Yummy black sesame latte! We stopped in after hearing great things and it did not disappoint. The baristas suggested their favorite lattes and pastries. We also tried the sesame bun which was warm and flakey. Service was super friendly and quick. I like the neat ambiance and there was plenty of seating. Most had no back seating though. I do wish they had smaller sizes this was too much latte for one.
Tasty Vietnamese coffee with a curated menu highlighting both traditional and modern flavors. The phin dripped coffee is robust and gives you that immediate rush of caffeine. The egg coffee is both sweet and bold, giving a custard-like effect. The banana coffee is infused with real banana and Nutella but didn't overpower the coffee. It's so well balanced! The pandan latte is lightly fragrant and reminds me of how a sweet and floral perfume would taste. It's topped with a velvety pandan cream. Service was really quick.
I've heard so many great things about this place and stopped by right before meeting a friend at the Seattle Marathon! Food & drink: (4/5) I don't drink coffee but I'm a sucker for Vietnamese coffee. My partner got one (not sure which) that was absolutely delicious and had a delectable foam top. For Viet coffee, I tend to look for a deep caramel flavor and a slight saltiness. This met all the marks. He also got a cinnamon roll, which was good but also just a cinnamon roll. I did love how fluffy it was and it had the classic spiced flavor. I got an iced gloomy matcha, which is a matcha with sesame creme. I thought this was just ok. Both the sesame and matcha flavor weren't as strong as I would've liked but I'm still glad to have tried it. Service (5/5): Amazing staff! I was a little confused when I first walked in because I didn't see any menus, but they quickly pointed me to it at the front counter lol. Other notes: Not sure if this is a place I would study at since table seating is very limited and chairs are small. As for parking, there's street parking out front and a bunch of free spaces around the general area.
Aroom Coffee is well-known and loved for their Vietnamese-style coffee drinks. A few of us were at Aroom catching up this past Thursday afternoon. I was unsure what to order, but the barista I talked to was really helpful in making suggestions based on my preferences. I decided to order off of their Matcha list since the Aroom Signatures would have been too sweet. GLOOMY MATCHA (ICED) - 7 +1 for oat milk The matcha latte was very creamy, and the oat milk definitely enhanced it. The sesame cream mixed well with the drink, and it wasn't too sweet! However, there was a bit of bitterness at the end that I didn't enjoy. Overall, good drink, but expensive. My friends got the Vietnamese coffee-based drinks and indeed it was incredibly sweet which the enjoyed. The interior is nice and and clean, and I understand why people love Aroom.
Seattle has its fair share of great Vietnamese coffee (I'm jealous) and wish this was the trend for the rest country... each drink feels like it was personally crafted for you. We tried the banana bread, latte, egg, coffee, latte, and Pandan latte. All three were amazing. The Vibin aesthetic here is also very trendy cool and laid-back. I see it more as a place you would gather with friends to meet up with and talk versus study or work.
We first paid a visit to Aroom in mid-2024, when we tried their signature sesame latte and pate & pork floss house cake. Everything was fine but nothing stood out. The coffee wasn't strong enough flavor-wise, and the pate in the house cake taste weird. Time went by and we returned to Aroom in 2025 to try other items. This time we found our favorites - banana coffee and banana matcha were both super delicious. The banana coffee was very strong, both flavor-wise and its potency. The plain house cake was delicious too. The nutty cloud (vegan) was also tasty - they did a good job not letting the nutty cream overpower the coffee. My only complaint now is how much ice they put into the banana matcha - for $7 before-tax, the actual drink is probably less than 8 oz, as they fill more than half the cup with ice, even when I requested less ice... That price - portion ratio is insane even for Seattle...
One of my fave Asian coffee places in Seattle! Inside: this place is so cutie and lots of seating! Parking: there's ample parking around the neighborhood Drinks: I got the banana matcha and it's so good! It's on the sweeter side, but I don't mind it. My friend got the sesame matcha and it's not as sweet I would rate this a 10/10 and recommend if you're looking for a coffee/matcha place that has Asian flavors
My sister and I came here for a little coffee date and were really impressed with the salty coffee and the Saigon brown -- both were so good! The coffee was rich and creamy and most importantly not too sweet. I also tried the gloomy matcha, which honestly wasn't great. I even had them remake it, but it still tasted super watery and bland. I know a lot of people rave about the matcha here, so maybe I just caught a bad batch? The café itself is super aesthetic and I love the décor -- definitely Instagram-worthy. Parking is street parking, which isn't the most convenient, but I've never had too much trouble finding a spot nearby.
Finally popped in here when I was nearby and glad I did! The cashier was so friendly and helpful. She even let me taste the sesame and pandan flavors of cream so I could decide which one I wanted. I ended up getting the sesame iced matcha. It was very creamy and delicious. Very cute ambiance, and busy on the weekend. It could be a good place to get some work done if a bit quieter I think.
10/10 matcha but also a really cool cafe! We ordered the iced pandan matcha, sesame matcha, regular matcha latte, and pandan latte. All were delicious. I do recommend asking for half-sweet for the pandan latte because the sweet cold foam can be overwhelming, but it was sooo delicious. I'm surprised I liked it so much because it wasn't actually an espresso based drink, it was Vietnamese drip coffee! So glad I tried it. The space is very chic and modern/japandi style. Can definitely set up shop and study or hang with friends. It's not cozy per se, but not uncomfortable or cold. Parking: street parking, we got lucky and found a spot near the front of the shop, but we also went on a Monday afternoon. Next time, I'd love to go grab a drink then enjoy it at Gasworks Park!
