Came here after a suggestion from a friend and got to try the matcha latte, which was super delicious - the creaminess was almost like a dessert! There were pandan on top of it on the cream as well, which was a nice addition. The space was bright and airy, and there were lots of people either working on laptops or just chatting. Plenty of seating either tables or benches. The only knock would be that it is quite expensive for the volume you get (I think I nearly paid $10), but at least it is quality matcha...?. Before my trip to Seattle, I was researching cafes to visit (as my partner and I are very much coffee/matcha enthusiasts) when I came across this cafe on TikTok/YouTube. I had heard alot about their quality of service and drinks, along with how aesthetic the interior was. I can definitely say that those things are accurate for sure! Aroom is a cafe within Fremont, featuring a minimal/Japandi aesthetic, with amazing drinks and pastries to complement. It is DEFINITELY a great place to study or hang, as the vibes were more chill. The staff were also extremely helpful laying out what their most popular drinks were and if they had any recommendations. I had ordered the Sesame Cream Top Latte, and my partner had ordered the Banana Cream Top Matcha, and those drinks definitely met our expectations and more! The Sesame Cream Top Latte was divine. It was nutty and sweet, and created a beautiful blend with the coffee. The matcha was earthy and had depth, so the Banana definitely contrasted that and made it brighter. What really surprised me was how much I liked the sesame latte, it wasn't too sweet and was a flavor I don't usually have with coffee, but is my number one. I discovered Aroom while staying in Seattle over the weekend and loved this coffeeshop. The aesthetic is chic and minimal with a lot of light. The majority of the space is roomy, with small tables and chairs scattered throughout. The tables are small and low, so it doesn't look like the best space for doing laptop work however. There were a lot of customers inside, sitting and enjoying their coffees, when we came around 10 am on a Sunday morning. A few people were ahead of us in the line, but the line moved quickly. Service was friendly and welcoming and the cashier was happy to explain the differences between some of their drinks. My brother got an egg coffee while I had the black sesame latte. I tried both the egg coffee and the black sesame latte, and loved both. I was able to get the sesame latte half sweetened so the egg coffee tasted much more decadent in comparison. The street parking isn't too bad, I've always gotten lucky with a spot out front or not too far away. We love the natural, minimalistic vibe inside. I have been meaning to come here for a while and I am so disappointed in myself for NOT trying Aroom sooner. Their drinks are absolutely delicious and I love the aesthetic of the cafe. Their pandan matcha is now one of my favorite drinks in all of Seattle. The pandan cream is so good. It is very thick and creamy, moreso than I expected. The pandan flavor is super evident in the cream. The matcha is sweetened and you can still taste the matcha clearly, the sweetness and the milk did not take away from it. It is not the strongest matcha flavor, if you are looking for a drink that is very matcha forward. Together the pandan cream and matcha latte blend together well, one did not overpower the other. I think for a lot of places when they have pandan drinks, the pandan flavoring is not very strong at all, so I was very happy with Aroom's drink! I also got my boyfriend the coconut coffee. There was a good balance of coffee and coconut flavor which was really nice. I'm glad both flavors really show through the drink. I think I will come back to try the pandan coffee the next time. We will NOT be sleepless after this stop! My sister left me in charge to plan our activities, and this place was mentioned multiple times for good matcha places in Seattle. We headed over via metro (which is wonderful and amazing) and ordered our drinks. I got the banana latte and she got the gloomy matcha. Updating my review to reflect their revised menu, along with the incredible customer service recently experienced! Aroom has become part of our regular rotation due to their consistently high quality drinks and broad menu offerings. While my boyfriend previously felt that the coffee was on the weaker side and he needed a second shot to achieve the perfect flavor, he feels that their coffee has improved since they opened and no longer needs the second shot. I'm also glad that they regularly mix the matcha into the drink now. While it doesn't have the cool aesthetic, it tastes much better and that's really all I care about. I also like that they've come out with a number of seasonal drinks (pandan, banana, chestnut) and I like that they have been able to modify them into a matcha latte version for the non-coffee drinkers like me. Recently, I had a terrible experience with one of their drinks. On the way home, I found out that the drink had been leaking through the bottom of a faulty cup. I contacted them about this issue, and was happy with how they quickly responded to and rectified the issue. Overall, Aroom has ousted Coffeeholic and has become our top cafe choice in Seattle. I just wish they weren't so far north, so that we could visit more often :) read more

