Ryan of Armorpoxy devised a solution to fix my armorpoxy garage floor application. I am happy for it. Thanks.

I used a contractor to do the epoxy application and although the contractor told me that this brand is the worst I already bought the product. The end result was a disaster. I contacted customer support and sent two emails but not even a response. Stay away. read more

Don't use this product if you live in the Bay Area! I hired a trusted contractor--someone who has built and renovated many parts of our home--to install an epoxy floor in our garage. While he hadn't used this specific brand before, he has successfully installed epoxy floors from Home Depot and Lowe's many times such as Rust-oleum. This product, however, cost more than twice as much, plus extra for a so-called "military grade" topcoat. Despite following the manufacturer's process, the floor never properly cured. Weather conditions were mild, with temperatures mostly in the 60s. To be cautious, we let the floor dry for two and a half weeks before driving on it. Even then, simply parking the car overnight--after driving only a short distance--caused the coating to peel completely wherever the tires sat, exposing bare concrete. When I contacted customer service, they suggested the issue was likely due to weather, moisture in the slab, or installer error. I personally observed the installation and am confident the process was followed correctly; the contractor even used a heater to help curing. Customer service then said ideal conditions are 70-75°F with less than 50% humidity. In our area, we may get one or two weeks like that in September. Waiting nine weeks to use our garage is not reasonable. We live on top of a hill in one of the driest parts of the city. They also implied this issue commonly occurs when local contractors don't follow the process, yet when I asked for a recommended installer, they could only suggest a national commercial contractor that may or may not service our area. At this point, the only option is to sand the floor and start over. Even with the 50% discount they offered, I will not purchase this product again. The process was followed, and it simply does not work reliably in our climate. We will instead use the Home Depot product that is cheaper, proven, and already trusted by our contractor. read more

The instructions were very well written, that's a real plus. The floor turned out great. I am very happy! Joe read more

Just got my order and I'm immediately disappointed. The picture on the left is what they represent comes with the 'kit'. What you actually get is the picture on the right; no brush, no squeegee, no gloves, no mixing sticks, no mixing bucket to combine parts A and B, and NO INSTRUCTIONS (other than what's on the cans that basically say mix both parts and apply with brush or roller). The instructions in one of the other reviews are great compared to what this company provides. Even their instructional video says to follow the instructions while showing a guy taking those instructions out of the mixing bucket that you don't get! We'll see how things go when I actually use the product but, first impression was extremely disappointing. Update: Ah hell, I can't stay mad! Just finished the final clear coat and it looks great. Two tips; do the sealer and two coats of color. Even if one coat looks like it will work, there will be thin spots that probably nobody else will notice but you. I did my single car garage. The two car garage will definitely be next. The clear coat goes a long way and I'm pretty sure I have more flakes left than I used. The only thing left is to see how it holds up. read more

Armour Poxy Coating Review Garth Jensen Oregon State University To Whom it may concern, After doing research on several products we were considering for coating a lab floor at the University I chose your product for a couple of reasons. 1. I liked the idea of having a single product ready to use out of the can. 2. After watching several videos the application of the product seemed fairly straightforward. 3. After reading some information on the product it seemed as if the potential danger to humans was minimal. Main issue with product: The main issue with the product was the volatility of the vapors and the potential harm the vapors may cause. Vapor from product it seemed to cause headaches for personnel in nearby offices. The flammability of the vapors was a concern as well. The room where product was applied did not have a lot of external ventilation. The warnings on the literature did not stress the importance of external ventilation in my view. Since the lab where application was needed did have building ventilation ( vent and return) The vapors were distributed throughout the building infiltrating several offices. Building was essentially evacuated as our team strategically place fans to remove potential (toxic vapors ). Fire department was called in to investigate. The whole incident caused a significant uproar and I was reprimanded for using the product I chose. I believed that closing door would minimize escape of vapors and allow product to (dry) as the time for volatility in the literature was mentioned as approximately 15 minutes or so. The documentation provided with the product in my opinion did not match up with the potential harm to humans (and or animals). The documentation did not adequately describe the extent of ventilation required to minimize potential harm. There was no mention that this product should not be used in a room ( lab space ) that is an interior wall lab space with vents and returns allowing for vapors to permeate beyond room. read more

Armor Renew is a thick coating non slip type that is put on top of existing concrete that has stain damage to renew the appearance and change the color. After pressure washing, a primer that acts as a sealer and helps with adhesion is rolled on the surface. I waited a day and then by using their special rollers, put on 4 gallons of their Armor Renew. One coat did not quite cover the area. this was probably due to the decorative holes in the concrete that took extra product to fill in. It's not cheap for a coating, but a lot less expensive than removing and replacing the surface. read more

