Small non assuming cafe in the heart of York. They have a take- out window in the warm season…read more Today I ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches. They were substantially filled with cheese eggs and bacon and or sausage. I ordered chorizo on my sausage bagel sandwich. Everything is made to order. My sons said they really liked their sandwiches which were bacon egg and cheese on English. Most of the sandwiches are on the menu with homemade biscuit but we ordered with English muffin. They have ugly sticks and the first time we saw that was many years ago after moving to York. The sticks are made from buttermilk batter and come in differing sugary coatings. People love those and they sell out fast. St Joes is known for its benes. The little beignet dough balls. We have never had them, but customers were coming in and ordering a dozen at a time, so I feel like these are very popular here. They also have a great selection of coffees and lattes. Their prices are on par and reasonable. The staff were personable and friendly. There is a small area to sit inside although that fills up pretty quickly on a weekend. There is online ordering although, one of the staff told me they shut it down when they are really busy. Young people, old people (like me) all seemed to enjoy coming in here. I think St Joes has a large following and for good reason. I'll come again with my 13 yr old twins and try some of those benes soon. I'll let you know, but I am sure anything prepared in this place will be good. I would show a photo of our food but we ate it too fast!

Order online or you'll be waiting a long time!!…read more Great little spot to grab breakfast and a coffee. Not much seating for how much traffic they get so you're better off getting it to go anyway. I had the egg and sausage sandwich and it was HUGE and very filling. Great flavors. Also had to try the Bennie's! So messy but so good. They offer different flavor dipping sauces - I chose maple cinnamon and it was really sweet but still really good. Drop Coffee was solid. Good flavor selection plus speciality coffees if you're looking for that instead. Highly recommend for a quick bite while you're on the road. Staff was friendly and as efficient as they could be considering the small space.

They allow you to eat with your dog as long as you're on their outside patio. We ordered the: breakfast burrito, the crab saratoga, and the morning blt. I couldn't decided between the crab saratoga or the maple walnut French toast. Our server said I could substitute the toast that comes with the crab saratoga with a half order of the French toast so I was able to try both. My favorite was the morning blt it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend that sandwich. The maple French toast was my second favorite. The crab saratoga I ordered based off all the other reviews but it was just ok to me. Not bad but wouldn't order again. Service could've been a bit better; our server was nice but she barely checked on us, took a long time to take our order, and we had to ask for everything (more water, napkins, plates etc) but to be fair it was busy. They even gave our dog a piece of bacon just because he was a good boy.
