Your standard diner with a few curve ball menu items (Mexican, Greek, Asian). Service was pretty slow at points, but they were very crowded. We enjoyed everything we had: two salads, shrimp teriyaki and pulled pork. Not the best in our lives, but it's a diner. Chicken noodle soup was on point, and they have smoothies, which made my inner 5 year old quite happy. The salads were enough for two people or another meal later. read more

I had a great breakfast here on Saturday morning! I couldn't decide what to get because they had so many options on the breakfast menu! The lunch and dinner menu also looked pretty big, but was not in the mood for that so didn't look too closely. However, the breakfast menu had lots of choices of omelettes, pancakes, french toast, wraps, sandwiches, and waffles. There was a lot of sides to choose from and everything sounded delicious! I ended up getting the cinnamon raisin french toast and a side of sausage. My boyfriend got the smores pancakes (They also had smores waffles on the menu!) My cinnamon raisin french toast was amazing! I would definitely recommend it. The sausage was also really good. The smores pancakes were also really good. The marshmallows on top were roasted and stuck together in clumps. There were also little pieces of broken up graham crackers. Overall great food and would love to come here again and try one of the other many options! Service was also pretty good. It was around 1 pm when we were here and was not crowded. We did not have to wait for a table, maybe because we came at an off time. Waiter was very attentive with refilling water and making sure we had everything we needed. I always thought over time my visits we're getting worse I've been disappointed. I went today and simple turkey sandwich and asked if it was fresh turkey I was told by the Waiter it was. To my surprise it was basically deli sliced turkey so honestly it was the most expensive turkey sandwich I had based off Deli meat. I got the brisket sandwich, and it was clearly store-bought and nuked. The menu has a decent number of items but considerably smaller than most diners that I've been to. The prices are higher. An appetizer and an entree could run you about $30. We ordered the fried calamari ($12 or $13), which comes with either marinara or teriyaki sauce. If you don't specify, they'll bring you marina sauce by default. We also tried the shrimp quesadilla ($17), which comes with a side of rice and beans as well as all the fix-ins (salsa, guacamole, and sour cream). Not exceedingly busy at prime time on a Sunday morning. That makes a hungry family very happy. I noticed it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Watch out for the reserved parking spots in their lots. All the spots aren't theirs. The initial order taking was very quick but we waited a bit for our order. The food was on the bland side but decent. We primarily had eggs and toasted and corn beef hash. All in all it was nice and I'd come back. Came back on 1-27-18 for brunch. The place was packed! Really just ok. Service definitely needs some brushing up with. Wait staff is difficult to communicate with and you often have to do a lot to get your server's attention. When you finally do get in contact with your server they're often very rude and short with you for no reason. This place could be a whole lot better if the wait staff wasn't so upset to be working here (the gents at the counter are always friendly!) The food is ok, nothing too fantastic and definitely overpriced compared to other diners in the area. Why are you charging upwards of ten dollars for eggs? For that price you can at least expect something gourmet. I get that this place used to be a video rental place but it still just looks like you're dining in someone's basement so it doesn't even feel like a diner. Came on a Sunday morning and surprised that it wasn't packed. I thought they came around offering coffee way too much. I had the eggs benedict and my boyfriend had the pancakes. The food was decent and I liked the breakfast potatoes a lot but thought they put a piece of ham steak on my benedict rather than Canadian bacon. The pancakes were a hit though. The only complaint was that the butter for the pancakes was frozen and hard to melt on the pancakes. The place is IMMACULATE which is nice but I found the pastry, cake display in the front was really sad and didn't offer much. Had a $20 egg white omelette (upcharge on egg whites!) that when served, I realized after biting, was out of the box eggs. I can't believe that in 2019 people would do this. If anything it should have been cheaper for the white omelette in this case. I raised the issue and said I want real eggs (tall order I guess). This caused back and forth for 15 minutes between the kitchen, manager and waitress. They finally accommodated me. Still I find the whole episode absurd. Serve REAL egg whites. I was very disappointed with the service I received here. I don't remember the exact name but I think it was called the very berry French toast which was supposed to be challah French toast with whipped cream cheese (I assumed stuffed French toast), berries, and Nutella. When the server brought the dish it was missing the berries and whipped cream cheese so I told her. She came back with the berries but no cream cheese and thought I wanted whipped cream? When a second server double checked the menu he realized it said whipped cream cheese which is surprising that they don't even know their own menu. Challah French toast also tasted like regular bread French toast. I will preface my review by saying that hailing from northern New Jersey, arguably the diner capital of the galaxy, has made me a bit of a diner snob. My family ate here the morning after attending a family wedding in nearby Tarrytown. Atmospherically, the diner is generally very pleasing; it is cozy, bright, and colorful. My family, a party of four, arrived around 11:15 A.M. and had to wait about 15-20 minutes to be seated. The tables are rather close together, and the acoustics make it sort of difficult to hear when the restaurant is as busy as it was on this particular morning. The menu, as it turns out, was not a full menu at the time, but a breakfast only menu, which is fine, though not what I tend to anticipate when I hear the word "diner." I ordered my typical diner breakfast: a Greek omelette; it came with home fried potatoes and toast, as is typical. It was delicious and prepared to perfection. My boyfriend and my parents also spoke highly of their meals (a Belgian waffle topped with fruit, blueberry pancakes, and some sort of eggs Benedict with tomato and avocado, respectively). The service was sometimes a bit lackluster; though our server was very friendly, we did have to ask twice and wait for quite a bit of time to receive more coffee. As stated earlier, we also had to wait for a time to be seated, which isn't a huge deal, but there isn't really a comfortable place to wait, and they didn't give us an estimate of how long the wait might be. Lastly, toward the end of our meal, my mother got up to use the restroom, and an employee removed her chair from our table and gave it to someone at another table without asking if we were finished with the chair! We were almost finished anyway, but it was a little off putting, and we felt a bit as though we were being rushed to leave.