Aroom Coffee is a cozy spot with some unique drinks that stand out from the usual coffee shop lineup. I tried the pandan latte, which had a nice flavor but I wished the pandan came through a bit stronger. Still, the coffee itself was smooth and enjoyable. The staff was also incredibly kind. They accidentally made me a matcha latte instead of a coffee latte, but quickly remade it with a smile and an apology. I ended up trying the matcha as well, and it was solid: not overly strong, but still flavorful and better than many other spots I've tried in Seattle. My friend's sesame latte was my favorite: sweet, nutty, and balanced without being overwhelming. The interior is well decorated and vibey, but since it was so packed we just drank outside. Now, on to the ambiance. It's actually quite large... I'd say about 50+ could probably fit comfortably. With many tables and high counter tops, the aesthetic boasts clean, modern and spacious. Today, I visited this Tuesday morning around 10 AM, and luckily it was very lax. I simply walked up and picked up my online order. This is not the norm-- it is usually packed to the point where the line goes outside the door! That's another thing too, the fact this establishment has been open for years and it's still that busy? Yea, they deserve this 5 star review. The staff members are great. Every interaction I've had; never any problems. They do a good job confirming online orders so not anyone can just go to the counter to skip the line and grab some random order. Not today, but the last time I visited, one of the ladies working there told me "if you need any adjustments, just let us know"! SEE!! SEE!! What did I tell you!!! They actually care!!!! Mind you, the line was so long!!! She still wanted to make sure I enjoyed my drink and if I didn't, they'd fix it!!!! Anyway... I usually get the pandan matcha ($7), which only comes as iced, 16 oz. No complaints. I think Aroom is the only café I know of that DOESN'T use plastic cups. Instead it's an interesting cardboard type of materias with their brand embossed. Cool! Price point is typical for the Seattle region. The drink itself is sweet, creamy, slightly earthy but in the best of ways. 10/10 Definitely one of the best in the state. Been hearing about this place for awhile and I finally had the chance to visit! First impression, very modern, warm and festive decorated for the lunar new year (i came during the week of). It was a Sunday around noon time, and it was packed and definitely loud as people socialize and talk. I had their large hot Bac Siu $6.90 (Vietnamese Latte) and if you have had condensed milk before, then you can already know the taste of the latte. It has the nutty caramel sweetness from the condensed milk. And it has the creaminess from just normal milk as well so it's a very smooth drink. The cup is well designed and made. The quality has fallen off so badly since I've last been here about a year ago. It seems as if all the attention and care went to their new store on the Waterfront and they forgot about this location. The cafe seems emptier than ever. It almost feels like they're in the middle of a move-out. Even the seating was reduced to tiny little stools. Our coffee was also incredibly disappointing. My partner and I both got hot Sesame latte's and when we got them the cups were only filled up maybe 3/4 of the way! Not to mention barely ANY sesame foam. And to add to all of that, the workers kept playing the same song repeatedly with horrible language and laughing about it every time it restarted. I also got the sesame matcha which had more complexity to it with a mix of nutty, toasty, and savory. I also got the pork floss bun which was really yummy. Super soft outside with some sweetness to it, cut by the savory pork in the middle. It was a satisfying bite (maybe 3) but I do wish it had a littleeeee bit more filling. Service was also great and attentive. For example I asked for oat milk and she warned me that the Pandan would still have some milk/cream in it.
