I call today and was informed by Kendra Valdes, that since I was on auto payments that it's my fault that I will not be reimbursed the 125.55 from Stor-N-Lok in Eugene, Oregon due to not canceling my autopay. Unfortunately, that's considered theft by this company and unethical business practice. They have a stellar sign up deal which is why I went with them in the first place. The manager is really cool and understanding and the staff as a whole has been nothing but kind and professional. All in all I have no complaints aside from the pricing after the new costumer deal isn't the best but it's not terrible. I have a 5X10 unit and it's $100/mo which isn't a terrible price but my boyfriend has a 10X10 and he only pays $15 more at another location that's newer and set up in a better way. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a storage facility located in Eugene.

There was no favoritism or anything, they just communicated every time there was a problem before taking any drastic actions, they gave me reasonable leeway, they were always respectful and they went above and beyond to reach me if there was a hiccup. And they were super happy for me when I finally got to empty it! They've treated a friend I recommended them to exactly the same so A+ for consistency. They're friendly and reasonable as long as you pay your bill, because it's a good business and that's how a business should operate. The place is clean, there's a second section called the annex around the corner for even more units so there's regular availability, the units are secure and well maintained, the hours are awesome, and the dragon sculpture is my favorite.

After researching and calling around, my kid found Bertelsen Self Storage and discovered they had an available unit for the months she needed, the size of unit needed, and their price per month was less than other storage places around. She paid $40 to reserve the unit - and it's a good thing she did, as we discovered that all units here were rented out by June, when she needed her rental period to begin! When we arrived here in our U-Haul, loaded with furniture and belongings, we were on a tight schedule, and we were dismayed that the place was closed for lunch until 2pm (it was 1:30pm at the time, and their outgoing phone message did not mention their lunch hours - only their general hours of operation). We weren't pleased, but when the young lady arrived at 2pm, she was so pleasant and friendly, that made up for our scheduling issues caused by the lost half hour. I wish I could remember this woman's name, but she was super accommodating in allowing us to pay for the locker rental in the way we wanted, as well as prorate payment until the date in September we wanted. She really worked with us, and we appreciated it a lot. (They can let you pay month by month, or in full, or add on "x" amount of days - whatever works best for you). Of course we forgot to bring a lock, so they sold us a sturdy one for $10 and my kid liked the option of having the office hold on to the extra key, just in case she misplaced or lost her key. She also liked the fact that she could set her own code, needed for the keypad to access and exit the facility. The facility itself was not new or shiny or modern in any way. But it was clean and it was functional. It reminded me of every storage locker I've ever seen in every CSI tv show (minus the creepy findings in those tv lockers. LOL!). Older, dimly lit, metal pull-down doors, etc. But it was exactly what we needed for all the items we had, and everything fit and it was secure and the price was right. Who needs fancy? Perhaps if we had priceless Oriental rugs and Van Gogh paintings, I'd think twice about storing them here. But for a college student's dorm room fridge and bedding and some hand-me-down furniture and dishes, this is a perfect place to store stuff for the summer months.

RATS! I never write reviews but my experience was so awful that I feel I've been left no other…read moreoption. We had all of our stuff in storage here for 8 months. When we went back to the unit we discovered that there was a rat infestation. The manager told us that rats had been reported months earlier but we weren't informed. If we had been told maybe we could remove our stuff in time to avoid this situation. The manager said they had called an exterminator but we found a large LIVE rat in our unit and 11 LIVE newborn rats in a box. (See photos) Every surface was covered with rat urine and feces. All of our soft furniture: couch, mattress, glider had been chewed and destroyed. Between the furniture we need to replaced, the cleaning costs, and the junk removal costs we are out over $2,500. Not to mention the weeks it will take to disinfect everything so that my toddlers don't get sick. It has been almost a month and we still have not received any compensation. All we were offered was $500, which only covers the disposal fee of what was destroyed (and we still haven't even received that check yet). Multiple emails and voicemails have gone unanswered the past 2 weeks. Learn from our mistake and do not use this facility.

My son set this up for the summer therefore I thought there was no money due based on the invoice. 10 days later my son got another invoice with a late fee. I called to inquire. Though he did remove the late fee and I setup automatic payments, when my son received the close out statement it had a note: MOMs a CUNT. Wow, all I did was call and inquire about how to understand his invoices so payments would not be late in the future. My son and his friend commented how the owner is rude and they were hoping to deal with him as little as possible. Though the rate may be cheap, I would. It recommend this place for the poor judgment in customer service. I would give a negative rating if I could.