I ordered the Armor ultra job on the pallet because of the complete tools and materials needed to do the job. Product arrived on time but was missing all the equipment such as anti skid additive, rollers, bucket and liners, mixers, spike shoes, notched squeegee. When you get your delivery make sure to check all items before scheduling your work. With their bad service and delivery you will loose money especially if your on a work schedule. to do this job i had to rent a PODS container to store all the equipment from the garage, i had to rent Diamond grinders per day, i had to schedule workers to do the job. Which all cost money. Only to find out the day of application after removing the black plastic covering the pallet that its missing all necessary tools. We had to work around it and scavenge what we needed to finish the job. we had to do the job without the necessary tools since they are not available at your local hardware stores. like the notched squegee and spike shoes. i feel like the quality of the job is not top notch since we didn't have the correct tools. they ended up refunding $240 for the missing tools. which retail for more on their website. but only refunded the "cost" of it because its on discount as they say. i smell bull is what i say. do yourself a favor stay away. There are other companies i'm sure that have better customer service and own up when they make mistakes. read more

WOW! This product delivers and more. We had unsightly calcium seepage come through our outdoor pool walls and tanning shelf. It looked so ghetto and you cannot convince people that it's calcium and not bird droppings. We used Armorpoxy and our pool actually looks better than we we first built the pool. Highly recommend this product especially if your problem is a pool rejuvenation or in need of better esthetics. There are cool colors to choose from to give your outdoor entertaining area maximum impact and a novice can do it. read more

BIG disappointment. Bought this product thinking it was an upgrade from the Rustoleum product I used last time . Boy was I wrong!!!! Followed their instructions to the tee. 1 week later, I have 4 spot that have not cured....gummy! Call Armorpoxy customer service and I had to buy a repair kit as well as tools to remove the spots. Another $100. :( Still not sure this will work. Install was done in 82 degree weather in a garage - the garage slab was new (100 days). Boo!!! read more

I have had nothing but problems with my apoxy floor. It chips easy. I will need to redo the entire floor. Gas dripped on the Apoxy floor and eat right through the Apoxy. The warranty department responded once 3 months ago but hasn't responded to any of my other emails. I literally have never been so disappointed in a product and felt so ignored by the warranty's costumer service department. And this project was 1600 square feet. read more

Ordered Armorpoxy Epoxy kit for my He/She shed, the epoxy worked wonderfully, so easy to sweep the floor clean and the DIY instlation was easy with the instructions from Armorpoxy. Highly recomend this product read more

The team was responsive to my questions, and the materials worked great. The metallic epoxy looks fantastic!

Armorpoxy is a high quality product for sure. Just used it for a three car garage and it gives a durable, thick coating. However, I can't give them 5 stars because the shipping time of the product is so long. We placed an order and didn't receive a receipt until about 8 days later. I then had to call several times to inquire when it would be shipped, which took a few more days. We built plenty of time into our renovation schedule for exactly this sort of thing but 11 days was really pushing it. That's when we learned that we were short on the first coat. The last third of the garage looked really thin and spotty. I called and they quickly submitted an order for the missing material at no charge (awesome!). However we were then waiting another 10 days or so for that to arrive. So we've had 1800 lbs of unassembled cabinetry sitting on our driveway for a week now and it's been pretty stressful protecting it against the rain (and potential thieves). Would have definitely given then 5 stars if they just shipped more promptly. So my tip is to order 30-50% more than what you think you need at least 2-3 weeks before you think you'll need it. read more

