Food: Sister and I came here for brunch. It was a little over $25 per person for buffet. Buffet consisted of watermelon and pineapple (would be cool if they offered chamoy and tajin), oriental chicken salad which needed more dressing, tater tots, sausage, bacon, churros, waffles, French toast, cucumber salad which had too much dill and needed a creamer dressing, kung pao tofu, orange chicken, chow mein, terryaki wings which was okay, a little tough, sweet and sour pork which is the best dish in the buffet, sautéed vegetables, fried rice, Mongolia beef and garlic shrimp and cake. It's a good deal and you get served the food instead of everyone walking around touching everything. Service- Great. The host and waitress was nice. They did offer us one container to take food home. I asked for a second one since my sister and i live separately, they said they only gave one per table so I asked to pay for it. They obliged and said we did not need to pay, but said it was one container per table. There was no cheesecake. Just chocolate cake and carrot cake. The carrot cake was okay. I should have tried the chocolate cake. Overall, not bad for $25.95 a person. Ambiance was casual. read more

Expectation Vs reality. I expected a buffet with a little more variety. And hotter food. In reality tho I wish the omelette was an actual omelette and not eggs with stuff on the top!! Although what i had was flavorful. I just wish it was hot and not luke warm. I definitely wish the smothered potatoes were cooked through and soft. Because they tasted really good. I do however really like how the breakfast meats were cooked well done. Not burnt but just right!! Staff is friendly but forgetful. Lol don't be thirst or need napkins. First time coming & it was an excellent experience. The door wait was literally 1 minute wait. Our server Hector was very attentive to our needs with not letting our coffee cups empty. Party of 3 for dinner which is fairly new for this establishment and they definitely need some work. We were the first to arrive at 6pm to dinner service and they were not prepared for us. There was no server, only a busser that was too young to serve cocktails so we had to wait for someone to return to the restaurant for adult beverages. We ordered 3 steak dinner meals and all of the meats were not prepared as requested. All either over or under cooked. The baked potatoes were very very over done. 2 meals were sent back and unfortunately even once they came back the temps were still off and not medium well as requested. We were also given the same old baked potatoes with toppings that were not correct. The place has so much potential but they will definitely need to work out the kinks to satisfy customers adequately moving forward. In the pic I drenched my potatoes in some salsa I had at home. Shit was fuckin delicious. My mans ordered the fruity pebble waffles combo with eggs and bacon. He said it was good. Parking can be tricky. You may have to park in the neighborhood or, if you park in the lots behind the businesses on the north side of Tower District, you will have to walk. Large menu to choose from. It will take awhile to get your food so be patient. Service can be sporadic if the restaurant is busy. I had to hunt down a server to get our checks and box up leftovers. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. It can be noisy due to hard surfaces. read more

Had heard of this place for years but never got a chance to try it out. I will say this, I would 100% come here for the bottomless mimosa deal...in part because because getting service here was rough and having a full bottle already at your table will make it a lot easier! That aside, the place is cute, the hostess worked quickly to get us sat, and genuinely I think the bottomless mimosa would be a good deal (although I got another cocktail myself). It's a little pricey but the food is decent, nothing exemplary but good. The service was the worst part by far. The place was moderately busy in the afternoon for a Sunday brunch, but when we were seated, it took a while to get anything, even waters (which we had to ask twice for). We felt we needed to have our orders together immediately upon seating because seeing our waitress was few and far between. She was apologetic to a degree but by then we were ready to just get the check and go somewhere else for more drinks where the service was faster (highly recommend Splash next door!). The cherry on top was the busser came around while my eating companion was literally holding his burger mid bite and asked if he could take his plate! We each asked if he was serious because who asks to take a plate while someone's eating?? We were busting up after, it became a game to see how long it would take to get service. I'll give grace that maybe it was just a short staffed Sunday or maybe she was having a bad day, but there are way better and cheaper places to eat in Tower with service that is more attentive (El Patio is another spot right next door!). On our daughter's birthday, she wanted to go to a breakfast brunch buffet. I looked through several possible places. We wanted to try something new. I chose Aromas through Yelp reviews. They were mostly positive reviews and comments. We took three additional family and a friend. It is located in the Tower. It's a very clean, nice place to eat. The staff is friendly and helpful. No complaints. Upon entering the restaurant we were seated and given menus. Our waitress explained how to order and what to do first. It was so confusing we had to ask for additional help. Secondly, you have to order what you want to eat by filling out an order form with your name on it. At this point you can go to the actual buffet. The buffet ($30.00 per person) is very different. It is located behind glass windows. When you are ready to choose your food, a waiter is there (behind a glass window) to serve your food. You have to point to what you want. The waiter then puts your food on a plate and gives it to you. The next step is to go to your table to eat your selections. While