Credit goes to Yelp Elite/IGer Wendy K and her colleague Yelper/IGer & professional stacker Thao N for putting Aroom Coffee on my radar screen. I had been anticipating their grand opening (7/22/22) after seeing posts from the earlier soft opening celebration. Aroom Coffee is located at 38th and Stone Way, near Art of the Table and Eames NW, midway between Wallingford and Fremont neighborhoods. First impression arriving onsite was that the high ceiling, natural light, and mixture of seating configurations were really appealing. Very welcoming, genuine smiles, and one can feel the positive vibe from another family run indie business. There was quite a turnout at 830am and I had an opportunity to hang out for an hour onsite. I ordered a 16 oz iced Saigon Brown ($6) and the recommended Viet Sticky Rice ($9.50), with tax and tip totaled a little over $20, which is a bit of a splurge for breakfast. I was also able to receive one of the free 100 totes and entered their drawing. A lot of thought went into this cafe space, the menu items, and overall distinct aesthetic. Bright and airy. Juxtaposition of spare decor, indoor tree, seating, organic tones. The iced coffee laced with condensed milk hit the spot. But what really was amazing was the recommended Viet Sticky Rice. Beautiful presentation and enjoyed the savory flavors and overall texture. Dined with a spork, lol. Quite the palate pleaser! There is a growing list of popular destinations for Vietnamese style coffee such as Coffeeholic, Sip House, Phin, Hello Em, Queen CaPhe, Voi Ca Phe...welcomed addition now includes Aroom Coffee! Finally stopped by on my day off around noon. Beautiful modern minimalist space that was packed but well organized. I was able to order quickly & given a pager which I appreciated to avoid lingering by the counter for my drink. I tried one of their bestsellers the Gloomy Matcha. What a treat! Super unique drink that has nutty almost toasted marshmallow notes!!? Wonderful, something you will have to experience for yourself. I had the opportunity to visit Aroom for the first time after hearing friends rave about it in person and on social media. This shop offers a variety of delicious coffee and tea, perfect for any occasion. The drinks tasted high quality with each sip. I ordered the Sesame Latte and I must say, this drink was a hit! The toasty flavors of the black sesame mixed with the warmness of the latte is like a gentle hug for your insides. I would recommend this drink for all sesame lovers or anyone looking to try some fun latte flavors. The service was okay. I would say it was more confusing than anything. As I approached the counter, the staff kind of just pointed out the menu and did not greet or say anything. The menu had a QR code so I assumed that's how you order, but I assumed incorrectly. I eventually let the staff know I was ready to order, the drinks came out quickly and everything was fine! I loved the modern ambiance. The space wasn't too small or too large. This area was filled with many furry friends too! As a dog lover, I enjoyed seeing the doggos walking around enjoying the sunny day. All in all, Aroom is worth the hype. Let me start off this review by stating the somewhat blasphemous (especially in Seattle) and rather controversial statement: I don't drink coffee because, simply, I don't like coffee. I survived college, grad school, and the working life without it, and I scoff at those who depend on it to jumpstart their day (cough, my wife). With all that being said, Aroom Coffee does serve up a mean and delicious cup of Vietnamese coffee. First off, huge congratulations to its recent opening! There's a huge gathering of people lined up outside the coffee shop, and rightly and deservedly so. I ordered the Coconut Coffee, 16 oz., and not only was it sweet buy it was so good, especially in the summer heat. The interior of the coffee shop boasts a minimalistic design with the luxury of AC, a perfect place to grab your laptop and work remotely. After downing my drink, I'm already yearning for another one. On top of that, hats off to the service. The baristas were kind and nice, and they gave a suggestion to my wife to order the sesame latte with the promise of making her a new one if she didn't like it. That customer service and friendliness can go miles, and my wife and I both appreciated the friendly ambiance. I somewhat prided myself of being that anomaly of not drinking coffee to get my caffeine fix and not needing to depend on it to start my day. One of the best coffee shops I have found so far! I love coming here Everytime I am in Fremont! This is one of my go to places to show people when I want to impress them. They have Vietnamese style iced coffees which are so yummy! I've gotten the salty coffee and black sesame here before. I loved both of them. The interior is super cute and minimalistic. I love the ambiance, and they always have cute decor for the holidays. I probably wouldn't go here to study though since it seems to be pretty busy. I've never been during the week, but the weekends you'll definitely see a lot of people going in and out of the shop. I brought a big group of friends here and they all seemed to like their drinks as well. Definitely recommend hitting this place up before or after the Fremont Sunday Market! read more
Absolutely love this contemporary Vietnamese-style café, it's so vibrant yet cozy and it's the perfect date/hangout/study spot! I cannot get over how wonderful the peach tea tastes as well, it's so fresh with fruity accents. The salty cream isn't too heavy, and added a nice subtle creaminess to my drink. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I had a sip of my boyfriend's Saigon Brown and was surprised how light it tastes! It wasn't overpowering and I enjoyed it as well. The service is also friendly, even during busy hours. I would love to come here again! read more
Finally got to try this place, it's been on my list for a long time. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee & I tried their house "cake" with pork floss. Was superrrrr yummy, it almost tastes like a sweet waffle mix and the bit of savoriness from the pork floss was perfect. The coffee was exactly what I was looking for in a Vietnamese iced coffee, strong and not overly sweet. Will definitely come back again. read more

