Wait staff was great. The view was good, but not stunning. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. The hazelnut salmon was overcooked and under seasoned. Arnie's is an older restaurant, but it is clean and the staff are very friendly. It's worth going for the view alone, but the food is excellent. We have been several times and have had a variety of servers. Allison served us today and she has served us on other occasions as well. She is very attentive and fun to talk with. read more

NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. While the food was pretty good and the service excellent, I refuse to be extorted with their 4.5% SERVICE CHARGE which does not go to the server. So, by the time you tip the actual server, an additional 20-25% has been added to the meal charge. read more

I can't believe how bad this place was! We were going to go to Rory's, but they were packed so we came here. I haven't been here in probably 10 years. Maybe a little more recently, but I don't remember it being this awful. We got drinks, which were good, and our waitress was nice. But after our appetizer of the crab dip, it was so bad that I lost my appetite. My boyfriend tried to get a pasta dish, I think it was some sort of seafood Alfredo. It was awful and I can't believe he even took more than a couple bites. However, he will eat something even if it's bad when he's hungry enough. Still couldn't finish it though. This has a nice location but that is about all I can say. The place is tired and old feeling. The food was mediocre at best. The special Ahi Tuna tempura was tough, maybe overcooked because the batter was dark and fell off. that was served with wilted greens that were unappealing and the rice was a sticky blob. The seafood platter that my husband ordered came with veggies that must have been machine cut or out of a bag....The meal with no appetizers and one glass of wine and one desert was $120. Had reservations for 4 at 7:00 PM. We arrived on time. We were told to wait. After 15 minutes everyone else in the foyer was seated. Receptionist approached said that we could eat at the bar or wait for a while for a table. (1/2 hr?). We were Seated in bar in sunlight next to the door that servers were going in and out the entire time. It was hot and very bright. One us had recent eye surgery so the glare was so bad that we switched places. Can't afford blinds Arnie's ? The service was great, the food was great but the experience, not so great. Went here for a big family lunch before a wedding reception. The location is beautiful, and the view is impressive. I had the baja fish tacos. They were good but not great - the lime crème didn't seem to go very well with the fresh salsa. It wasn't a great lunch for $17, in my opinion, and didn't come with any sides. One of my kids (and a cousin sitting across from him) ordered the kids menu cheeseburger. It was very overdone - well done, bordering on burnt hockey puck status. Neither kid ate their burger, and neither dad could take over and eat it either. The other kid had a grilled cheese that was acceptable. Both kids lunches came with a mini fruit cup, which was nice. Took my daughter and her boyfriend to dinner. Pro: Excellent food, excellent service. Medium: Yes, as some have mentioned, the decor is a little dated, but I really couldn't care less. Pro: With service and food this good, I don't care if the "ambiance" isn't great. Con: Prices are not cheap. I honestly feel it's more of a $$$$ than a $$$ restaurant. But all restaurants are expensive these days, so I think they're just keeping up with the competition. read more

Go for the real thing, 2 out of 4 samples aren't that yummy (tiramisu and chocolate mousse). This restaurant has amazing views of Puget Sound. No matter where you sit, you can see the water. We were there for a Sunday brunch and what was included was fruit and sticky rolls which were amazing. I am a huge fan of these sticky rolls because they are so fresh. The kiddos loved the fruit and the dip it comes with. My daughter found eggshells in her eggs benedict which made her not want to eat it. The husband had the fisherman's platter which he really enjoyed. read more

Hubby and I found ourselves in Edmonds on a rainy Saturday, and decided to pop in for lunch. The view is terrific and looks out over the Marina as well as the ferry terminal so you can watch ferries come and go. Service was friendly, warm, professional as prompt. With COVID precautions still in place, Arnie's has done a good job to incorporate barriers without compromising the atmosphere--something that has been a challenge for many restaurants. Lunch was very good. Hubby has the Salmon with shiitake mushrooms over coconut rice and loved it. I went for the soup and sandwich combo; a large sized 'half' of a crab and shrimp sandwich with a cup of seafood bisque and fries. It's a great deal and a lot of food for the price. I drink Chardonnay so it was nice to see they had three very good Chardonnay's to choose from by the glass. I love a great view and they have a huge bar area so this is a no brainer for a seafood dinner with a view at a reasonable price and free parking. Arnie's just became a fav. read more