you are eating, your first order is brought to your table. It was so confusing and unorganized that most of us didn't eat half our food. The next problem was some really boisterous and noisy customers came to eat. It was so noisy we could not hear each other talk. I brought a birthday cake for my daughter. We had to leave because it was so noisy. Overall, it was a very bad experience that cost $190.00. The food in my opinion was not pleasing or good. I suggest that when fellow Yelpers write reviews, be honest in your assessments. To his credit, the owner apologized to us. So I had lunch for breakfast, tuna melt with garlic fries cuz I ain't kiss'n nobody lol. This was a very tempting selection, like who doesn't like toasted Parmesan sourdoughthe tomatoes were grilled as well and the tuna was not your typical canned tuna smothered in Mayo. A lil messy cuz grilled tomatoes can be like that but all is good. Garlic fries were crisp and could have used a lil more garlic flavor but still good fries. We were looking for a place to go for breakfast. Proximity as well as stars were high on my want list. Aromas has been on my radar for awhile now , and since I was taking the family out, i got to choose where to go. We walked in and waited for a seat. It was interesting to see the food getting cooked right in front of us. It was like watching a cook in a good truck. After a bit we were seated around to the right. Our hostess was very nice. As I looked around, I pondered about the thought of using the room for a small gathering, but then something else came to mind. It was pretty loud back there. It was a combination of the radio and hard walls that seemed to amplify the voices of everyone. The radio is a simple fix, but loud people will be loud. Another thing we asked about was the fan. It was a bit cold, so they turned it off for us. Gripes aside, let's get to the food. I ordered the country fried steak, which was great. My son got a burger and my wife the chicken and waffles. She didn't care for the waffles as she likes hers crispy. These were fluffy. My oldest got a burger, which was bigger than his mouth, so he loved that. My daughter took a bite and said it was really good too. Don't remember what she got but she finished it surprisingly as the rest of us had leftovers. And of course, the youngest got pancakes with extra sugar in the form of candy, syrup or marshmallows. I forget which, and he ate it all up. Overall, what Aromas got me excited about was to try El Patio, their sister restaurant next door. The service here was exceptional that's for sure. It's been awhile since I've eaten anywhere the service was so good. Not at the point of being bothersome, which I've had. It was genuine and at the right amount. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the to-go boxes were great too. They aren't the flimsy one time use type that you normally get. My friends and I actually came here for the Sunday brunch buffet, but it didn't look very good (a little plain and didn't look fresh), so we ended up just going with their regular menu. I got the chicken fried steak and my friends got the ribeye & eggs, and everything was really good! We were definitely surprised how perfect the steaks were after seeing the buffet. The chicken fried steak was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The ambiance was a bit odd--a mixture of families and groups who came for bottomless mimosas (like us lol). The mimosas were okay--some were stronger than others. Apparently, they make them in carafes, so you have two flavor options per round but they're not always the same. Our server kept them flowing since we would ask for another round as soon as we were close to finishing the last (pro tip!). Overall, I think I would actually come back to this place! I've been eyeing this place. Located at Tower District in-front of Banzai. This place is huge. We were greeted at the front and seated promptly. Took a minute to look over the menu because we couldn't decide if we wanted breakfast or lunch. Tiffany our server was amazing. She was very kind and attentive. She took our drink order and brought it. My husband ordered the kebab plate and I had the grilled lemon herb salmon with rice pilaf and garlic mash and gravy. We ordered chicken tenders with fries for our daughter from the kids menu. They also provided color pencils and paper for her to draw on. Waited about 20 min for our food. It all looked good and the portions were huge. Everything was piping hot. The chicken tenders and fries were perfect. Crunchy on the out and I loved the fact that it wasn't greasy and the chicken was so tender. The fries were yummy both soft with nice crunch! My 16 month old daughter enjoyed it. My grilled salmon was perfect. It had a nice crust on the outside. They also gave us complimentary desserts and we chose their churro it was a nice sweet treat to top off a really good very filling lunch. Highly recommend. I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The one star is for our server. The rest of the staff didn't crack a smile once. The people who looked to be running the place just stood around and glared. Pretty unwelcoming. They looked at us sitting there without drinks and our menus on the table while they served every other table around us. And? It wasn't even busy yet. When we finally got service she said they never told her about our table. From other reviews it seems this happens often. Like more often than it should. The server was apologetic and very kind. The only bright spot during this visit. Food was ok after they brought out several plates that weren't ours. Food was overpriced for what it was. When we left the same people never smiled or said goodbye. We walked past them and not a single show of gratitude. It's evident that they only show kindness to chosen people. Pretty disappointing. I should've listened to the other reviews but unfortunately place this wasn't my choice. Save your time and money and go to the Waffle Place. Where service and food are always prompt and delicious.
