We were visiting my sister in Phoenix and we took her to her favorite restaurant, Arrowhead Grill. My sister and I are both bullies and are very fussy and what restaurants we choose. And we ended up getting their crabcakes which were out of this world and had to combine but the dinner menu. The place is always crowded because it is extremely popular and we could make reservations. The ambience is also great and a very large area with great seating options. I must must highly commend our server, a girl maybe in her early 40s dark longish hair, was the most attentive in every way and went way beyond any waitress I've come across in many years. Our meal was delicious but her service was the most outstanding feature and I only wish I lived near the restaurant, and not visiting from San Diego, because I'd be going there every week. She was so pleasantly attentive and had the most cheerful attitude ever! My next visit in Arizona, I will make a bee line to look her up so she can serve us again! read more

The best steak I have ever had, and it's not even close. Then you add on the artisan Mac and cheese which was to die for. The broccoli and cheese was cooked to perfection. I was very upset with the fact that we made reservations 4 days ahead and when we were being seated as a party of 2 we were sat a a table in the middle of the room. I asked a booth (there were 3 open surrounding us) and was blown off by the hostess. The booths were in the same server's section and sat open for 10-15 minutes. Just got back from there and wanted to say something. But first a little background. We have been going to Arrowhead Grill for years now. Family dinners, special occasions or just because we loved it there. Always the fist place on our list. When they were closed due to covid we order take out from them as well to support them. When they were allowed to reopen with social distancing we decided to try and were impressed that they kept things so spaced out. Tonight was not the case. We were sat back to back with multiple parties in a booth. There was only about 2 feet separating the back of my wife's head from the person directly behind her. My wife told the server that we were uncomfortable being so close to another party, and were moved to a table that was properly distanced. We thought the matter was solved though we were upset that we had to even ask, with a pandemic going on. Not even 10 minutes after being moved, another party was seated right behind us. Again our heads are 2 feet apart at this point. We said something our server asking what was going on and if they were still distancing people as they used to. He said they were running at 50% capacity and that a manager could come over and talk to us about. My wife and I said that would be great if we could speak with him, and that we would like our food to go now, since neither of us felt comfortable or safe given the amount of people sat in our section. A quick look around the restaurant and you could see another section completely un occupied at this point. Our server eventually came back with our food and the ticket. We paid and left all without ever having the manager come by and speak with us, even though he passed by us a couple of times. During these times when we choose to go out l, to support our local businesses we are trusting the business to keep us save. It could literally be life and death. I felt as though they simply did not care about our well-being. It will be hard for me to come back to or recommend Arrowhead Grill going forward. Even after these trying times have past. read more

I went to this spot last night for a first date. Why this spot? Honestly no clue, it was just close to her and seemed really nice. Let me tell you, if you want to make a good first impression, yeah, this a good spot. Don't get me wrong, yea, it's a little pricey but it's so worth it. My waitress was the shit (excuse my language but I feel that was the proper expression). I can't remember her name, but she was blonde, my date and I were sitting by the wine cabinet. She greeted us so nicely and was so friendly throughout the night. Her hospitality was so great. Constant smile on her face, just seemed happy to be there and help out and I owe part of my successful date to her and I really appreciate it and THANK YOU. She made BOMB recommendations. The wine was FANTASTIC, the Tucson steak OH LORDT HAVE MERCY, THE ARTISAN MAC AND CHEESE. My whole dinner AND desert was all recommended by my waitress and she did not miss. AT ALL. I would have to say the Arrowhead Grill is possibly the best dining in the West Valley. Don't let the location (in a small strip mall) stop you from visiting. Once you walk through the door the dark wood and booths take you to that steakhouse level. Our Delmonico steaks were so tender and full of flavor. Caesar salads wonderful. And the complimentary bread assortment was excellent. We were too full for dessert. I would have loved to try the Butter Cake. Next time for sure. Make a reservation. Let me start by saying thank goodness for Restaurant Week!!!! The service and decor was amazing! There was no wait to be seated to our reserved table. there was a bit of a wait from the time we placed our order to the time it came to our table but hey it was Friday evening during restaurant week so that was expected. When I usually dine out there is something always wrong with something from being served cold food to finding hair in it. I can't say one negative thing about this place everything was on point. Even as the waiter was describing their specials of the night my mouth watered! Our meals were divine! Thank goodness for the $44 menu for restaurant week, this place is high end and quite expensive but worth every dime. It's been quite a while since I've been to Arrowhead Grill. Was brought here tonight by my family for an early Father's Day celebration (bonus dad). Megan was our server or what I'd call a Service Professional, she made our 2 girls feel very welcome and was overly engaged with them and just what you want when you bring a 9yr old and 6yr old to a nicer dining establishment. Enter, Charles (Manager/GM), who continued the excellent service, making us all feel welcome, also engaged with the children and made them feel very special and even got them to try a dessert they were sure they wouldn't like! On top of all of that, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, and honestly it's all due to Megan and Charles, but also compliments to Chef and all the staff! Well done AG Fam! read more

Game here before going to the Cirque show. Sat at the bar since we didn't have reservations for a Saturday night and we didn't have trouble finding a table. There are ample TV's with sports on each station. I was happy they had the EuroCup but was quickly disappointed when they changed the channel on the big TV to watch hockey. What gives? Anyways, the service was fine. The food was good. I had the spring salad and my friend had the prime rib which was cooked just right. I wasn't blown away and I wasn't disappointed. We went here on a whim for Happy Hour. The building from the outside is pretty non-descript. However, when you walk in, the hostesses are extremely warm. We did not have a reservation. Reservations for Happy Hour are a must, but we were able to snag two high backed chairs at the bar. The bar area is extremely small, with very few high tops. Jamie, our server was terrific. She steered us to the AG burgers, fries and onion rings. We also had 2 IPAs. The food was fantastic. These were probably the best burgers we've ever had. If I could lodge one complaint, it would be that they don't offer draught beer. Thank goodness, they play quiet background music, so you can have a conversation. We will definitely return. read more

