detail Sydney had was amazing. Literally needed everything she did lol. In the Philippines they be taking out your ingrown without asking and honestly I don't even be removing mine like that cuz they're gonna keep growing back 10x crazier. Long story short it's been hurting my toes since!!!! When Sydney was cleaning up my cuticles she took them right out so quick and painlessly. Didn't have to ask but omg the relief wow Anyway my pedi came with a scrub, mask, callous removal, regular massage, and hot stone massage. Next time I'm definitely getting the paraffin wax because my feet were baby soft afterward I can't imagine how they would feel with the wax. I gave them three stars bc: of T's (the nail tech who did my nails) reckless mouth and her trying to nickel and dime me. I'm new to the area and this is my second nail shop I've been to out here. Searching for a new one bc the last one polish kept peeling (gave them three times to make sure it wasn't me, so that's a full set and two fills) and they could not do basic designs, my last fill I chose natural Nails with no color. (Pic will be posted). I purchased nail tips from Amazon that were Almond shaped bc they were short and still gave me the pointed shape. Not a true stiletto, but enough. So I go to Galaxy on Friday 5/6. Show T the design I want, she said no problem. I'm like ok, this may be my shop. She asked if I liked my shape I told her yes. She informed me she couldn't do that shape and would I mind if she did more pointy. I said like stiletto. Sure yes. Yes was like ok it's easier for me. No worries. So towards the end she breaks down my cost: $35 fill, $5 shape, $10 French and $10 for each design I wanted bc the stone would be big. Errrrrrrr....rewind. So $5 for what?! She was like yes the shape bc I gave you stiletto. I told her hold, you gave me stiletto bc you you could not do almond shape. I said if that was extra you should have told me up front. Then she proceeds to argue with me saying no I can do almond but we think it's very ugly so we don't like to do it. At this point I Am too through. I'm like no she didn't. And she went on and on about my shape and called it ugly like four times then said it's really nothing to me, $5 it's only $5. I said yes it is only $5 but it's MY $5 and you should have disclosed it was extra. So she takes off the $5 and inquired about the designs, which I declined. So needless to say, I will not be back. You will not dictate how I spend my money, then talk about me and what your shop think is ugly and then say see you next time. Chile these companies got the game twisted. read more

This is the first time we have gone to this nail salon, and it's for my wedding day on Sunday. Both Dalis and T treated me, my sis-in-law, and my mom warmly. Not only is the place clean, their staff, including owner Dalis, are both very welcoming. Dalis did French tip on my toe nails while T did full set ombré on my fingers. I live in the bay area but have come back to Stockton several times so that the Galaxy girls can get me right! T is amazing! Whatever design you want, she can make it happen. Her work is neat, clean, and sturdy. I'm always pleased with her. And she's funny as hell. First time there (recommended by my best friend). I went for a pedicure since I wanted to pamper myself a lil bit before giving birth in the next week! I sure felt pampered by the tech Sydney. She was attentive and careful with me. The massage I got was very relaxing and my gel nails came out cute. If or when I come back , I would like to come back for her service for a pedicure. I got the basic pedicure: 40$ (Cleaning, scrub, gel polish, massage lotion/oils, and hot towel) I called and scheduled an appointment, which was easy to make since I told them anytime between 11am to 1 pm, they gave me 1pm. I believe they do take walk-ins. They did have a sign that said "As of Feb 2020 (I believe), they take cash only" , so be sure to have cash or you can use the atm in the smoke shop nearby. Went here the first time 3 weeks ago to do my nails.Paid $85 for the set. She told me upfront that the gemstones are already $15. I don't know her name but she was kind enough to fix the rhinestone on my nail twice. Came back because I broke a nail (they charge $3 per broken nail). Came back again to do black ombré nude nails for $70 because the lady (I don't know her name) didn't tell me upfront that the holo glitter was going to be an extra $5. That irritated me because it seemed like she just wanted to take my money. Plus her acrylic was messy, I had to clean it up. Update: broke a nail. The con of this place is that they don't build an apex. My real nail broke off with it so now I have to wait 3-6 months for it to grow out. I called galaxy nails at noon for two pedicures and scheduled it for 6pm. We arrived at 6pm. Lady in the front said she only heard one pedicure and had no one to do our nails.
