A mixture of textures, from wood to stone work to leather chairs helped create the ambiance, and the cathedral ceiling was highlighted by painted white rafters. Today I tried the spiral ham on brioche breakfast sandwich and a café Americano, and I got a pastry with cannoli filling to go. I'm not sure what I'll get next time, but I know this bakery is a recipe for something great about our country. I'm no Maine scholar, but I'm pretty sure the state motto: "Dirigo," translates to "The pastries are delizioso," (give or take.)