I am giving 5 stars first because of their customer service representative Arthur. He kept his cool when I was stressed because I ran out of product. With that said I will break it down from the start to finish so hang in there if you want the best product available. 1. After good friends did all the research and completed their garage two years ago they referred us to Armorpoxy. 2. Moving into our new house my first mistake was NOT getting the primer. BUY THE PRIMER! And have help because it is more work then you might think. 3. Follow the instructions to prep the floor. I masked the edges. Then I could paint freely. Primer will give you two advantages, 1)a practice run at painting the floor (But remember the Armorpoxy will be a lot thicker) 2)it will help provide an even coat of the Armorpoxy (this was a big reason why I should have bought the primer) 4. The spike shoes have to be assembled before you start. 5. ORDER AHEAD OF TIME! This stuff is heavy and when it is shipped it will get there when the shipper gets it there. Unless you pay for 2 Day or Overnight which if you are paying that then you aren't doing the work yourself! 6. You need 1 day for each step. Acid wash and masking is day 1. Primer is day 2. Paint and flakes is day 3. And the finish coat is last. Each day is to allow time for drying. 7. Watch the temperature because it can't be too hot or too cold. At least that's what the say so again follow their steps. 8. VERY VERY IMPORTANT....Only you know you garage floor size and you have to paint in the creases between pads. This is where a second person because it will start to harden faster if you are using the same large bucket to mix the epoxy. 9. I recommend taking time to figure out how many sections you will be painting. My garage was 2 & 1/2 cars and I had five separate concrete slabs to paint. Buy two measuring cups for slab so you can separate out the epoxy equally. And the paint is 2-1 but you should be able to reuse the same cup for the paint but making sure you measure it equally. My mistakes: I didn't get the primer! I didn't measure equally and when I started mixing for the fourth slab I realized I didn't have much left for the fifth and final slab. I didn't put the spiked shoes together before I started because I thought they were already put together! They will help when you throw the flakes. I believe in this product and appreciate the representative Arthur who helped me understand the primer would have helped and also how thick it gets. It wasn't until I started this review that I realized mixing the epoxy in the same bucket will speed up the hardening process since the previous mixture is still hardening! So if you separate equally you can use the largest bucket 2-3x's then the paint bucket and last the epoxy bucket! I hope this was helpful! Good Luck! From Gilbert Arizona! read more

We did one of our commercial bays at our marine business and it turned out incredibly well. It is stunning. The kit came with everything we needed to get the job done and we were able to do it easily between the two of us (husband and wife). Our advice read the instructions, don't use the mixer with a high powered commercial drill, start with the flakes in the least noticeable place until you get the spreading motion down. We highly recommend this product. read more

Using the website to order up some Supratiles for my garage was quick and easy. I should have grabbed a couple spare to have on hand since it would have been nothing to include on the shipping (arrived on small pallet). Tiles were a breeze to install with a 16" vertical bandsaw (to contour the outside perimeter) and a rubber mallet. My existing cracked and slightly uneven flooring is now a nice uniform color slightly uneven floor (haha). It has made all the difference though in appearance as well as rolling around my equipment and tool carts. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and would suggest it to anyone that is considering epoxy or similar as an alternative. read more

I placed my order 27 August with a requested delivery date of 16 Sept. It was communicated to the customer service rep the importance of delivering on 16 Sept as I was driving from Los Angeles to Redding, CA in order to do the floors in our new house. I called subsequent to 27 Aug to confirm the delivery date. I was assured 16 September would be a go I was there 15 September until 17 September but could not wait any longer. I had to return to Los Angeles to coordinate our moving on the 22nd. The order was not delivered as promised and reassured to me during the followup phone call Greg at Armorpoxy followed up and said the order would make it to the terminal late Tuesday night (19th) or early Wednesday (20th). It arrived the 20th. The terminal called me that morning and scheduled a delivery, which required me or my representative to sign for delivery at the house. Since I was 600 miles away I had to contract with someone to accept delivery. We were moving in on the 26th of September, which meant the garage had to be done in sufficient time before that in order to put all my tools, machines, and other garage intended items in there. Since I couldn't get back up,there to do the work myself as I planned, I had to contract it out at a cost of $2300. I communicated my displeasure with Greg in numerous emails. He offered a $350 credit which I accepted. As of the 29th I still haven't received the credit. I would completely avoid this company. They make a good product but their service and promises stink. I ordered, for a second time, Armorpoxy to finish my roof as I didn't order enough initially. Ordering online 2 additional buckets, they sent back an acknowledgement for twice my order in price and quantity. I immediately messaged to correct the error, they acknowledged and said it would be corrected and not to worry the bill also would reflect 2 not 4 as well. The shipping took place 2 not 4 so I felt all was fine. Then my cc statement showed up with the price doubled. I immediately called my cc and explained and they marked as fraudulent, I was very clear I was liable for the 2, or half, but it was not correct I ordered and received 2. Armorpoxy instead has said it's correct and continued with the full bill. Reading other reviews it seems several people have been scammed/overcharged by Armorpoxy. I would advise to look elsewhere and stay away. read more

Instructions provided are horrible and caused me to make errors. I reviewed other instructions on the web and they were so much better and would have prevented me making the mixing error I made. I am quite pissed off that the terrible instructions omitted very important information and ruined the job and created a mess for me besides wasting my money. read more

Armorpoxy is good product from the quality surface aspect; however their advertising is deceptive and their product is therefore much more costly than you might initially think. The truth is that it will take TWICE as much as their website indicates to do your job. This simple means that you can consider replacing your deck for the same money are only a smidgen more than what it will cost you to paint it with Armorpoxy. read more
