I came here around 10 on a Saturday and beat the crowd. Soon after around 11/12 it got pretty full and hard to find a seat. The gloomy matcha was yummy and the coffee cake was a good size. They don't offer much for food besides similar items to the coffee cake. Personally I'm fine with that, but just don't come here starving or expecting much from the food selection. A very minimal and aesthetic cafe with Asian-inspired coffee and matcha. I really loved their Pandan Cold Foam which went so great with the rich Vietnamese Coffee. Now, on to the ambiance. It's actually quite large... I'd say about 50+ could probably fit comfortably. With many tables and high counter tops, the aesthetic boasts clean, modern and spacious. Today, I visited this Tuesday morning around 10 AM, and luckily it was very lax. I simply walked up and picked up my online order. This is not the norm-- it is usually packed to the point where the line goes outside the door! That's another thing too, the fact this establishment has been open for years and it's still that busy? Yea, they deserve this 5 star review. The staff members are great. Every interaction I've had; never any problems. They do a good job confirming online orders so not anyone can just go to the counter to skip the line and grab some random order. Not today, but the last time I visited, one of the ladies working there told me "if you need any adjustments, just let us know"! SEE!! SEE!! What did I tell you!!! They actually care!!!! Mind you, the line was so long!!! She still wanted to make sure I enjoyed my drink and if I didn't, they'd fix it!!!! Anyway... I usually get the pandan matcha ($7), which only comes as iced, 16 oz. No complaints. I think Aroom is the only café I know of that DOESN'T use plastic cups. Instead it's an interesting cardboard type of materias with their brand embossed. Cool! Price point is typical for the Seattle region. The drink itself is sweet, creamy, slightly earthy but in the best of ways. 10/10 Definitely one of the best in the state. Been hearing about this place for awhile and I finally had the chance to visit! First impression, very modern, warm and festive decorated for the lunar new year (i came during the week of). It was a Sunday around noon time, and it was packed and definitely loud as people socialize and talk. I had their large hot Bac Siu $6.90 (Vietnamese Latte) and if you have had condensed milk before, then you can already know the taste of the latte. It has the nutty caramel sweetness from the condensed milk. And it has the creaminess from just normal milk as well so it's a very smooth drink. The cup is well designed and made. Light oak wood, simple wooden chairs and stools, soft lighting, and a muted palette create a space that feels both elevated and serene. No clutter, no visual noise, just clean lines and an airy openness that makes your latte taste better somehow. Even on a busy morning, it feels like a calming escape. Very fitting for Fremont. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but the Pandan Matcha was amazing. The Pandan on top was creamy, with hints of vanilla and a unique sweetness that blended in well with the matcha without overpowering it. I also got the sesame matcha which had more complexity to it with a mix of nutty, toasty, and savory. I also got the pork floss bun which was really yummy. Super soft outside with some sweetness to it, cut by the savory pork in the middle. It was a satisfying bite (maybe 3) but I do wish it had a littleeeee bit more filling. Service was also great and attentive. For example I asked for oat milk and she warned me that the Pandan would still have some milk/cream in it. The banana matcha was perfectly sweetened, not too much, and also still kept that authentic tea taste. They thankfully have non dairy options! There are also some small bites you can get. The space gets crowded fast being in a busier area, but it's not too loud, it's clean, they're friendly and provide fast and efficient service. They use a buzzer system which they distribute after you put in your order.