It's a really aesthetic shop but I personally wasn't a fan of the drinks. I got the matcha and it tasted grainy and I couldn't finish it and poured it out. My friend got a coffee and it's fine that she spilled it because we wouldn't have been able to finish that one either. read more
We went for a quick bite and coffee. We got the egg coffee and bac siu and asked for less sweet if able. Barista said ok to make half sugar. Also got a house cake, it's pancake batter with filling made in a triangle panini form. The coffee was strong but so so sweet. Food was ok, wish they had more pastries to choose from. Overall quite pricey, but very aesthetic and roomy place it enjoy a cup of coffee. read more
Holy hell this place has some good caffeinated drinks! I chose to get the sesame matcha while my partner chose to get the sesame latte. Between the coffee and matcha drinks, we felt that the coffee tasted much more rich and deep in flavor with the sesame flavoring. However, I still highly enjoyed the matcha drink! Besides that, the interior is well-lit by natural lighting and fit with a busy atmosphere and minimalist tables. The staff are friendly and polite. Loved the coffee here, especially their signature sesame latte! The interior is beautiful, however seating is very limited. We ended up sitting outside next to the apartment complex, but the stench of dog pee was very pungent. Parking is not the easiest if you come on a weekend and I don't think it's in the best neighborhood. But! It is worth to try, I definitely will be coming back if I'm in the area :) read more

