Super fresh. Reasonable prices. Cake cost about $45. Service was quick. The ambiance reminded me of a Starbucks, but with more food items and less coffee. read more

Best bakery for all of your Dulce de leche needs! Great coffee, great empanadas, and great desserts! A family favorite for us for sure!

This place has swag. Not in an obvious way, but in the quiet type of wealth way. They have these awesome bistro tables and leather seats to sit in. The lightning is perfect. It's a great place to go with your friends and talk quietly. The coffee is top notch and the sweets are good, however they are very sweet.... I personally prefer the European level of sweetness. The rolled cake I had was practically drenched in syrup. The strawberry cheesecake is good, however the strawberries could stand to be marinated longer. Definitely a place I'd visit again, even if it's just for the ambiance and coffee. PS. The miniature cake slice was delicious. read more

Super friendly staff! We purchased several things to try and all were delicious! The macaroons were absolutely delicious! Our Children loved the churros! Eclairs to die for! Alfajores super tasty! Tarts beautifully done and so yummy! On the savory front we taste tested various empanadas: Spinach, brisket, ham & cheese, and beef w/ jalapeño. Each were delicious in their own right. Kudos to the staff who were very welcoming and friendly to us. Our van broke down outside the bakery and we needed to hang out for several hours. We greatly appreciated their warm hospitality. Fabian was super! Cassandra and Blanca were super helpful and friendly as well. read more

I grew up in Houston and remember visiting Marini's Empanada House located on Westheimer, in the Montrose area. That was a hip, trendy section of Westheimer, back in the 1970s/80s). Unfortunately, the restaurant burned down in 1985. I never had another empanada after that, until... Yesterday, I had dinner at a friend's home. One of the items served was empanadas from Argentina Bakery. The food had cooled to room temperature, but was still delicious. The crust was amazingly flaky and the filling was quite tasty. I liked it so much, that I visited the bakery this morning. When I walked in, the crowd was very diverse, further illustrating the bakery's appeal. It has two nice dining areas, including a 3 table bistro area outside. I ordered a dozen empanadas of various types. My plan was to take them home, but they smelled so good, I decided to have a couple before leaving. Although a beautiful Texas Spring day, families occupied all the outside tables, so I dined inside. Every empanada I sampled (beef/egg/jalapeño, ham & cheese and chicken & cheese) were great. Two were a satisfying meal for me, but once I got home I ate a third one. Their dessert and cake displays looked amazing, so the next time I stop by, I'll order dessert to go with my empanada(s). One last thing: If you're in Houston, Marini's Empanada House is back and there are a couple locations from which to choose. read more

I don't even know where to start with this review from the poor customer service, management, or quality of their tiered cake. If you are thinking of buying a tiered cake from here for any event, DON'T. I paid almost a $100 for a small 2-tier cake just for the top tier to fall into the bottom tier before I made it down the street. The platform for the top tier was not secured to the cake or the poles that go through the bottom tier. (see picture). I returned to bakery to find resolution for my falling cake and got NOTHING. The lady called management, management said "there's NOTHING we can do" keep in mind I picked up the cake just a couple of hours earlier and didn't even drive up to 5 miles before the cake started to slide off the platform and fall into the bottom tier. I left this bakery in tears, with a screaming baby with NO cake for an event I had that day. I was heartbroken, I put my trust in this bakery and they left me high and dry, no cake, and NO refund. After I left and drove away, I get a call from the bakery, the lady said if I BUY another cake she will give me a partial refund for the previous cake, which was never eaten. Did I have a choice? NOPE, I was desperate, they knew that and took advantage of me. I returned to buy a much smaller cake (the only option I had) and got a few bucks back. Lesson learned, not all business is good business. Just because they have an established storefront doesn't mean they know what they are doing. I've been to this bakery a few times before, but will NEVER go back. I hope my experience helps them improve for the next customer because no one deserves such treatment. read more

ALL of the bread I received from the bakery was stale. The cake tasted like it was two or three days old and was rock hard. Our churro was also stale and hard to chew. I came to this bakery expecting freshly baked goods, but it's clear that they don't throw away their days-old food . Don't recommend this bakery to ANYONE. read more

Second time we visited in person. People, this is a place you've got to try. No ambivalence here. They refer to the desserts by their contents (eg, "it has caramel and puff pastry...") not by a name I wouldn't necessarily recognize. read more

Unfortunately this place is going downward on a spiral. Not only their empanadas keep going up in price with every visit, they are bad. Soggy, raw dough, bland fillings, not worth $32 plus for a dozen . Their palmeritas are thin, doughey not crispy. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Nowadays seems like they forgot about quality of food, and are mostly worried about just making the paper. read more

The baked items are unique, the empamadas are filling, and everything we sampled was superb!