We popped in for a quick bite on a whim last Friday evening and we are very glad we did! Since we weren't very hungry we just ordered off the happy hour menu. Our server pointed it out to us and mentioned that it was almost over so she waited while we chose so she could get the order to the kitchen in time, which was really sweet of her. Filet sliders, crab sliders minus the buns,Italian Beef sandwich and a cup of clam chowder was enough to fill us both up. We practically needed to be wheeled out of there. They also brought us a basket of assorted breads with soft butter. All the servers seemed to be ready to help, bring drinks, refill water. We never sat waiting for anything. We were asked twice by two different gentlemen - maybe the owner and manager? Not sure, but they genuinely seemed to care that we were happy and even joked with hubby about being so darned full. They even sent us over a complimentary plate of their Buttercake. Oh my goodness, it was decadent and worth a visit just for it alone. As mentioned, the prices are not low, but the quality of everything we had was superb. The table next to us ordered a Creme Brulee and a server wheeled out a cart and proceeded to torch it right at the table. There were also fresh berries and creme on that cart.... Arrived for our 6:00 reservation and then waited 40 minutes to get seated. there choice of seats were in a banquet room by ourselves. however the party of the same size whose reservations were a half an hour after us were seated at the same time were in the dining room. Bottom line is they do not honor reservations and plan to wait 30 to 45 minutes past your reserved time. Wouldn't go back. read more

Even with the flavorful marbling that adds to the flavor, it is always so tender that I could cut it with a butter knife. Friends & family have ordered the Filet, KC Strip & Delmonico. Porterhouse will satisfy even a big Offensive Lineman. I take my Dad out for Father's Day & he always orders the Prime Rib. Now he only wants to go to Arrowhead Grill because it's the best he's every had. So impressed with the cuts of steak & how they are aged & prepared! Even biz associates from out of town chose to return here for multiple meals when they were in town for a convention instead of hitting the traditional steakhouses in Scottsdale. Steaks beats Mortons, Mastros, Ocean Club, Cap Grille, Ruth's Chris, or Eddie V's... & rivals any steakhouse in the country in NY, DC, Chicago, LA, Vegas, ATL. Crab cakes are delicious. Friends said Chilean Sea Bass & Lobster were great too -- amazing in the middle of the desert! Sides are just average so I always order the AG Salad, which is great by itself. Even if you're not a fan of desserts, it's worth ordering the Butter Cake & indulging in a few decadent bites. It's a little noisy. This is a great place to meet up with friends for a happy hour outing or dining. The bar fills up fast so plan on getting there early if you can. You have got to try the Pig Wings. Trust me, they're terrific. The Moscow Mule (ginger infused cocktail served in a copper mug) is very tasty too. When (and if) it cools off, the patio is great place to hang out. Service in both the bar and dining room is very good. The wait staff is very attentive without appearing to be badgering you. I've never experienced anything but the highest level of service. Their version of the Delmonico steak is about as good as you can get around the Phoenix area (without paying the ridiculous Ruth's Chris prices). Be sure to sign up for their email list. Had my first experience at Arrowhead Grill with my fiancé, well, after our dinner. We both enjoy a great steak and all of the fixings that go with it. The steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection. My fiancé had the 10 oz. Delmonico steak and I had the 14 oz. Delmonico steak with shrimp. The steak was cooked perfectly, had excellent flavor and was definitely the right choice. We also added the macaroni and cheese and lobster stuffed baked potato. All of it was mouth watering amazing. The environment was relaxing, very romantic, and the staff was awesome. This was a special night and celebrating a special occasion. When I called to make a reservation, Shayna (spelling, I apologize if incorrect) asked if we were celebrating something. I told her yes and she asked what it was. I told her that I was proposing to my girlfriend. She was supportive and immediately told me that they had a romantic table that was lit beautifully and was going to be perfect. It was! I was very happy with her service and also helping keep it a secret as we came in. I also asked if she can make a note for our waiter about the proposal and she told me she was going to do that. Clarence was our waiter. He was attentive, helpful and not pushy at all. His knowledge of the menu, the cuts, the flavors and pairing of wine were right on. Through the dinner, he let us take our time and I never felt rushed. When I proposed, he was receptive to how I was going to do it and asked if there was a particular camera I wanted to use. I had been wanting to go here for a year... It was worth the wait. We called for reservations and there are 2 left! It was fantastic! Charles was a very attentive server and immediately brought a gluten free menu when I asked. I had the Delmonico and he had the Prime rib, both cuts of meat were amazing. He is not a foodie, but kept proclaiming the french onion soup was fantastic. Fried potatoes lyonaise were a great addition. In the bar seating area, it was so hot I couldn't wait to get into an air conditioned car. Asked the hostess if we could sit at a different table which apparently was something she didn't want to do. The doors to the outside seating behind the bar needed to be cleaned. My crab cake sliders was a total disappointment. Took a long time to have cocktails delivered to our table. Not coming back, period. Sad how this restaurant has gone down hill with the lack of quality of food and certainly, not up to the friendly staff as in the past. read more
