Actually used Sergio for 2 different projects - one was reupholstering the back seat and center console for the car. Did a very nice job and when we had a problem with the screws coming out of the center console top, he fixed them in short order. The second project was re-upholstering a leather couch. Took longer than expected because the first leather he ordered was not available and we had to choose a different one. Once it came in, he got right to the job and it looks very nice. When we couldn't get the side pieces to snap he came out to the house and was able to stretch them to snap properly. I would give a five star rating except for the delays on the couch and the fact that I had to reach out to find out the cause of the delay, since it was originally supposed to be a two week project, and he did not inform me of the leather availability issue. But once he gets the job underway he works very fast and does nice work. read more

I had a sofa cushion that had a rip in the seam that needed to be repaired. I found Sardo's online, and read the great reviews - and yes, the positive reviews definitely are all true after my experience. I dropped in , and I showed Sergio the problem. He asked me if I had a few minutes to wait, and I told him yes. He took the cover off the pillow and sewed the seam right then, and replaced the cover back on and made sure it was secure and that the seam was strong. I asked him what I owed him, and he said not to worry but to come back with another larger job for him...he's definitely earned my business, and I will for sure be back with another job for him. It is really hard to find businesses and people like this these days. Sardo turned my seat cushions from flat pancakes into something I want to sit on. He did an amazing job reviving my dining room seat cushions. They are white leather, so very lovely, but after 5 years, the foam was flat and hard and getting very uncomfortable. Now I have my chairs back, good as new, with new foam and under covers. Since 1 star is the minimum I am stuck with that rating. Called and had a long discussion with them a couple of days ago describing multiple chairs that I need redone. They told me they could come to my home today at 1PM. I told them that both my girlfriend had very busy days since it so close to the holidays and we work during the week. He assured me he would come out and we agreed to rearrange our respective schedules so we could both be here to meet with him. You know where this is going.....No call. And no one showed up. So I guess if you want unprofessionalism and a total lack of common courtesy than this is your place! I called a couple of other places in the area and both have set up appointments for today and tomorrow and have promised to actually show up. I will post on those companies afterwards. read more

Sergio is a good communicator and does a high quality job. It may take a little while, and it isn't inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. I took him six outdoor furniture cushions (very thick and two of them very wide) and wanted top quality Sunbrella fabric (as the cheap original Costco Sunbrella fabric got eaten through by squirrels in about 3 months). He matched the price I found for the fabric online, and his labor rate was reasonable. He told me he was busy, so it took several weeks to get them back, but they look terrific and the seams line up well and the sewing looks professional. His location is a little tough to find. If you're heading east on Walnut from Hill, it's on the right just before Walnut splits into Walnut and Foothill in that little courtyard by the Ed and Al's Autosound. You should always call first to see if he is there -- dropping by has been hit or miss for me. Overall, I would recommend this business. I searched a lot of places and talked to a lot of friends, and most people seemed pretty disappointed with what they had found elsewhere. read more

If it were possible to give no stars I would. So very disappointed with their service. Having a business in town I know how important it is to do a good job at a fair price and do it well. I also stand behind my work 100%. Not so with Sardo's. We had them make some cushions for a bench and chairs. The bench cushions were not made as we discussed. it was only after they were delivered that he notes, "sorry we can't make them like that, I don't have the Machine" Not sure why they could not tell us that before they made it wrong. In addition the angles at the corners were not mitered leaving a gap where they meet. Amazing to me that he can have such attitude and not even attempt to work on the situation. The seat cushions just as bad. We asked for a cushion that was 3" in height. He told us not a problem. Once they arrive the clients complained they were too tall. So we measured, 4.25" When we asked about this he said "You asked for 3" foam".... No we did not, we asked for a 3" cushion. He refused to remake any of it, noting he made them as they were supposed to be. CLEARLY he does not do good Custom work. If all you need is a plain square or rectangle with no detail, Sardos your guy. Even then I would ask him to draw you a picture with all the info so you know what he plans on making. But if you want something custom that fits the detail you are used to, you need to go somewhere else. We still had one more large complex seat cushion to fabricate, but seeing as he would not fix any of the issues we had so far, we decided not to pursue it. $500 dollars down the drain, as we will need to remake the cushions we got in order to make them correct. read more

I have used Sardo's Upholstery many times. Serge understands customer service and that nothing is perfect. He repaired my car seat cover 3 years ago. I am a building contractor so drive around town all day and probably get in and out of my car 20 times each day so I understand why my seat cover was coming apart. When he repaired the seat cover he told me I should have come to him earlier because the seat was already so bad and he may not be able to repair it. He repaired it and I was happy. I went back to him 2 years later because the seat had begun to come apart again. I understood it was due to my wear and tear. Serge told me the seat was nearly too far gone but that he would stretch the material and get me a couple more years out of it. He took it apart and repaired it again for what I thought was a bargain of $40. This year I took my car to him again because my kids had ripped the cover off the center console. He said because it was a factory install he could not fix it the right way but he offered to fix it temporarily for free. A year later it is still holding up. This week he is re covering some outdoor furniture cushions for me. I have an outdoor patio set that has come apart over the years. Serge recommended a superior material to the one that came with the furniture set. It is going to be expensive to re cover the cushions but I am having Serge do it because I trust him. In summary I have always been pleased with the work done at Sardo's Upholstery and would recommend them to any one. read more

Sergio was kind enough to help us with a repair to a couch cushion zipper that while tragic for us, was a piece of cake for him. He was able to fix it within a few hours and was kind enough to help us out with the price. We will need more repairs done on the couch soon due to the rambunctiousness of our 4 and 6 year olds, and we will definitely be contacting Sardo's to see if they can work their magic again! read more

I came here a couple of years ago for a repair on the inside sunroof trim of a classic car. Sergio was able to basically tuck it back together in about 10 minutes, and charged me nothing! That's 0$, FREE! You don't forget service like that, so when I needed something for another older car today (small repair to foam underneath upholstery) I came back to him.
