After 20 years of daily use my Morris chair's seat cushion broke. As I later discovered, the seat cushion covers heavy-duty steel springs that are attached to a narrow wooden frame that finally cracked. Stickley offers replacement cushions that have to be special ordered as a set, and they're pretty pricey. Short Version: Antunez is an ultra professional who takes incredible pride in his work. He will not cut corners or do anything he doesn't think is the right right way to do it. Very respectable. A man of his word and awesome to deal with. I can't recommend him enough. Longer version: I live locally in Pasadena and needed someone I could trust to help me customize the interior of my Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. I initially stopped by Antunez Upholstery when I wanted help converting some tan "leather" knee bolsters in my car. He refused, told me why it wasn't a good idea and he doesn't half ass anything and sent me on my way. I knew then he was legit. When it came time to reupholster my seats, I went back and he discussed what I wanted and he gave me a quote. A very fair quote. Not cheap but not absurdly high either. One main thing was I didn't want to leave my seats and have them just sit there for weeks and weeks until the job was done. This is how most places work. Antunez was in the same page and he told me to come back in month and he would knock it would in a week or less. I left a deposit and he kept his word and delivered an amazing final product in time and on budget as promised. He was super responsive with my Yelp quote request and asked me to bring in one of our dining chairs so he could evaluate the necessary repairs and show us sample fabrics for the chair covers. It took about a week and a half to get the job done from dropping off one chair for fabric quantity measurement, to ordering the fabric, and reupholstering all 7 chairs. Juan was very professional and takes pride in high quality work. Pricing wasn't the cheapest, but given all of the positive reviews, we decided that spending a little more to get a quality product would be better than going cheap and being unhappy with the end results. When I stumbled onto this place during my research, I thought it was too good to be true. The quote was half of the place of the other two companies I researched and it is 10 minutes away versus an hour. On top of that the owner offered to pick it up and drop it off for free of charge as opposed to $300 for delivery fee. In the end, I paid half the price and the quality was excellent. I'm glad I got my sling chair reupholstered instead of tossing it out and buy a new one which would've cost me close to $1000.