My new favorite cafe! Every drink we had here was delicious, but my personal fav is the sesame latte. The balance between sweet and nutty is perfect, and the sesame flavor really comes through. This place had the most delicious coffee that we came back again a few hours later.... The lattes/coffee was so good, especially with the flavored cream/foam. The ambiance and service were amazing, calming, and friendly. We fell in love with this place during our trip. Parking is on the street and I will definitely miss this place. read more

Issa vibe. Pleasant interior with plenty of natural lighting and not too cramped. Came here for Saturday morning coffee and finding street parking was not too bad. House cake with pate and pork floss really hit the spot for a quick breakfast bite. It looks flat and plain, but the pork really hits and it's very savory. The sesame latte was pretty tasty, even as a non sesame fan. The drink was smooth and still had its Vietnamese coffee characteristics that I love. I'd definitely come back here for another morning of good coffee and vibes. read more

The sesame latte had a subtle sesame flavor that complimented the coffee nicely, not too sweet. The salty coffee at first was too salty but as it sat, the ice melted becoming more palatable. Lots of natural light and minimal design with natural touches. Nice place to get some work done or catch up with a friend! read more
Get the gloomy matcha! It's black sesame on top of a classic matcha, and it's amazing. I've also tried Aroom's egg coffee, and it's way too sweet for me. If you have a big sweet tooth, I'd give it a try though. I would also highly recommend their house special waffle with pate! read more
We were greeted right when we walked in. The woman at the front who helped us was so kind and recommended some drinks for us. Parking is a little odd so we parked in the neighborhood. We came in a weekday and it wasn't crowded. I love the simplicity of the interior and I like that they had places to sit inside. As for the drinks, they are amazing! Sweet but also strong. We asked for light ice but our cups were pretty full of ice so I'm not sure if they gave us light ice or not. We ended up getting the coconut coffee and the sesame drinks! read more
All the drinks are so good - I ordered 2 while hanging out here with friends. Egg cream is a more balanced alternative for lactose intolerant friends. The sesame cream was also intense (slightly overpowered the matcha so it became more of a sesame latte) but delicious The waffle toasty had a nice texture but the pate was slightly bland. Music volume was also a little high so bring headphones if you're trying to work here! read more

Very cute and aesthetic cafe. I got the popular gloomy matcha and I can see why it's a top choice. Very bold matcha flavor with a creamy sesame topping. It is a bit on the sweet side but very delicious. There are a few tables which are nice to study or work at. I'm looking forward to coming here again! Stayed in Seattle for 5 days and came here for three!! It was that good. We fell in love with the gloomy matcha, the sesame cream with the matcha is so amazing. They really blend the sesame well and fine that there's no chunks or grains that stick to my throat. The service was so quick and the vibes inside the shop are always so relaxing. The wood accents with the lights are done so well. There's also seats outside too! Will definitely come back if I'm ever in Seattle again. read more

Seating: Packed! Came on a Sunday afternoon and finding a seat was hard. Primarily Asian crowd which is always a good sign for an Asian coffee shop. Not necessarily the energy for a WFH or study spot, but maybe midweek when the crowd is different. Coffee: SO good. Vietnamese coffee is always powerful and hits the spot. As an oat milk drinker, I couldn't substitute it for some drinks but I asked for it to be added to my Saigon Black. Food: Few bites, unfortunately nothing for my gluten free partner but the house cakes with pork floss was yummy for me. Service: Quick and positive! Parking: Street parking - found a spot 5min away in a neighborhood. read more

Drinks: 9/10 Aroom specializes in Vietnamese inspired coffee, so the caffeine content is definitely up there. I had the Sesame Latte and Saigon Brown-- both of which I highly recommend. The Sesame Latte has a rich, nutty flavor, slightly on the sweeter side. Make sure to mix in the sesame blend! The Saigon Brown is INTENSE. Very rich coffee flavor, also slightly on the sweeter side. Space: 7/10 This place gets crowded, and seating is limited. It's definitely a nice environment to work in, but getting outlet access is difficult. I went in on a workday around 10am and had to wait 15 minutes for a table to clear. But it definitely clears up in the afternoon. Lighting is great, and the seats are comfortable. read more

Came here for the aesthetics and will be returning for the aesthetics (and awesome coffee). Ordered the sesame latte as it seems to be highly recommended and quite unique. If you're Chinese you might be familiar with a dessert called black sesame soup (黑芝麻糊). Their sesame latte is topped with a thiccc (with 3 c's) version of black sesame soup which was delicious. It stayed on top of the drink due to its thickness which meant every sip of coffee came with a dollop of black sesame! A new neighborhood coffee shop. Seating is limited if you're trying to get work done here. A couple tables adequate for laptop work but otherwise it's more for sitting and catching up with friends. read more

Cute Vietnamese coffee shop in Fremont! I love the minimalist decor, and there were so many Asian inspired drinks to choose from. FYI a lot of the coffee drinks have dairy in them because of the condensed milk. I decided to try the nutty cloud (vegan), and it was yummy even though I'm not super into peanut butter! The shop was very busy on a late Saturday morning with many customers taking their coffees to go. There was some seating but they were mostly all taken during our visit. It doesn't seem like a good place to study/work unless you like a lot of background noise and movement. read more

First of all...I think I finally found my favorite coffee place in Seattle! I could see myself treating myself to a beverage from Aroom every weekend. Lol, just take my money already! *shakes fist* I ordered the gloomy matcha latte with soy milk, and my partner got the house favorite sesame latte. He does not like caffeinated beverages, but he instantly approved of this one after taking his first sip of his latte. It was just that good. What I loved most was the black sesame cream. It gave the lattes the perfect fragrant nutty flavor, and I freaking love a good black sesame flavour. Paired with the matcha was chefs kiss. (The black sesame cream made me feel nostalgic as it reminded me of an Asian dessert my mom made growing up...a warm bowl of sweet black sesame soup.) There are a lot of coffee shops in Seattle with an Asian twist, but the beverages here definitely taste authentic. They are not watered down, and they are very flavorful. read more
