I called to see if he installs convertible boot covers. I explained to him that I have a pre-made boot kit made of Stayfast material. He said that was the best material. I only needed a quote for labor since I have the pre-made boot kit ($400 value). The only labor would be installing 12 snaps. I told him the year, make and model of my car. He said he knows my kind of car and to send him photos so he could give me a quote for the labor cost. He gave me his cell number to send the photos. We hung up and I sent him 3 photos of my car within a couple of minutes. Well that was 2 days ago and haven't received a call or text for the quote. I will not call back someone that is unreliable and unresponsive. It is an indication of the quality of their work. read more

My 20 yr old RV needed an update badly so I decided to reupholster pretty much everything on the rig. Unlike a car, this is a huge job that included everything from 3 captain's chair, sofa bed, dinette chairs, window trims and other little knick knacks here and there. Was quoted 2 weeks for the job which resulted closer to a bit over 3 weeks but I'm partially at fault since I said I wasn't in a rush. However, I also didn't want to rush Arthur either since I wanted a top notch quality job. Boy can I say he didn't disappoint. When he was putting back my sofa bed, I noticed a bunch of new screws and bolts and I asked him what he was doing since this is a reupholstery job... so why all these new screw and bolts? He said he is changing out my old hardware with these new ones since mine was old... are you kidding me!!??? Now that is what I call attention to details and pride in his workmanship. He made at least 3 trips dropping/picking stuff up from me since the RV was just too large to leave at his shop for such a long duration. Everything was well coordinated and made as painless as it could've been. His shop is super busy and I'm sure he doesn't need this review for his business but in today's time where everyone tries to cut corners, it is good to know craftsmanship still exits as well as a honest and reliable business man. Today I had an appointment to have some auto upholstery repaired at 8:00AM. After waiting for 15 Minutes and nobody showing up at the place and watching two other prospective customers leave, I decided to do a quick search and came across Arthur's. I called and Arthur said to come on in. He called me later that day to come collect my car. He had done an excellent job, far exceeding my expectations. OK, I finally pick up my car, and they did an outstanding job! The whole experience was excellent. My insurance wanted to expedite everything and required I turn in my car immediately, without very little notice. Arthur was willing to wait for me to get off work ( I work in the valley). I didn't arrive until almost 10 pm and he was courteous and help full. Eddie was great at communicating with me during the process, and my car was finished in two days. The new canvas top was beautiful, great quality and workmanship. I had unfortunately replaced the top 8 months before because some asshole wanted to steal my radio, but the top from Arthurs was 100% better. This guy does great work. I went there to have my Toyota Tundra 2006 drivers seat reupholstered. It needed new foam in the lumbar area. I had taken it to another place and they made it worse. The seat hurt my lower back so bad I could barely drive the truck for more then 30 minutes. Arthur took the time to listen to my issue and specifically designed a foam piece to refit my drivers seat. It's like a brand new seat, probably better then the factory. I can drive for hours now, what a difference. He also finished in a timely manner for a fair price. I highly recommend this guy. I've got a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. There was a tear at the seam which quickly developed into a larger and larger tear. I considered getting some seat covers, but decided to look at yelp for an auto upholstery guy. Arthur had some good reviews, and I went to see him. Bottom line, he not only fix the tear with the identical factory fabric, but he completely rebuilt and re-padded the seat bottom and back. I've got to say, when I ran into someone who is really professional and exceeds your expectations, I feel obligated to validate Arthur's on Yelp. I'm extremely happy with the work he did for me. I had a very simple arm rest repair that I had put off for a year because the two other places I visited needed me to leave my car for half a day. Jacob, who is not the owner, looked at it and said, "I can have that part out of your car in 5 minutes and you'll be on your way. It will be ready this afternoon." Went in to get my motorcycle seat reupholstered.. came in on Monday and they said it would be done the following day... called on Tuesday and they said sorry it's not done.. come back tomorrow... called again on Wednesday and no one answers. physically walked Into the store and the guy said it's still not done and to come back on Thursday... I have not been able to ride my bike since Monday and this is getting frustrating. How difficult is it to reupholster a seat that is about a foot long? Took my 2006 Acura RL to Arthurs, not sure if the repair will worth the money....Perhaps I should just leave it alone, after all, it is only a small split on the driver's seat. But I know it will get worse by the day. What a difference $250 makes. Arthur did an outstanding work, my seat looks brand new; actually it is, he has replaced 3 leather panels on the seating area faultlessly. He even polished the rest of the seats. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and it shows! I am very happy with his work and will replace my arm rest in a week or so. I whole-heartedly agree with all of the positive reviews here. This place is a rare gem, both extremely competent and very, very service-oriented and friendly. I own a 2014 Subaru Outback. Due to chronic back pain, the driver's seat was not working out for me at all. It was too hard and the wrong shape for my back. Arthur did "open-heart surgery" on the seat, not once, but four times, until I finally liked the new shape of the seat. This was basically a trial and error process, as there was no way to tell whether a change worked until I had driven the car for a while. I should add that this was not due to any faulty workmanship on the part of the shop. It was simply a matter of getting it just right, which required several iterations of changes. Perfect ergonomics are not easy to achieve, especially for someone with a hypersensitive back. Throughout the process, Arthur remained very understanding and friendly, and even encouraged me to come back each time if I didn't like the seat yet. Nor did he charge me extra. In fact, he declined additional payment when I offered it the third time I went back (I was frankly a bit embarrassed to put the man through some much trouble with the darn seat). Watching him open up and work on the seat several times, I could tell he really knows what he's doing. Never having seen the inside of a car seat before, I was surprised how complex it is. And every car seat is a bit different in design, of course. Yet, Arthur maneuvered confidently at all times, opening the seat up, replacing and shaping foam pieces, adjusting the tension, and reinstalling the seat. All in all, I am very lucky I found Arthur, as I would otherwise probably have had to sell my new car. It was just killing my already bad back. So, if you are looking for a competent, honest, friendly and reasonably priced auto upholstery service in the area, you will be in good hands with Arthur. And, please, look past the somewhat dated premises, which are a bit rough around the edges. The quality of the work and people there is what counts, in my mind, not the looks of the place. read more

Bottom line-Good craftsmanship+reasonable price+no surprises=customer satisfaction. There's a small tear on the armrest of my car that needed to be repaired. Arthur(I think it's the dad) told me I had to leave the car there for at least half a day, which I think is fair if they can do a good job. Car was ready in the afternoon as promised and the armrest looks brand new! I was really impressed and decided to write a review asap to commend him for a job well done.
