Our first time dining at Aroma's and it won't be the last. We started with a huge Bloody Mary. Then for breakfast we tried a chili verde omelet, chicken fried steak and a blueberry pancake. We were stuffed and very satisfied from our meal. Our server Evan was great and offered to bring the side pancake since I was torn between the two orders. The bread items (empanadas, waffle, French toast) are more of a gamble with getting them hot, but you can fill up on plenty of other food. They serve Peet's coffee, which is good. The only problem were the country potatoes. They were basically just fried cubes of potatoes. They were quite disappointing. $18 for this is a rip off. There was more bun than meat. The meat was overcooked, dry and tough to chew. The sauce was okay. The only thing worth mentioning is that it wasn't as salty as other places. Onion rings were okay, not as good as Habit Burger's onion rings. $8 for a tiny glass of mimosa is also a rip-off. Food was delicious, service good. The potato was nailed nicely. Sometimes potato products are a bit too wet, these were cooked to perfection; the baked parts just crispy enough without being too dry and crumbly like a microwaved noodle, and the interior cooked well but not too wet. My sister-in-law found this place on Instagram that she wanted to try. When I looked over to see him checking every glass in the kitchen he would not stop until he found a suitable glass for me to drink from which I really appreciated him being discreet about the situation because I did not want to draw attention the manager even gave us free drinks to make up for the mishap one thing that I really do appreciate about this particular restaurant they had stands to hold your purse ladies how cool is that a restaurant to catered to us and our purses the food was awesome. I had a steak and potato breakfast with fried egg. My steak and my eggs were cooked to perfection did not disappoint one bit. The steak was so big it was big enough to feed two adults I could not eat all of that by myself. The portions were a good size that I had to get a to go box because I filled up pretty quickly. The food was so good. My eyes were bigger than my stomach that day. I guess that's a good thing my favorite part of having brunch there was the fact that I can customize my French toast to my liking the food. I visited for breakfast around 9 a.m., and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The restaurant didn't appear very clean--the floors had debris and had not been mopped, and several tables, including ours, were dirty. Service was also lacking. We had to get up and find our own silverware, never received the coffee we ordered, and our server didn't come by to check on us during the meal. I was seated immediately and there wasn't much of a wait (Friday @ 11). Our waitress Alexis was very attentive and kind. I did think it was a little odd that they asked what type of egg I wanted for my eggs Benedict, but everything tasted good, so I didn't think much of it at the time. I decided to come back again and ordered the exact same thing, but this time to-go. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different...they served it with hard boiled eggs! Eggs Benedict is supposed to have poached eggs, so this was pretty disappointing and honestly confusing. Not sure if this was a mistake or just how it's made here, but it definitely wasn't what I expected the second time around. Hopefully next time, if i order the eggs benedict again (which i probably wont) hopefully its as good as the first time.
