I love empanadas and I was really excited to try this place. We went on Easter Sunday and it was packed!! Its pretty small so at one point it was standing room only. I ordered brisket, beef & egg, and ham & cheese empanadas. I really wanted to try the ham & cheese so we had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to finish cooking. So my favorite part of these empanadas was the crust. Its very flaky and light which is something I'm not use to. But other than that they were just okay. I had the ham & cheese which I thought was kind of bland and the brisket which I did not like at all. My kid ate both of the beef and egg empanadas which he absolutely loved. So I have a feeling I'll be going back on his behalf and maybe I try something else. read more

This place is perfect! Everything is fresh and delicious! The empanadas are made with ground seasoned beef, spinach, chicken or ham. The beef comes with egg and/or jalapeños. The teas and coffee are gourmet and rich. The tres leeches cake was a dream! Moist and delicious. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere are inviting and warm. I've loved this tiny bakery for many years -- mostly for their awesome empanadas(the beef & jalapeno ones are my fave). They even sell the empanada wrappers there if you want to try to make your own at home! They also have some other Argentinean products for sale there too. An additional thing I love at this bakery are all of their various dulce de leche-filled pastries and cookies which I am a sucker for. I haven't tried any of their other desserts but I'm sure I'll eventually try them soon. Definitely a great spot to stop by for a light lunch or a coffee break. read more

Finally, a place that BAKES empanadas, as they should be! None of that fried empanada stuff. The Good: Their empanadas deliver a well mixed recipe of meat of choice, eggs, and onions wrapped inside a flaky empana crust. Priced at ~ $1.50/ea it was cheap to try more than one kind. I went with the chicken, beef, and brisket for starters. All were good, but decided not to repeat the brisket. Although there was nothing wrong with the brisket itself, it seemed to me that the taste of brisket beef overwhelmed the taste of the dough and other ingredients and did not delver the full empanada taste. The Bad (Maybe) The empanadas were missing raisins and olives as part of the stuffing. The chimichurri sauce is not bad but not great either. It was a bit too vinegary. Overall: Great tasting empanadas at an inexpensive price means that you can't go wrong with this place. read more

This is a great place we found. We have lived in Irving for awhile but had never stopped in this place. Once we did, we are hooked. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because I had a custom cake done for my baby shower and it tasted amazing. The lady who helped me over the phone was great. I was hoping to get a cake done for a baptism but after several attempts of going to the location, calling, and even sending pictures to one of the employees. I've still had no luck. When I went into the store (Sunday) the employee told me the baker wasn't in I totally understood. She said she'd ask if he could make the cake an also add the decorations I wanted and to call the next day. I called the next day(Monday) explained what happened the previous day and I was told the baker wouldn't be in till Wednesday if I could call back. I called today (Tuesday) again repeated the situation and was told I needed to go back into the store. I explained to the employee my distance and that I had already left everything even two pictures of two different options in case one wasn't available and all I got in response was to give her my number and I'd get a call back. ‍ I am still waiting sadly I will not be going back due to customer service. The pastries are always stale and they completely misrepresent the pastries from Argentina. Being from Buenos Aires and having had the blessing of eating the pastries there, I am so embarrassed to have Argentina Bakery put out such horrible stuff. I was excited to find a place that actually served empanadas. The chicken empanadas were not done when I got there so I got a spinach egg and banana and a cup of coffee. I am giving them four stars because I like the place I like the seating and I like the atmosphere. The coffee is very strong and the spinach egg empanada was not good. Because there was no egg.