This is a restaurant that has frozen in time. I bet Arnies used to be a really special place back in the day. But now it just feels tired, old fashioned, both the environment and the food. Not in a good way as far as I am concerned. The menu is not small, but dated. The old fashioned pasta and seafood dishes. Nothing you haven't seen before or look remotely creative. They cook with a lot of butter. Sometimes the raviolis would be missing fillings. Desserts are overly sweet. I've been to Arnies many many times over the years because I live in the area. With their high prices and quality of food. I decided I've had enough, not even with the coupons they send often to my mail box. If you are feeling nostalgic and want a good view of the sound but don't really care about the quality of food or prices. Arnies might be a good choice. The view is indeed spectacular! In my opinion, someone should come and take over this space and make it a new and exciting spot. read more

Stopped to see a friend in Edmonds who grew up there and we stopped at Arnies for a late lunch and to sit by the waterfront. The views are magnificent and so amazing to us on our first ever visit to Edmonds. Decor is a bit dated but t You're mostly looking out the window at the Puget Sound and the mountains. The ferry comes over every so often as well. The bar looks fun and they likely have a good happy hour. I had the small seafood salad which had a tasty grilled salmon with lemon zest on top, plenty of crab, bay shrimp and pickled asparagus. Dressing was great. Others had fish and chips, seafood bisque, and the smoked salmon sandwich. The service was fine but could have been a bit more attentive considering the restaurant was essentially empty at 2:30 pm. The was legitimately bad. Salmon was over cooked and slathered in bottled BBQ sauce - plus it certainly not red salmon (as it was billed). Sticky rolls were dry. Arnie's is an older establishment, more of that classic feel. The type of restaurant that elicits feelings of going out to eat with your parents in the most nostalgic way. The service is amazing, from Jason the bartender, to Colin and Clay on the waitstaff, and really anyone on their team. They are kind, courteous, and inviting. Everything I've had has been delicious! I highly recommend the brunch specials because you get a complimentary fruit tray, sticky bun, and mimosa! I love the seafood omelette! For the regular menu, im a big fan of the fish tacos, the clam chowder, the bisque, and the seafood salad. The French bread they put out before the meal gets me every time! So warm and fluffy. Had lunch here on Friday. Never again. 5 stars for the waitress, because she was delightful and efficient. Food was mediocre as many others have said. HOWEVER the hostess was terrible. We walked in at opening time around 11:30, went to front desk and asked for a table for 3. The hostess looked peeved even though we were very friendly. With big sigh, she said, "I will see if something can be arranged." Now, there were only 4 groups waiting to be seated and the restaurant was virtually empty. We were the 5th group. There were many open tables in front of the windows and they remained that way when we left after a very leisurely lunch. She made a point of saying that the only table she could seat us at was in the lounge -- and she seemed put out that she had to give us one of those tables. Took my husband here for dinner to celebrate his birthday. I was a bit weary based on several reviews regarding poor service but we had always enjoyed ourselves there in the past. Called for reservations (same day) and asked for window seat. They said they would do their best to accommodate us. We were pleasantly surprised that we were able to get the window seat we requested as they were pretty busy. Our waiter, Cesar L, was fantastic! Very prompt and attentive without being over bearing. He had some great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed through out our meal. The food was great, exactly as we had requested. Turned out to be a perfect dinner out for us! I love eating at Arnies, but yesterday was not a good day. I had the hot seafood salad. The muscles were not edible. They tasted old and fishy, even the clam didn't taste good. When I get there , no tables is reserve and they ask us to seat worst table in the restaurant. Why should I mark reservations? No table is ready. I should just walking. People around us were getting served and taken care of and I wondered if we might be invisible over here. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to ruin her special day. Met a friend for lunch at this dependable restaurant. Since I have lived and worked in Edmonds for 50 years, I knew what to expect. We had a lovely lunch including my favorite- the Bay shrimp and crab melt. It was perfect. I have been coming here since 1981 and it has never disappointed. We had the most friendly server, always smiling and checking on us. Towards the end, she informed us that Fran the manager had taken care of our bill. What a Treat! I am so grateful!
