I don't know if the guy that made it came from Chukchansi because he made it the way it's supposed to be made not small and skimpy and the Tampra lobster was fire. I asked Mia our waitress to make sure it was a good size and she made it happen because sometimes it comes out like it was a baby lobster. The service was great from the front host knowing who we are she is always great to the waitress Mia had a smile the whole time, even though the table in front of us had a grouchy old lady besides I asked her for a certain sauce she knew exactly what I meant. Sometimes when I ask for it, it's the opposite. Mia also made sure my glass was not empty. and was constantly checking up on us. very comfortable when coming to our table not so tense and overwhelmed. and as far as the restaurant inside tables were clean, the light was a bit too dimmed Maybe because it was dark outside. I think when dark, you should raise the lighting a bit more versus when it's daytime and the temperature was a bit cold where I was sitting felt like there was a fan. The restaurant was also super cold inside, which made it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the meal. The only thing I really enjoyed was the beautiful view overlooking the Central Valley. There is also a lounge area where you can order drinks while waiting to be seated. We came here with family to celebrate Father's Day and my mother-in-law's birthday. Our chef, Brian, was excellent! He kept everyone entertained with tricks, socialized with the table, and was a great cook. My son always loves teppanyaki, especially when they do the fire volcano. It was nice that they offered a kids' menu and were accommodating with allergies. Both my son's bento kids meal and my sister-in-law's meal were prepared separately in the back, and the staff handled everything without any issues. I ordered the salmon, and it was delicious. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and he said it was very delicious as well. Dinner included soup, salad, and ice cream or mochi for dessert. The restaurant is very trendy, clean well maintained and the setting is perfect The food was excellent the chef was super nice, friendly and engaging with everyone. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5 star is because it took so long to get the cooking started our waitress took long periods in between to refill our water or get the next food item. I honestly think this is the best restaurant in the area since it has the trifecta of outstanding service, delicious food (teppanyaki as well as sushi, udon soups, tempura, etc.) and the most gorgeous ambiance on the 11th floor - the sunsets are divine! Service was okay. I was honestly unhappy with how our waitress basically had very poor knowledge of the happy hour menu. That is always a very big pet peeve to me. I truly believe that the server plays a big role in what you order. I had asked some questions about the portions of the happy hour menu. The happy hour menu offers sushi rolls. I asked how many pieces do the rolls come with. Our waitress said only 6 pieces. The standard roll comes with 8, so I was reluctant to order one. I ended up ordering one even though I originally wanted to have 2 orders. When it came to the table, the roll actually had 8 pieces. It's not a big deal but I ended up having to wait again for another order to come because I added another on since it was 8 pieces. I also ordered the yakitori beef skewers. She stated there would be 2 skewers with 4 cubes of steak on each skewer. When it came there was only 3 pieces on each. Her being wrong two times was irritating because I honestly would've ordered differently had I been told the right information. The ambiance in here at 6pm absolutely sucked. There was no vibes. It was disappointing. We were also placed all alone away from other tables. Our menus were never removed from the table. Our table was barely checked on. Our bowls were dirty prior to us even eating. For the value, I would give it 2/5 stars. Quality of food was OK 3/5. The beef yakitori skewers came with rice and the rice had a hardened bottom to it. It tasted like day old rice. So terrible. Luckily for me, we ordered off the happy hour menu and the menu items were reduced in price. Honestly expect the quality to be reduced as well. Very very disappointing and sad. First of all, the view of the valley and golf course is incredible. Once you check in, you get sent over to the lounge to see this view. Our chef was very nice and cooked our food very well and favored it great. The craft drinks were also excellent. The only knock on this would be the service. They didn't come to take away our soup and salad bowls until the end and no one ever bothered to refill our waters. I can't remember the name of the dessert, but it was a scoop of ice cream inside what was like a fondant but texturally felt more