I was a part of creative arts for about 3 years in their teen classes and I've even volunteered as a teachers assistant for elementary school level students. I began coming to this art studio due to a recommendation from my friend and I immediately felt comfortable thanks to Meg. Not only did my family see a difference in my focus and artistic abilities, but I also felt more confident in my creativity and my character. Meg has been an incredible influence in my life. She constantly encouraged me to experiment with my creativity and helped me discover who I am as an artist. Whether that was playing my favorite music or talking to me about my inspiration, Meg always created a comfort zone for me to express myself through art. Both my daughters have been going to Creative Arts since they were in elementary school. They are now in college! They have not only improved amazingly in art, they have made life-long relationships. Meg, Leticia, all the students, they are like a second family to my girls. So much so that my older daughter even started volunteering there in high school, helping with the younger children classes. One year my older daughter wanted to skip the lower level art in her high school. She wasn't allowed to do that unless she proved with a portfolio that she is capable of being in an upper level art class. She did many art work at Creative Arts and with the excellent teaching of Meg, she was able to make a great portfolio to show the teacher. She did so well that she was allowed to skip the lower level art class. Creative Arts is not just an educational class. It's a caring, loving environment with amazing staff. My daughter has been going to Creative Art Academy for the past 5 years. She loves her classes with Meg. Meg is a great instructor, specially with the teenager students, also there is a lot of sense of comradery in the classes, and new friendships are developed there. I really like the culture of Creative Arts, the students encourage, help and challenge each other, even if you are not good at art. there is no nasty competitions among themselves, Going to the art classes is a relief for my girl, after spending mounts of HS homework. my daughter is naturally gifted in art, but with guidance from Meg and other instructors, it has helped her become almost professional in her works. We believe that creative endeavors are both a break and a boost to academics so we decided to enroll our daughters in art classes. We were dismayed that many art studios take a "production" approach (every piece is taught the same way so every piece looks like the others) that seemed to defy the point of creativity. After a friend's recommendation, we tried Creative Arts. What a difference! Highly qualified art teachers who teach background, knowledge, and techniques while still encouraging, honing, and elevating individual expression. Meg, Latisha and Kris are wonderful. To date they have taught our girls from kindergarten to tween, and in drawing and painting using pencil, charcoal, pastels, acrylic, watercolor, and now oils. I grew up in Irvine California during the 2000s, and Creative Arts played a huge role in my childhood. I'm about to graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in Animation and I seriously believe that I would not be where I am now without all the things I learned and the memories I made at Creative Arts. I was a regular there for many years - this place heavy contributed to my passion for the arts. They also helped me with my portfolio for the Orange County High School of the Arts (and I graduated from there in 2011!). Meg is a wonderful instructor and the environment is friendly and focused. Creative Arts is fantastic for all ages. I attended teen classes here for several years and I can definitely say that they have impacted me, and not just as an artist. Their warm environment dispels any anxiety one could have about attending an art class or not being "good" at art. The staff is great with helping you improve and build your skills and creativity. They encourage you to explore different mediums and truly get creative with your subject. I have made projects I would have never thought of on my own. As a typical parent who invests tons of money on the outside of school curriculums, I also sent my daughters to art and piano classes. Many of my friends' money and time got wasted with other art teachers, but I surely see a full return on mine from Creative Art. I attended creative arts for years since the late 90's. The teacher and owner Meg was so friendly and easy to work with. I quickly started attending class more than once a week to learn new skills. I learned all basic skills to master drawing and painting. I started attending as a preteen and built my portfolio with the help of the teachers to get into OCHSA's Fine Arts Conservatory. From there I went on to OTIS College of Art and Design with Meg As my portfolio mentor. Now I'm a graphic designer. They are an amazing art school program! read more

This is really a unique place and Meg, the owner, is fantastic. I actually taught here for a couple of years before leaving California. I frequently think to myself how nice it would be to have more places like this in other towns across the country. They are hard to find. Creative Arts Academy offers an open and nurturing environment where kids can really explore their creative side. I sent my daughter to this school at an early age. The instructors are more than just art teachers they are truly mentors for your children. My daughter went on to attend Laguna Beach College of Art & Design, then attended California State University Long Beach where she received a BFA in Animation /Illustration. Our daughters have been coming here for several years, and they really enjoy their classes. Our older daughter (11 yrs) has progressed from very basic art, to doing really creative, wonderful works. Over the summer she even took the portrait class for teenagers.
