Do not use these guys! They will overcharge you by at least three times what John Negrete will quote you over the phone. Guaranteed they will hold your things Hostage for payment! Told us to pay a deposit of $100 via Cash App. The driver called when they got to my storage place @ 4:15pm. Storage cameras and computer show that they left the storage facility @ 4:26. They showed up at our apartment @ 7:12. The driver came in with paperwork and said our total was $800 dollars. We didn't pay. The Christian owner John told them to take our stuff to the yard until we pay. He kept contacting my boyfriend everyday lowering his price. He finally gave in last night and paid him $300 dollars. Our things were dropped off. The thing is that NONE of my things were even picked up from my storage unit. It turns out they stole someone else's belongings from the same facility! They charged us for stealing another person's possessions and held it hostage for payment from us! They didn't even do the job that they were hired to do to begin with!!! I filed a police report on thursday 10/26. The next day I started paperwork with the Az Attorney General's Office, contacted the BBB and called the National Consumer Complaint Data Base. I used this company twice, stored a whole house full of furniture for 7 months, $5000+I paid for all my moving expenses, $1000s more. I tipped them well them and fed them. After I got my things out of storage, I told them to keep many pieces of furniture, to donate how they wished. The only thing that bothers me, is that I didn't get a few pieces back, especially a chair I had had for almost 20 years. They moved me fine, but didn't get the items I wanted back. If I could Ok this company told the price would be a certain amount once they loaded most of my stuff which they did not get all my stuff and told me they would not do a second trip I said, how do I get the rest of my stuff they said that's up to you on what you're gonna do because we are not doing a second trip we get to the new house they say we need payment before we unload. I say OK I go to make payment and then they tell me no it's $200 more than what they said I said I'm not paying $200 more when they told me it was going to be this amount, so he said we are not unloading your stuff and if you do not pay this amount, we are taking your stuff back to the yard and I won't get it back and then I said fine I need my stuff so I paid the extra $200 and then they told me they were putting the boxes in the rooms they go there unloading it on the driveway and I have to take care of it myself which they told me in the beginning they unload it and put each thing in the rooms they go in. They also told me they were sending three men and a truck they only sent two men as these two men stood around and did hardly anything my brother in children loaded the truck fully, my brother I need some old furniture which was supposed to be the movers job. This place is a joke, and then as I argued with the movers that I wanted to talk to the owner or the manager, he kept telling me oh, he's in surgery, and the older son was on the phone with him, but told told the worker don't ever call me with a customer right there by you. I'm not talking to them and then I heard him say on the phone I don't care what they say. Charge them more charge him more if they don't pay it take their stuff. One of the men told me that the company is a joke, and they subcontract them out.and the company does this to people who they know have money. I hope this prevents any future victims, but I'm pretty sure www.movesforlessaz.com is a scam. It's a long horrific story and I've got a couple of attorneys on the case. They even try to hide and lie about their reviews. The owner told me his name is Johnny Discount and had quite the strategy to reel me in, and I was told by the staff that this is common, for people to even cry with his threats of police involvement due to his initial false quote, near impossible to understand email written confirmation under someone else's bogus name and so much more. To top it things were stacked horribly and falling, hurting many of my items, damaging my computer, breaking both of my printer wires, my favorite mug my mom gave me an irreplaceable bowl and another bowl. There could be more as I'm still unpacking. When I mentioned this to him after I paid him almost a thousand for my small 1 bedroom apartment move (his quote was $150 first hour and some change and said it would likely only take a couple hours), he said I was the one ripping him off. I've been in so much distress and tears over this. He even used the name of God and pretended to pray for me, knowing I'm a missionary with little income. I pray the Lord has mercy on his soul. If there were -0- Stars that would be my rating. In short, they were over 2 hours late and lied on pricing. I disclosed everything I had to move and asked a ton of questions. I even sent a confirmation e-mail to verify what John Negrete told me. When moving day came, Joe the Dispatcher changed the price from the $450 - $500 they quoted to $650 to $700. 0 stars! Worst experience ever! Was charged three times what I was quoted. They damaged my home, said they'd 'make it right' but didn't. They moved two pieces of furniture 50ft and it cost me over $1000. Their customer service is the WORST! John should not have any customer interaction. I had to pay out of pocket to fix the damage they did to my stairwell. I contacted them over 12 times without getting a response. They were screening my calls. This company is a fraud. We called and we're given a quote from John, $155.00 an hour. He asked what we needed moved. My girlfriend has a storage unit in Mesa. Clothes, household items, our granddaughters toys. Boxes and totes. No furniture. Nothing big. 20min of loading. I myself had clothes and shoes. Again nothing heavy. No furniture. 10min of loading. My girlfriend did the research beforehand and estimated using Google maps the distance from from point A to point B and the drop off at point C. A total of 33 miles. 50 minutes driving. 30 minutes loading. Total time 1hour and 30 minutes. John gave us an appointment for 11am-1pm. He later called and changed it to 2pm-4pm. They didn't start until 4:15pm. arriving at point C at 7pm. We were then told that we owe a total of $800.00!! We sent him a deposit of $100 via cash app. the night before. He told his worker's to take our belongings to the yard. We'll John doesn't seem to think that hostage loads are illegal!!! I've already filed a complaint with the BBB, the AZ Dept. of Public Safety, Consumer Information and Complaints Unit, the Arizona Attorney Generals Office, and Local Law Enforcement! Don't be his next victim. Stay away from these scammers. I'm a fighter. I never give up.