like a sweat sock. We were a party of 3, but they added a "large party" tip to our bill not giving us the opportunity to choose what to tip. Would we go back? Definitely, because the food and drink were good. The things I loved most about my time at Sukai were that 7 of my friends and I could sit together easily and comfortably while we watched out guy do his thing. He was great by the way. I think that they still need to get additional servers or tighten up the service. All very friendly and helpful however just a little slow. We had to leave our table (had to) to get drinks from the bar only to then learn and see that our drinks were left on the middle table just not yet served to us. Did a server go missing? As usual teppanyaki is delicious however the rice was not cooked enough and that is just sad. Give it try. Enjoy yourself but have medium expectations for the food and service. Food 10/10 - Sukai is the best teppan restaurant in the Fresno Area. The quality of the New York steak was top notch. It was cooked medium well yet it was still "melt in your mouth". The chicken was tender and juicy with a little charboil. We also got bacon fried rice which is not common in teppan places (they usually don't have bacon or upcharge). If you don't want bacon, they can also make fried rice without bacon. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. It came with the hot n spicy sauce (additional charge). Teppan chef 8/10 - He was friendly and nice; asked questions to engage the audience and had a few fancy tricks which was entertaining. I wished he would have been more engaging with the guests whether that meant more tricks or just asking questions or making jokes. Overall, he was professional and cooked our meal well so no complaints there. Server 5/10 - this is where I was a little disappointed and had to take away a star from my review. The server was nice and friendly. She took our order and drinks promptly. However, once our teppan chef was there, she was nowhere to be found. I had an empty glass of water almost the entire time during my meal as I didn't see our server anywhere. I had to ask the chef and the chef had to stop cooking and go ask someone to fill our water. I don't think that is customary and I'm sure the chef also didn't appreciate that as that's not his job. So it was a little annoying how our server didn't tend to us after the chef came out. She showed up at the end with out check and boxes but that was about it. My recommendation to make this a 5 star review would be to ensure the server at least circulates the teppan tables 1-2 times while the guests are dining to ask for refills and take dishes away. Overall, I had an amazing experience and was really happy with the experience. It was my first time here but it won't be my last! The Bao Bun Chicken Tacos were very unique and tasty. I really liked how the eel sauce complimented the flavor that made it complete! The service was Awesome! The bartender was very nice and helpful she even took us outside to see the upcoming Christmas village and Ice skating rink. We thought that was great because we didn't know about it. The food was really good, and the drinks were super tasty--Tara, our bartender, was fantastic. Prices are a bit on the higher side but still reasonable. Service was a little slow at first--it took over 10 minutes just to be greeted, even though there were fewer than 10 people at the bar--but the warm, lively atmosphere made up for it. I met my friend and her family here to celebrate her 40th birthday. The restaurant sits on the top of the 12th floor of their hotel. One thing that stood out was the level of service received by all of the staff. From the point of checking in to be seated, everyone greeted us warmly. We had a cocktail in the bar prior to dinner and the bar area although quite chilly, was beautiful. They have an incredible wraparound balcony that you can sit on and take in the views while sipping your cocktail. We enjoyed our teppenyaki chef who was friendly and provided entertaining cooking practices throughout our dinner. I ordered the New York strip and Shrimp and everything was delicious. We got to the reception and they checked our reservation before letting us use the elevator to the restaurant. We were seated right away. We didn't get to seat by the window so we missed the sunset. I would've waited to enjoy it. Next time. We were enjoying our meal and having a great chat. We order our drinks. I got the Honey Deuce and my Aunt got the Toki Old Fashioned. I got Vodka and my Aunt got whiskey. They were very good. I ordered the fried Tofu meal came with fried rice and lots of veggies. I did love that. My Aunt got the chicken and shrimp meal. We really enjoy the food very much. My Aunt mentioned that the chicken was cooked the way she liked it. I was so into the conversation and enjoying my food that I forgot