The class moves steadily so you don't feel rushed, and they encourage you to work at your own pace as well as allowing you to be free to make deviations from the painting as you see fit. There's a lot of freedom in what you create which I found to add to the experience as everybody's painting is their own unique piece of art. The staff help clean everything up at the end, assist with photos, answer questions, and let you take your time as you leave in the event you need to add those finishing touches to your masterpiece. The staff would come around to check in and see if you wanted refills, to place an order, or even point out how awesome you're doing! Just so encouraging! The environment was clean and everything you needed, paint refills, paper towels, sinks to wash up, oil to remove paint from your clothing (which I personally used and it worked!) was all easily accessible. There was a variety of food options, like chicken fingers, pizza rolls, spring rolls, candy, and drinks, including alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. Working with clay requires patience, creativity, and real time problem solving, which has been such a wonderful experience for her. I especially love that pottery teaches her to embrace the process rather than expect instant gratification. There's no rushing to a finished product...you have to work through each step, learn from mistakes, and sometimes figure out how to solve a problem when things don't go as planned. It has been so rewarding to watch her challenge herself, develop new skills, and become more confident in her ability to work through frustration and find solutions.