So Delicious and am going back to try more! First time visit and had read great comments from others on a local Facebook page- decided to give it a go after finishing up with an appt. Let the person behind the counter know it was our first time- she made great suggestions and we loved EVERYTHING that we had and honestly we were sad that we had not purchased more. Their Dulce de Leche is so silky smooth and just a creamy delicious heaven in your mouth. Their packaging is very professional and I will absolutely be back for not only my personal experience, but to purchase and take to clients for appointments as their offerings are special, delicious, and beautiful. If you haven't given this place a try then make it a point to do so! read more

Came in for breakfast. Empanadas and pastries were great. Coffee was good too along with friendly service

WOW! This is such a hidden gem. You walk in and there are cases lined with tantalizingly beautiful and fresh baked goods. The back has various Argentinian groceries and staples. They have really tasty uncommon takes on lattes (coconut, charcoal, etc.) and they taste great. The empanadas are delicious. I got the spinach and cheese, and although it was a tad bit salty, it was so hot and crispy and full of flavor that I didn't mind so much. My friends got the brisket one and they said it was amazing. They make them fresh and you can smell the hot ones coming out of the oven--makes it hard to say no! As for the sweets, everything tasted as good as it looks. They have French, American, and Argentinian pastries, and they make all of them very well. I also think it'd be hard for you to find a good place that makes French pastries with Argentinian flavors this good! Overall this is a wonderful quick stop for a snack, or a quiet/cozy place to meet with friends for coffee or to do work or study. I will definitely be back to try everything else in the bakery. read more

This place is good! *EDIT* Food- First of all, I so appreciate the vegetarian empanada options. I got the spinach and egg empanadas and they were delicious. I had three and I wish I had 30. Coffee- I got the Mayan Mocha (iced) and I was actually shocked by how good the mocha was. You can tell a mocha is high quality when even the powder is tasty. There was mocha sprinkled on the whipped cream and when I ate it- I knew this was going to be the best mocha I had ever had. It was perfectly sweet and not at all bitter, like lower quality mochas tend to be. All in all, the coffee was a beautiful and delicious treat. Definitely the best mocha i've ever had. *EDIT* I got the medium when I wrote this review, I went back the next day and got the large- it was not good, it tasted watered down, as if they add more milk with the larger size and not more mocha. Could just be who made it this time, but I would stay safe and get the small or medium. End edit. Ambiance- The decor and feeling of the space was a masterpiece. Initially I was just runny in but I HAD to sit in one of their beautiful chairs and take in the space. Everything is gorgeously rustic and very well maintained. Customer service- The staff was very sweet the first time i went especially. The first time I went a nice lady made my drink. She asked me if i wanted whip or no whip and I asked for whip, she added some chocolate sauce and mocha on top and made it pretty and tasty. The second time a guy made my drink, he didn't ask for whip or no whip and when i got my drink I realized I wanted whip and hadn't asked so I went to ask. He tried to charge me extra which was a little surprising since he hasn't asked but he changed his mind. He didn't add any of the good stuff the other lady added and when I tasted it (as mentioned in the 'coffee' section) it was very watered down. I actually ended up dumping it out at home, it was not good and I felt like I wasted my money (literally dumped it down the drain lol) So i guess customer service depends on who you get that day? All in all, this place was pretty great! Drink depend on person. read more

Great little coffee shop with fresh pastries & sweets. It doesn't have over the top service it's very chill. You walk in & order your treat, choose if you would like a coffee or cappuccino, etc. Then pick a seat. They don't bother you, so you can come here to catch up on your reading or to meet with a friend. I love this place simply because it reminds of me of when I was in college, that chill no judgement type of vibe. I don't come here often but when I do I have at least one chicken empanada because omg the explosive flavor combination is amazing. I also recommend dining in just to stare at all the goodies - I mean oh my goodness they are so stinkin cute!! Stop in soon! Xo. read more

Wow! What a find!!!!!!! This place is absolutely amazing. The case of desserts and pastries is a work of art, so beautiful and everything looks mouthwateringly delicious. I had this super warm, flaky buttery ham and cheese roll which inhaled In my car. Needed a napkin for my greasy hands but who cares when something is that good. For dessert for breakfast, I had another super flaky and really great pastry. It wasn't too sweet, great layers, coconut and I think guava in the middle, with chocolate and a glaze. The empanadas are great. Doughy shortening infused crust, along with a moist, tasty filling. It's interesting that they use hard boiled eggs. The spinach ones are super earthy, since it's packed with whole spinach leaves. The pionono is like a tres leche cake mixed with a Swiss roll. Wet in texture, plenty of peach taste, creamy overall, with a light amount of sugar. The malitas was similar, except a cube shape and way more texture. There's a lot going on texture wise. Even though it Looks super sweet, it's not. If anything, it's slow so you can fully distinguish the flavor looks super sweet, it's not. Was looking for a coffee shop after car shopping in Irving, and happened upon this place. Happy accident! This place is AWESOME! The cafe is charming, and very Argentinean. Beautiful leather furniture and heavy wood pieces. This is a very upscale and comfortable place to spend some time. The food is delicious. We had breakfast empanadas (brisket and eggs), and they were perfect. My husband ordered a pastry that he absolutely loved. Everything in the case looked delicious, and I am literally stopping myself from going back and ordering one of everything (plus, there is now a line of people waiting to order food - I've never been so grateful for a crowd!). The coffee is great as well. I just got drip coffee (dark and delicious!), but they make a lot of espresso drinks as well. This place is a keeper! I will be back! read more

Love this local bakery. The flavors remind me of things I ate as teen surrounded by Hispanic culture. The simple palmeritas, decandent roscas (rosquitas?) with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, the mini fruit tarts, and alfajores is my favorite order and the full cakes look wonderful. Definitely ordering one for my next birthday. Staff is always attentive. They don't even laugh at my attempts to pronounce the dessert names. Popular spots with locals so you know its good. read more