the picture before. I would say that the drinks were on the pricey side. Be aware of that. After our dinner we stepped out side the balcony and stay there for a long while enjoying the view l, the weather, and our conversations. It was a very nice evening at the Sukai. Located inside Table Mountain Casino. If you're coming in through the parking garage, check in for Sukai will be on the right of the Native's coffee. After you check in, they'll guide you to the elevators- restaurant is upstairs on the 12th floor! Definitely need reservations to dine-in, I believe they only work on a reservation schedule. It is our second time dining here and everyone from check-in staff, waiters, and chef have been extremely kind. It can feel kind of busy in there but the staff make you feel comfortable right away. You'll be sharing a table with a few other people if your reservation does not fill all the seats. The night we visited, we were a party of four and were seated with a party of five to fill in most of the seats. Teppanyaki is usually ordered from the menu, but if you decide to opt out, there is a wide selection of other appetizers, food items and sushi plates. We opted out of Teppanyaki for this dinner and decided to do appetizers and sushi! We had the fried calamari, the rainbow roll and the rancheria roll. I would definitely recommend- the rolls were absolutely delicious. Our friends ordered the new york strip and the new york strip and lobster combo teppanyaki, which were both SO delicious as well. Nothing could've gone wrong here! After the teppanyaki chef is finished, you'll get plenty of time to eat your dinner, if you haven't already started. Waiters will come around after you've finished, with your bill and some boxes if needed. Overall it was a very a fun experience, regardless if you've ordered the teppanyaki meal or not. The last time I ate here was in 2023 for my bday and my teppanyaki curse continues of being relegated to the corner (recently happened at Hino too and being forgotten about by the teppanyaki chef) I have shared a photo of my review from 2023 of being forgotten about when it comes to Teppanyaki and other restaurant. I usually take a day off work to prepare for dinner plans. However, this was a last minute galentines date. Wait time was short, but wait time at table was very long. While chef was cooking, my bff wanted a fireball from the bar and there were 4 workers there and took forever. When I returned, Chef gave everyone veggies and mine did not have one mushroom in it so I let the chef know as I am paying almost $60 plus my other items for my meal, I wanted to get what it comes with. He just stared blankly at me. This was my first vday out after my separation and it just wasn't a great experience, especially since I drove 30 minutes just for dinner. My bff wanted a fireball from the bar and they took a really long time. Food was good, but meat took so long to cook that I finished with my rice by the time it was done. Then, when he cleaned and did the fire show, he let everyone blow out the fire stick, but me and completely skipped me and had another girl blow it out twice. Not only was this food delicious (and cooked perfectly), the service was outstanding. To start off, the ladies ordered a rose sparkling wine. When it arrived, the bottle was already opened and the server started to pour. I pointed out that it was rose wine, not sparkling. It was mid-labeled on the menu. The server recommended a different sparkling rose. When it came, the ladies tasted it and said yes. But after a few sips decided it was sickly sweet and too floral. I told the server they didn't like the sparkling but understood they opened the bottle and drank some, so it was okay, but ordered a glass of really good champagne for my wife. About 3 minutes later, a manager showed up, apologized and said she was sorry that they didn't like the floral sparkling, and took it all away, replacing it with half glasses of Prosecco to see if they liked it. They did, but I still ordered them a glass each of Veuve Clicquot. Divine. We each had variations of the menu. The steak (both NY strip and Filet Mignon) were cooked to perfection, as was the chicken. Shrimp was excellent (could have been cooked another minute) and father-in-law loved his scallops and sea bass!! All in all, a great experience and incredible food. Honestly, I would come out here for the golden hour view. It's very romantic, very sexy. Great idea for a date if you want to seal the deal. The bar has this technology that charges your phone directly on the bar. I tried some small bites somewhere hit and miss. I did not like these cocktails. They were too bitter for me. I liked their mocktail, but I did not care for the paper straw and the strawberries getting caught in it and not being able to drink my drink. The aesthetic was sleek and fresh. The view was amazing.
